Well your right and your wrong.
Since this millennium the black plague have been proven to be several different diseases as well.
The copied section from wikipedia is explanation on what the plague are.

And the many outbreaks that been said to be the black plague have lately been proven to be different type of plague by examination of skeletons in graves and by examinations of the area and climate at the time of the outbreak.
So whats used to be called black death is in fact also several different diseases collected under one name just as plague.

But Brash, the Black Plague is talking about the time period in which those many different illnesses (which you have just informaned me about) happened. It is not refering to a specific illness. It's kind of like the difference between World War I and World War II. They were both all across the world but they are different wars. Or like two different hurricanes (atleast i nthe US idk if they name them elsewhere) they are both catagorized as a hurricane but are two different ones. There was the Plague of Athens and the Black Plague, they are both plagues but they were at two different times and therefore have two different names.

And jsut a thing you might argue back with. You could say they were the same plague and to that i would say that the black plague was several different illnesses, and in your definition of plague it is jsut an epidemic not a specific epidemic

lol.  I find it humorous how the original poster talks about americans being stupid and then cant even figure out that the Black Death/Black Plague was just one pandemic episode of many. = I never said that americans are stupid.
