My name is Godo Shaggins. I am a Hobbit from a place far from The Ridge. I was imprisoned in my homeland for too many accounts of petty thievery. I was taught there by my foreign cellmate, Xingalio, the ways of a culture he was home to; the Zanshi. Zanshi, was his culture's language for 'Temporary'. He preached to me the meaninglessness of our incarceration and the overall small effect it would have on our lives as a whole. We endured our time through meditation and traded stories of adventures. Three days in advance of my time for release, Xingalio fell to an unknown cause. His death really reverberated the idea of Zanshi within me. Temporary; as we all are. I also learned how wrong he was about the small effect my imprisonment would have on my life. It was everything. I left my homeland to escape the memories and wound up in the land of Midgard, where I met a man by the name of Gaiuspriest, who I am teaching the ways of Zanshi.
