Bush hasn't used any foul play to get into office. The supreme court justices who decided Bush would be president were nominated by the democratic president Clinton, so if anything Gore had the advantage on that one.

Arthion, in my previous post I used the word "foul play" in mainly two meanings: 1) in general, 2) the US hawkish magnates (to whom Eisenhower referred as the Military Industrial Complex) who I believe most probably were behind the J.F.K. murder for example.

G.W.Bush may have been fairly elected and there seems not be much foul play in him rising to presidency. The M.I.C. doesn't need to do anything when things go their way regardless. However some of them might intervene, if the people elected a president who opposes war. When USA is not involved in any wars, the M.I.C. can literally lose trillions compared to when USA is waging wars.

Of course you don't have to necessarily kill the president. You can try to bend him otherwise or somehow attack his credibility (scandals) and make him stand down. However, more aggressive military minds within the M.I.C. might under some circumstances be tempted to conspire to a political murder.

Would you kill a single man, if he stood between you and a war bill of trillions of dollars to your companies?

A president who opposes war is the worst nightmare of many M.I.C. business leaders and owners.

It is good that we can actually have these discussions.  Sure they are rather immature, but still...it shows that there is some freedom left in these corrupt countries.

I would say that Ulyssis S. Grant still holds as one of the worst U.S. presidents... not really for anything he did that was like Bush.  But because he allowed so much corruption within his own office.  Like so many presidents of the modern age and former ages, he allowed his friends into positions of power.   And they abused that power something aweful.

For his part, Grant was a good man...he just really did not know how to deal with the position of politics as he found it.  War was much easier back then.  Enemies went around mostly in uniform...and they fought you.  Those days are gone now.
