In no particular order except alphabetical mine would be:

Aligreat, Brannigans Law, and Elsin.

I would be bringing back the 2 best players along with the one with the best sense of humor.

As someone from that bygone era I am much worse than You, PDC, and Cyrus, Aloysius, and other Greats of our current era.

Give Binh one era to catchup on new mechanics and he would win for sure even with a fulltime job.

Venomz sure did a blast from the past though, and it was quite fun to watch; he would be on my list replacing Sparker otherwise.

A few "honorable mentions" would be BTK, Draiken, Elsin, Adelbert, Nova, Bog, Peng, Ruthless, and Finwe.

At the end of the era, skill isn't enough to be a "one man army" - unfortunately it takes pretty strong activity as well. I think that despite how low VU player base has fallen, it still shows that the quality of gameplay is still there, as it still takes quite a bit of activity to really roll over anyone.

All of that said, would be really cool to see "All Stars" from different times of VU. Take the top ten, highest activity possible, and let the millions and millions of kills commence.

Agreed, its crazy how far back spending 24 hours in the ER for mania can set you in a game like VU. Thats how you know no doctors play this game. Makes you feel bad for guys like Zetamania who obviously experience mania and make a mania-inducing game.

Also makes you respect the best player of all time, Binh, much more because he was a busy Lawyer (sorry for DOX)

And that Frederick & Fordius teached me the game.

But it was really long ago. So I'm new but not entirely new.

Depends on how you look at it. Cause the game was totally different back than compared to now.

I can honestly say I'm unsure how Ford could be considered one of the best, he was a good player but I never looked at him and said wow.

Back in the days , he could easily fight off entire kingdoms on his own.

He also had pretty awesome strategies.

I think him and binh once teamed up and pretty much dominated the entire map.

Thought Fordius even hold up an entire Carnage army.

That was prolly last era I've played this game.

At max Ive only played around 4 maybe 5 era's totally.

I think you really underestimate how good Fordius was, also he tought alot of people the game. Including me, I think Venomz was also a pupil in his kingdom back than, atleast he was a new player like me than and we're both were in his kingdom.

I mainly know Fordius especially from Utopia, he was our king there for a long time aswell. But haven't seen him for a very long time now.

I think you really doing Fordius to short.

You just admitted you've played maybe 4-5 eras. I knew Ford and I've played with and against him, he was a great character, really really good player. He couldn't touch binh at his finest.

I spoke to Ford every day, if I thought he was one of the best I would say it, he was great, he just wasn't one if the greatest.

I have 0 memory of looking at ford's actions and thinking damn this dude is levels above everyone

I remember old fordy.. back when I was a nub in RVL.. yeah he was alright but as I loved to strategise. I remember telling them a plan to invade a kid and it getting knocked back cause I was a nub and didn’t know what I was on about.. only to see fordius bring up practically the exact same plan I said a day before the very next day..

I also remember we got kicked out of i think starta or something I was the first to leave told them I was gonna build a blocker in a certain spot.. he said no I did it anyway and it became a crucial blocker that got us back and we won.. anyway that’s my impression of him lol

Some players back then were were good at the core mechanics, others were good at the meta and others were good at the diplomacy. It was never a one play style that won out with how all the kingdoms played against each other.

Ford was a mixture of all three, that's why he was good, master of none but jack of all trades.
