Err, I don't often do this, but I thought a few of you out there in VU land might enjoy it - and Ms L, you could maybe take warning from it.  You really don't need players who lose interest this easy.  They'll run away whenever it doesn't go their way.

As for your comments, Wolf:  Yes, you can rebuild the homes BUT you have to divert an army to take the city, you then have to wait for all the wreckages to clear, wait for the houses to rebuild (and spend money on that which you might want to use for troops to attack us with), then you have to wait for the peasants to come and fill the houses before you get any useful production back.  Hardly "In a flash" as you put it but definately a "useful tactic" as I put it. 

I also get a nice cut of your resources every time I attack with which to train troops to do it again.

Oh, but you missed one key part in what I was doing - hope my slave is happy working for you ;)

Err, that's a very useful tactic against a stronger enemy. We didn't start this fight, Diadochi did as we came out of protection when you guys were about 4x as strong as us. Were we expected to roll over and let you win? ;) D

No, it's not, actually. What this proves is that you're not playing to win the war, you're playing to ruin the game. I can rebuild those homes, sure, in a flash. I have more than enough money. But why bother? Why bother to rebuild homes when the opponent your facing is the equivalant of a suicide bomber? In short, you guys suck. You're just trying to take the fun out of the game. Well, go ahead. I'm not dealing with it, so if you were just doing this to ruin someone elses game, go ahead. For the record, I wasn't one of them that attacked. I sent a troop of, what, 600 men up? Because we were told to attack. They died. Eventually I got tired of the harassment my cities have been getting and decided to retaliate. YOU picked a fight with ME. Don't give me that diadochi bull*beep*.

now now pastry...i understand the frustration of losing one of the last? armies u got but after u're over with the histerical crisis i think u can layoff this radical thinking and judge this on "cold"minded...

teh thing is that i dont see u even replyed to falazar's proposal except for that "Not sure yet, just got orders to go wander.." well with that scope in mind the this situation was like having a suicidal terorist who wanders around searching a potential victim and everione hopes he's not the victim:P

well it prolly was a misunderstanding but in the situation it happened it's an exageration trying to trow mud at abydos cose: before we were at war, you had an army sent against us then from what u say you changed course but u werent heading away from the Abydos territory but heading north towards Elite's cities and that's why u were probably attacked...

probably it was a misunderstanding and falazar didnt had the time to tell this to elite but cmon we have more urgent problems and it wasnt like we had a nap with PKS or a common plan or something like that..it was only a personal ad-hoc decission and in the given situation it was a mistake from your part to not PM ellite or a leader and tell him that u talked with falazar and u're headding away without any aggresive intention..

If u would''ve sent such msg to elite and u would've been attacked afterwards then i would understand you posting in this forum but in these circumstances i thend to think that your only scope was trying to throw mud at Abydos and this probably at someoneelse's indication...so chill down boy!

well u just reinforced my statement...it was YOUR mistake to not PM a player you went near his cities in the condition in wich we were at war and we prolly still were?(i wasnt around when the PKS war ws fought)

Mmac, I agree that Falazar wouldn't do it deliberately.  But it wasn't to where "he thought" Legacy cities were.  My course was already PAST the nearest Abydos town, it was about 2 ticks from a Legacy town that it was clearly headed to, and he turned round to hit me.  No "accident" or "misunderstanding" that I can see there - it was a direct act o*beep*gression when I was showing none, after one of their respected players had said, quote, "that war is over".

So, it comes back to not being able to trust what Abydos say, unless it's witnessed by 3 independent witnesses and signed by a High Court Judge.  Since it's t'internet & that's not possible, my original question is answered  - Option 1, Abydos can't be trusted ;)

edited to add: see, got a teenager here who spends her whole time finding "reasons" why what she did was "a mistake", "a misunderstanding" or "not like that".  Can't be arrsed with more of the same when I'm in relax mode :P
