Hey Churros, I'd like you to re-examine your math there...while it may take 12 members of MAD to be 5x as powerful as Daffodils, there are only technically 6x as many players....thus, if you think of power as being on a geometric progression as opposed to a linear/arithmetic progression (which is probably more often the case, more people means more power but also more complexity and therefore usually reduced efficiency), MAD is for all intensive purposes ahead of the curve.

Not trying to pick sides of course, just pointing out a small inconsistency in your math :)

Good analysis, Zephyr. As you say, numbers give power above the individual's skill and the effect of increased power certainly isn't linear. Except that kind of makes my initial point for me - weight of numbers eventually counts more than individual ability ;)

As for the Americans, that was a bit of an unfair analogy. After all, anyone who brought us Motown, the Beach Boys and Chevy small block V8s can't be all bad :)

We are only here either to test something or kill the time until next age. Then most will be back in RoC again.

Personally I'm testing how it is to be halfling - mostly because halflings have spanked me the latest 1½ age....... and though I'm not nearly a vet, I do say I have some experience in this game.

And a special thanks to Barny for his post about how to find treassures - including that "between the lines" what to do before sending armies out for that purpose.

It's Presidential Election now here in the Philippines and have might everyone got to their own precints in their provinces to vote. So don't expect some challenge against us.
