revolting
18:12:59 Sep 6th 11 - yorimm (Mr. Protest):

i have take over a city. it had really low moral. so it revolted. took it over again and it revolted again. now i have it yet again. but it has only 1% morale. is there something that can stop them form revolting again, other than casting happiness?

18:16:00 Sep 6th 11 - Mr. Snoopy:

Well, you can train all of the peasants into troops for a few ticks.

No pezz = no revolt

18:17:39 Sep 6th 11 - Princess Bloodrayne:

Admin explained the revolts recently, he said its:
Number of soldiers VS number of peasants (so does not matter what kind of soldiers)
Like snoopy said, just train peasants and it cant revolt :)

18:17:59 Sep 6th 11 - yorimm (Mr. Protest):

This city has 134484 peasants who are working as hard as they can.
i don't have enough gold for something like that.

18:19:05 Sep 6th 11 - yorimm (Mr. Protest):

@bloodrayne so if i put my troops in the city the revolt should stop?

18:26:08 Sep 6th 11 - Mr. Pluto:

Nah, just train ALL peasants for a few ticks into any type of troop. As long as you have peasants in your town, there's always that risk, so merely putting a few troops into your town is risky and may end up costing you said troops.

18:27:04 Sep 6th 11 - Princess Bloodrayne:

No, it will still revolt and you'll loose your troops too, dont house the troops.
Think of it this way, you have angry peasants who want to go to the previous owner
They will fight the armies that follow you, armies will always fight for you
So peasants will fight the soldiers, and since there are 134k peasants, they will win
You need to have 134k soldiers to prevent revolt...

Unless you can cast happyness, dont know what else you can do..

If you have magic in the area, try casting happiness on the city.

1) Read his post
2) Understand how happiness works
3) Note the morale he'd be starting from

:P

20:08:52 Sep 6th 11 - ZeTa (VU Admin):

If the city revolt  you will lose the troops living in the city. But if you have an army in the city it will not lose troops if the city revolt.

Armies in the city will also help against revolts. You will need 5+ troops (any level) /100 peasants to hinder a revolt.

20:12:35 Sep 6th 11 - Princess Bloodrayne:

While back when we asked Admin said its number vs number, never meantioned this 5 is enough to stop 100 :) good to know :)

Lol, I know the lower the morale the less of a boost you get from happiness at first, so sometimes it can take a fair amount  of casts, but I was just making a suggestion.  I myself no longer use happiness to stop revolts.  I either just train the pez, or burn the city lol.
