We really need to continue to the next era. This one is dragging out

LDK

It is not BoD's fault for farming. It was the choice of the other Kingdoms as a collective whole to let them farm. 

Well as another era on valhalla comes to a  end  another empire conquers all and  rises to the top , well done BOD .  Just like Stormcloaks last era a well organised empire rose to the top , as for the 'farming flames' ehh every empire on every world has members that farm for later era mayhem ...BOD just did it better then the rest of us so well done and LS will see you again (hopefully) on the battlefield !

To be fair, BoD NAP'd TCT before OOP. 

If a Kingdom is left alone, it will farm or conquer cities. 

Not everything is true... :P Depends of what we talking, if you talking about honor you not have it. Well, this is not strategy or tactic to farm, you just was in good place that it...you decide to have easy game than play harder but more intresting game.. That why we not nap Storms from start, and just because we didn't you guys win, because you attack weaker opponent, so this is strategy?

Same like you see few guys in street fighting, and then you 10 guys come and kick all asses, well same thing :) so i not see here any strategy...strategy is when legacy enable to kill everybody around them and win era, or survive, but they not farming... :) you guys did.

what about Call of  duty is different thing, there is shooting game, you need to def, or take a point, there is nothing like farming , you need to find good place to kill people if you def, and good plan how take them down if you attack...simple.. :)

I am not saying you are bad players, i just don't like farming strategy, because this is not strategy...And i am not saying we are best, we did some mistakes, but in any case you was over powerfull :)

Come on guys give credit where credit is due ,  the posts hear are starting to sound like sore grapes from players who i thought where better then that . Whether you like the 'farming strategy'or not is up to the individual or sometimes where you get dropped .

And we had no plans on farming, after winning the last era we had assumed that many other kingdoms would come and try to take us out early. so we built blockers and trained defense. we were ready, yet noone came. so 2 of us went and took out Lusitanos. then we headed north. where LDK had wiped out SC, you should have had plenty of plunder and new cities to train troops with. and you all had your troops spread through out your core, Tranny had no problem with your blocker. looks like your kingdom could have used a little more strategy.


You joking? Storms not noob kingdom, we had hard fight with them and they kill 3 of our players who restart...other of us lost a lot of troops..when you was heading our way, we was still in war against LS, and when you reach our north east blockers we had no troops there, what strategy we can use if we had no troops??? you are crazy...

Ok, so I typed most of this offline. Sorry that it doesn't directly address everything new and is so lenghty, but I think it covers it well enough despite me being so wordy. Also, thank you Prince Erythnul for your kind words. I have always found you to be a very honorable and worthy player.

(Part 1) -----------------------------------

Okay, so we can kill the farming bul1s*t and any other conjectures, here is how the era has gone for BoD.

 At the start of the era, we only had 4 (Twister, Conch, Jumentous, and I) out of the 8 BoD members active. Thankfully, just before the era start we got two applications. The first was our era long NAP partner from the previous era Blagorapo (Booboo). The second was Avendesora a friend of Twister (Ofofofofof).  During the first week, we went on to kick all 4 of the inactive original BoD members.

 From even before the first tick, the active 4 of us feared that we would find ourselves as the target of a multi-NAP take down and made detailed plans to have all of blockers in place, built out, and properly manned.   That is why out of three separate landing points; we decided to go with the place that Booboo landed as it provided some open space for establishing a proper core.  The bad of this was that the other two landed players had to move some pretty far distances to get there and potentially lose the first few turns of the new era. Thankful thanks to careful routing by both of them, all three were in place just in time with me dropping the very first tick of the era.

 During this same time period, we found that LDK was targeting Lost Souls and Stromcloaks north of us, and that they were going to fight LDK. It was at this time that Twister and I decided that we should have a single NAP partner and at Twister's request formed a NAP with his friends in The Craziest Thing.

 From there, by something like day two or three into the era, we found The Craziest Thing, Hydrogen Dioxide, Lusitanos, and some independents surrounding our southern and eastern borders.  Having only a couple of blockers in place against these guys with more being needed, Booboo and I decided we would go hard after the two vets that make Lusitanos (1 halfer and 1 orc against 1 halfer and 1 orc) as we knew exactly how dangers they can be. (As an aside, I credit Shpedro with having taught me several of the finer points of playing well.) At the same time Twister and Avendesora were going to go after Hydrogen Dioxide and Bran Bran (Jumentous) was set to take out the independent known as Guide as several us had seen him farm up in previous era’s and then tear the crap out of other kingdoms. Due to Harvgoz needing to finish the three blockers that he agreed to build, he was the only member of the kingdom left focusing on building his economy.

 Around this time, we picked up two more members to fill some of our vacancies, Tranny and Sladen. While I have no idea what Tranny was doing before he joined BoD, his first question immediately after joining was who he could fight and assigned him to work with Twister and Avendesora fighting Hydrogen Dioxide as I knew these guys were super resilient. For Sladen, as he had recently dropped, he was supposed to focus 60/40 on building cities and training troops during his protection so he could come OOP and be an immediate asset. Unfortunately, shortly after getting two good size cities built and just barely starting two new ones, he went completely inactive and around the 14^th day kicked and eaten. To our horror, we found that his cities had no farms, almost no wood, and zeroed out production, morale, and peasants; although he did have 35 Mil in gold thankfully.

 Now back to what matters, unfortunately along with Sladen both Avendesora and Harvgoz also disappeared for a good week. Due to the fact that we still had two open slots and no applications, I didn’t dare kick anyone the moment that they hit the 4 days inactive that is one of the lower world rules of BoD. Thankfully Hargoz returned and was able to resume building out his blockers. On the other hand we found out that Avendesora had lost internet connectivity and was having troubling getting it fixed. Thankfully around the twelve day, he was finally able to return.

 Despite all of the troubles that we were experiencing due to inactivity, things were actually going pretty well. At first Booboo and I were being held back by Lusitanos, but we eventually pushed our way through with Booboo taking a string of their blockers while I flanked them. Coming in from the side, I quickly took most of Shpedro cities despite Elite continual providing assistance. Elite then did an amazing job holding the two of us at bay for a day or so until our spam was simply too much for him to handle and he burned his core personal core leaving us with nothing but a couple of GT cities that he held us at. During this same time Bran Bran successfully defeated Guide. While I am uncertain how big a part that they played in the war against H2O2, due TCT bull dogging them, around this same time Twister and Tranny showed in the south trying to finish them.  But due to the loss of most of their cities, H2O2 was way too small to loot much less fight and far too smart to break that line.

 With no one else left to fight, we found ourselves at a crossroads. We could A.) farm our butts off and most likely ensure that no one could touch us come mid and late era. Or we could B.) move every army we have north and jump into the middle of the LDK, LS, and SC war with a serious possibility that we could lose. In a unanimous vote based on pure battle lust and the need for loot, we sent everything we had north. Because while I cannot speak for everyone, I know for fact that both Ofofofofof and Tranny were living strictly off loot with troop costs that far exceed their income and that even including my captured cities, I only had an income of 900k, with around 200k in troop costs and nearly 100K in building costs thanks to absurd numbers of GTs. In fact, had it not been for the 30K gold and 20K stone loot that I got from Shpedro, after the losses that Elite inflicted; I would have been attacking the north with 1/3 of the troops.

 Planning our attack routes, Booboo and I were going to take the southwest route and either bypass or attack LS depending on their reactions, while Bran and Ofofofofof hit SC from the south and Tranny hit LDK from the east. However, that got changed when while in march there, SC contacted me asking for a respite as they were effectively defeated LDK. Having a very high opinion of Timur and his SC crew and being presented with an objective based NAP, I happily brought it the kingdom and with plenty of support agreed. The terms of the NAP were simple, we would allow SC to rebuild without interference and hopefully re-enter the war with LDK to reclaim some of their lost cities. However, the moment that both LDK was no longer a threat and SC was the second strongest kingdom, the NAP would end with a CF followed by war.

 Finding that our objectives had changed and only some of the 32 tick journey to the north was complete, I reassigned the objectives with Bran Bran and Ofofofofof hitting LDK from the south and Tranny from the east. However, due to some communication failures, all three ended up coming from the south.

 During the long and boring march north, I spammed some gaia in my northern most city along with a few nazzie and picked a spot to build a northern armory. In a similar manner, Bran did the same. The others, due to deficit spending had to simply wait for their troops to arrive.  Being the tip of the sword, I went after LDK immediately and snagged a nice city, but quickly lost it.

 Right about this time, Lord Dacarta, another player that I have a high opinion of and know to be honorable, messaged me stating that they would like a NAP as they could not rebuild with us waiting to attack the moment they accidently exceed the protection limit. Brining this purposely to the kingdom, we once again happily agreed as it was an objective based NAP similar to the one with SC. While I know some people might want to scream NAP Whore at this point, please note that in both cases I effectively exchanged a short term CF for a late era enemy. While I like to think some people would be commend me for it, I also know an equal number would question my sanity as there was potential for either of them to turn the tables and wipe the floor with us.

Vytautas Didysis i don't think in any of my posts i said i didn't like you or LDK (if i did that was not my intention) , you have always been a hard , honorable empire to war and i look foward to seeing the red of LDK every era . I just don't agree with what you have been posting in here after this era . Having said that you are also allowed your opinion whether i agree or not .
