If the maps don't match up and you suddenly end up in the middle of the forest, it would lead to like 100 complaints about how it was a stupid idea.

I like 1, 2, 5, 6, 7

With #3 Desert map for the Fantasia map, this way there won't be "stuck" issues. I hope.

What about putting some of the other maps on the unattached worlds to test them out.

Desert II is too unbalanced in my opinion. Mountains on one side and forest on the other.

Edit - I wouldn't mind some of the unused worlds on the lower worlds. I was thinking of settling down on an unattached world to farm.

Charley, all of the maps have a border around the edges with no resources/obstacles except Lathan's. They'd all go well together except his :)
I vote a mix of 1 - 6 with 3 being used only for Fant

2 - water only on south, not balanced
3 - big fail
4 - also unbalanced too much (people in east no mining bonus)
5 - looks nice, would be a good one
6 - also a good one, thumbs up
7 - we need change from the standard map

7. Lathan's map

Best balance of resources. In the other maps you will probably land in a territory what doesn't have all the needed resources. New players will be crippled and won't even really get to play the game as there won't be no way for them to reach the resource their missing as the powerful kingdoms will have taken over those resources. 7 is the most new player friendly map.

2, 5, and 6 have some areas where you could get stuck if you were unlucky, but yeah, I guess most work better.

I like the maps that r unbalanced ad certain kds have controll over a resource n so it is more rewarding in the end when they r defeated.
