Categorically I think dwarves are slightly more protected then other races at big armies and magic 4. I think in terms of casting as a mage it is almost impossible to cast on a dwarf horde, in terms of freeze etc. But to put in comparison big trolls armies, human, and orc armies are much easier to cast on. Basically you cannot cast big spells on 300-400k mages in a dwarf horde. To put in context it is just as hard to cast on a 300-400k mages in a halfing army with magic 6. The only thing harder to cast on is a huge archmage army with the same amount of mages. Other races in general dont have armies as big. I think that is the bonus we are talking about, beyond that I dont think it exists from experience.
