Server Limbo
17:45:40 Aug 21st 14 - ZeTa (VU Admin):

We will soon hard reboot the server. It might corrupt some data. 

One of the other network cards on the server seems to have gone nuts, so I attempted to disable it. And when that didn't work I tried to restart the server. But that only worked half way, so half of the processes shut down and we have no way of accessing the server.

The server has now been rebooted.

It seems we still have some problems with the server. I am troubleshooting ...

The server had hung. I'm thinking maybe memory error.


21:42:56 Aug 30th 14 - ZeTa (VU Admin):

Dimm with ECC errors have been removed. But we are still having problems. Mostly with the network cards ...
