In the days of old before the earth was born, Melkor was a mighty sevant of lluvatar and he served him well. Lluvatar then created the earth and sent his sevents upon it to watch over it. Melkor, great though his power was, he grew jealous when he saw the creation of his master and wished for equal and greater power. And so he abandoned the ways of peace and attacked his master's creation and those who he opposed. After he had been depleated of power, because of his never ending onslaught he created the great fortress of Angband where his offspring was spawned... Morgoth son of Melkor...
