Mr. Dur

Lived in age 0 of Tutorial X and got 1 heir(s) (Mur).

Mr Dur. Very little was known of the merchant Dur. He appeared on the shores of lands belonging to the Leather Rebels late in the age. His arrival did little to affect the outcome of the coming Armageddon however he proved himself as a savvy merchant and most reliable Dwarf. He formed many holds around the land.

Possibly his most notable battle was that of the Whitescar ridge. An extract of the recorded battle is noted below.

It was a warm day in April. Starta was a land afire with the smell of blood. The castle of Limerick sat ominously on the ridge of the Whitescar Hills. This is the tale of Dur.

''I'll never forget the first time I heard the Wyvern call. six of them came screaming down from the sky at 50mph. I'd been in Starta for less than a day but already I had been thrown headlong into a fray.

Screams echoed and roared around the camp and from the Wyverns riders; arrows and bolts tore into the tents. I pulled myself out of the tent and dragged my tired body out into the night. To my right I saw a platoon of Cave-minders plow into one of the Wyverns and engage it in close hand combat. Two of the other Wyverns had became entangled during one of there attack runs and were busy intently trying to tear each other apart.

I could see nothing of the other Wyverns and stumbled wearily toward the source of the screams. In under 20 minutes I could see the Wyverns. The 3 of them had become engaged in a fight with the fallen sorcerer Sloan. I rushed to his aid.

I assaulted the first Wyvern from behind and was able to take it down with a lucky swipe of my hammer. The other one wheeled around to face me whilst the other went to finish of Sloan. I knew I did not have much time to kill this Wyvern before Sloan was killed.

I attacked aggressively ducking under its slashing talons and punching it square in the chest. This send it skidding back however its tail whipped around sending me spinning. I regained my footing and hit out with my hammer smashing its tail and put my full force into a uppercut which connected with the Wyverns head. Snapping it. I pulled back from the falling body and moved to assist Sloan.

Too my surprise I was not required as the normally useless sorcerer had managed to destroy his Wyvern by somehow creating a temporary worm hole in the space time continuum. Frankly I didn't care.''

Thus ends Dur's recollection of the tale of the Whitescar Wyvern attack. The nights importance were not truly realised until many years later when Sloan went on to be the first wizard to master time travel.
