04:56:14 Oct 14th 07 - Sir Fizban: What a freakin' joke. I didn't want to see Al Gore win based on something that isn't scientifically sound and I'm from his 'home state' of TN. Then again, we didn't want him for Preseident either. Anyways, I would've rather had Rush Limbaugh take the peace prize than Gore.
12:32:05 Oct 14th 07 - Mr. Mushashi: odd, indeed ... dunno if it is really bad, but yes, it seems debatable. he didn't get it just because of his environmental speeches, he's also pro some global redistribution of 'wealth'. i think the idea, why they gave him the prize, is that his 'movement' 'claims'(?) to want to make the world a better place. i have no idea about who is 'right' in this ... fizban, didn't that election end in a rather farcelike episode in your history? (again, a lot of discussion exists on that topic ... impossible for me to see what is true, but wasn't it like 50-50)

16:27:55 Oct 14th 07 - Mr. Mushashi: granted, there are misrepresentations in what he says, but completely false? and most of the professional world? ... i think not. he's to onesided, yes, he 'forgets' to mention what doesn't fit in his 'discours'. (or exagerates) the issue isn't really 'black and white', scientists can figure out what is going on, so, what he did was make the discussion global (the way he does that is indeed debatable, i won't argue about that) (and ofcourse, the message he brings is not really beneficial to some people)

17:13:32 Oct 14th 07 - Mr. Asystole: In 1938, so was Stalin in 1939 and 1942. But Time's criterion isn't the same as the Nobel Prize. It's a stretch to say that environmentalism has a lot to do with peace. You could make an argument around depleting resources causing war in the future and such...but countries have always fought over scarce resources.
17:57:56 Oct 14th 07 - Mr. Sigheart: @Mushashi First of all I meant there's not enough variables in his everyone get together, he hasn't even done anything to make his idea's I've got the some peace idea's to but you don't see me getting a Nobel Peace Prize. You have to actually do something and second Al Gore's form of Global Warming is one of the biggest lie's/misconception in the 21st century. His movie An Inconvient Truth was full of lies and is one of the least scientific movies I've ever seen. Not only that but Al Gore says Global Warming is man made, not true 95% is natural. His idea's are unstable at best and everything that's true was taken from things that are facts you don't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.
18:34:43 Oct 14th 07 - Mr. Mushashi: :-) that's more or less my view aswell sigheart, but saying he's all bad and wrong is not right either ... give him some credit for starting the debate/discussion. create some awareness. his efforts also help to stimulate new productionprocesses, thinking about the future, etc. (just at my work, we can do more and better things now, just because the politicians listen a bit more ...) people always fear change, the exageration helps a bit (although it is also contraproductive)("you ask more, because you know you won't get everything you want...") and true ... he doesn't really give a solution ... but if we are all concious about what effect our actions might have, maybe we'll think twice about things? maybe it will be easier to get things done? (is it just marketing his idea? or is it political? i can't tell)(i have my doubts aswell, like i said, it is not black and white ... those who oppose him also give false facts, they also use only what is 'convenient' for them)

11:55:37 Oct 20th 07 - Mr. Dragonfly: i mean think about it if underdeveloped countries cant grow like the west did, There wont be a shift in power so there will be no power strugle wich will result that there will be No WAR's only puny upriseings wich will be supressed by their dictators as is proper. Wich is considered peace and no big deal :D. Evil has no face Even the most seemingly noble couse can be abbused to do the worst things.
