09:06:00 Jul 22nd 09 - Mr. Flamez: What is a good MU to MT ratio? ive tried, but i cant figure 1 out.
09:10:38 Jul 22nd 09 - Mr. Trau Nibiru: lots of both
09:13:55 Jul 22nd 09 - Mr. Flamez: You are completely hopeless, u know that? That was about the biggest waste of my life....
09:14:40 Jul 22nd 09 - Mr. Penor The Overwhelming: I think his 1st answer is right...
09:24:38 Jul 22nd 09 - Mr. Flamez: i know, but isnt their a set ratio, like 20 mts to 1 home?
| ||||
09:26:18 Jul 22nd 09 - Mr. Trau Nibiru: i'm an elf, trust me, i know my wizardry.
09:34:55 Jul 22nd 09 - Mr. Penor The Overwhelming: I don't think so... I'm not great with magic, but I got lvl 10...
22:14:46 Jul 22nd 09 - Wolflord Karac: Trau, MT range reaches a max. It does not keep growing exponentially. As for MUs they DO keep increasing power with numbers.
| ||||
22:18:25 Jul 22nd 09 - Sir Big Mac Attack: plus it depends on what you are doing...are you warring someone close? far?

Actually...the area the MTs cover IS a straight line, but is a function of area not length... so for example, 1k MTs will cover a certain area, 2k MTs will cover 2x the area, but that does NOT mean 2x the range
22:27:18 Jul 22nd 09 - Mr. Kobu: I think 35-40k towers will give you close to the max range. Thats when you city is located in centre of the world, you need 80k MT when your city is located at world border to cover whole world. And hey Bic Mac, can you explain this again, read it 3x and still don,t know what you mean. Actually...the area the MTs cover IS a straight line, but is a function of area not length... so for example, 1k MTs will cover a certain area, 2k MTs will cover 2x the area, but that does NOT mean 2x the range
22:35:52 Jul 22nd 09 - Sir Big Mac Attack: Mkay, what I mean is say, 1k MTs covers a 3 inch box with the city in the center:
22:36:52 Jul 22nd 09 - Sir Big Mac Attack: /me wanders off to find the guide where this was explained really well
01:47:29 Jul 23rd 09 - Demonslayer The Infidel Killing Kitten: Does this require a geometry class and knowing the area of a circle? Like...the area doubles, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can see twice as far?
01:50:05 Jul 23rd 09 - Sir Big And Tasty: ofc
02:53:54 Jul 23rd 09 - Mr. Penor The Overwhelming: I get it...
03:46:11 Jul 23rd 09 - Mr. Angel of Death: STOP THE TORTURE!!!!!
03:49:01 Jul 23rd 09 - Sir Big Mac Attack: Mr. Penor The Overwhelming
04:05:02 Jul 23rd 09 - Mr. Penor The Overwhelming: Its really not that bad... My Precalculus/Trigonometery that i'm doing right now is WAAAY worse... Can't wait till calculus lol
18:38:21 Aug 1st 09 - Ms. Auspice: To be picky, everything in VU is based on boxes not circles. You actually have more MT/army/etc range at a diagonal than in a straight line. Though Penor has the right idea - range increases linearly with MT, but area covered increases quadratically.
22:13:51 Aug 1st 09 - Sir Penor The Overwhelming: Since the map is square and not round, this seems understandable
00:12:45 Aug 3rd 09 - Ms. Auspice: Simplifies it a bit actually, doesnt it? The real question is though, what is the current formula to determine range? I doubt it's linear, always reached some diminishing returns at high numbers of MTs
