Fantasia Age 5
19:05:21 Feb 4th 11 - Mr. Panic X:

we should stop saying Zeta should do this, and Zeta should do that...

he's not doing anything, he lost interest in us because what was first a hobby for him became a business venture... which then became a failed business venture.

We should be thankful he created auto-pilot mode so we can enjoy a slow death (until he doesn't feel like paying for the server and domain)

19:13:58 Feb 4th 11 - Mr. Weston:

Or the players could pool their money and buy the game from him. I'm sure there are enough guys here who would be willing to make a contribution. I know I would be willing.

19:45:12 Feb 4th 11 - Mr. Panic X:

thats an interesting thought that I hadn't considered, i wouldn't want to be the admin b/c i'm not too keen on how to run a website or a game but i'd also be willing to donate to the 'buy VU' fund and help out as an advisor!

19:50:28 Feb 4th 11 - Puppy Bunny Guard:

You'd need someone with programming skill and who would pay attention to game balance over their own interests, or else the game would be worse off than it is now, believe it or not.

The second part would be hard to find and even harder to prove that any changes they made were for game balance.

21:10:39 Feb 4th 11 - Mr. Barny:

In the game's prime, I remember a Legacy guy asking to buy the game from Zeta, and Zeta had asked for a ridiculous amount of money; tens of thousands of dollars.

The last time I asked him myself was a year ago and I haven't recieved a response, despite recieving replies to other issues.

21:24:00 Feb 4th 11 - Ms. Tress Mayhem:

Barny is a bully :p

ok, just mean.. it finally found a treasure and now you're going to spank it :p

11:58:18 - The progress of Pink Bits VII has been hindered by magic!
11:00:21 - Our adventurers found a very unusual crop! It increased our farming science.

21:59:58 Feb 4th 11 - Mr. Spook:

Barny you want to ask him again? I think at this point he would be more willing to sell the game at a cheaper price. And the players left may just be desparate enough to be willing to pool money and buy it.

If the game was bought by the players, there would have to be checks, like a vote on all changes to prevent someone from cheating their way to victory. But that's something we can worry about later.

22:11:21 Feb 4th 11 - Mr. Alexander The Great:

I would be willing to contribute to buying this game, though if it is thousands of dollars, I don't have that kind of money to be giving away.

Though let me put in a question, lets assume Zeta gave us an offer of 1000 dollars to buy the game. Would this one person with great IT skills become the "owner" of the game or would it become a community run game, with decisions made by us all. Because surely if it were to be owned by one person he/she could just pull in their shares of the website and sell it off??

23:18:47 Feb 4th 11 - Mr. Caocao:

I think it would depend on how many people help out in buying the game, and how many people are willing to work to keep it up and running.

But its a great idea, if Zeta is never coming back.

Money isn't an big for me, I have a lot of money and a lot time. This game applies to such a niche crowd that buying it would never be a good investment anyways, but I don't see buying the game as being an investment.

I am 23 years old. I found this game during Era 16, right now it's Era 52 or something. I don't know how long I have been playing this game, but I know that I have been playing it for most of my adult life. I will probably never quit this game and I certainly don't want to see it die, but right now it's headed down that road.

Right now I have a high amount of wealth and a high income as well, much higher then it was a few years ago. The Visual Utopia website is estimated to be worth just a few hundred dollars, it varies depending on what source you use. I would obviously be willing to pay a lot more then that, but I would not be willing to pay a ridiculous amount of money like $50k+.

I have minimal programing experience or knowledge related to programming, but I am willing to hire someone who can do what needs to be done if I were ever to buy this game. That said, I can still look at some lines of code and understand what is going on. Hell, if I didn't I wouldn't be able to identify 1/2 of the cool shit that removed or just never actually added to the game!

Anyways, I probably won't be playing next era and maybe even the era after that; business and health issues have been extremely time consuming lately. They won't be that way forever, and like I said, I will probably never quit this game.

06:29:20 Feb 6th 11 - Ms. Madame Curie:

We've already tried buying it off him... as far as I remember he asked $200K+ O.o

07:02:32 Feb 6th 11 - General Who:

About 7 months ago he asked 100k USD

16:21:47 Feb 6th 11 - Mr. Caocao:

I've been gone for a while, how long has he had the game on autopilot? Has anyone asked him since then?

16:29:56 Feb 6th 11 - General Who:

i talk with him about it every other day or so

I am also 23 and found the game in era 2 thus your a noob. however i would pay 1k for the game as someone said just to rename the eras Era of Osiris 1-60 or whatever :P well maybe i wouldnt as im not really playing so maybe ill just go get a new car or get a deposit for a house or flat O.o. Then i can make an Osiris hareem starring slave lew and many more! Ill charge £5 an hour for a big bro style hareem

17:11:02 Feb 7th 11 - Mr. Soda Popinski:

Osiris and Barny, both of you are noobs.

Im 31 yrs old and I found this game in era 1.  I dont see the logic in that though.  lol

15:37:57 Feb 8th 11 - Mr. Crom:

beep beeep beep you all stink !

16:13:58 Feb 8th 11 - Mr. Barny:

I was just trying to get the point across that this game is more a part of my life then any other game I play or have played.

Even at that, 100k USD is far more then I am willing to pay just to see it stay alive.

16:17:09 Feb 8th 11 - Puppy Bunny Guard:

At that price, you may as well hire people to make a game like this from scratch. lol.....

16:17:41 Feb 8th 11 - Mr. Legend:

beep beeep beep Take a shower.

Barny just buy it :p

00:04:32 Feb 9th 11 - Ms. Tress Mayhem:

@ 100K I'd be wanting to see the books on whether or not it was generating any income :p

02:31:43 Feb 9th 11 - Mr. Soda Popinski:

If you're going to buy this game at least put it in facebook.  It's where the money is.

I seriously think this game would be a hit on facebook.

05:18:21 Feb 9th 11 - Mr. Caocao:

Haha soda is right, I feel like the game would get ruined though.

06:06:24 Feb 9th 11 - Mr. Soda Popinski:

are you getting homo on me cocoa?

17:17:50 Feb 9th 11 - Mr. Caocao:

Should've posted on a different character's name, that way it wouldn't have looked like I was complimenting the enemy

08:26:59 Feb 10th 11 - Mr. Barny:

Well guys, that was a pretty fun era. I won't be playing next era on any world due to being too busy with real life stuff, but good luck in the future!

08:42:05 Feb 10th 11 - Ms. Iva Ego:
