Getting tax
17:50:40 Sep 3rd 13 - Dark Spawn (Lord Dark Spawn):

What does this mean?

  • All employed peasants pay 1 gold in taxes each day.
As the population of the city grows, merchants and other wealthy people will move into the city and increase the tax revenue.

So peasants pay 1 gold in small towns, and when town gets bigger you get more gold per peasant, or how does that work?

18:56:37 Sep 3rd 13 - Mr. Salazar:

There are multiple city sizes in this game. Feel free to look them up in the Guides.

Here is what you need to know to answer your question:

Each city has a maximum number of homes you can build. Technically, you can build more, but any buildings that go past the 1:5 build ratio won't help you. Those are only good for storing troops. They might be good in increasing INITIAL pez growth, but i'm not completely sure.

As your city size changes, so will your opportunity to make gold. Instead of making 1 gold per peasant, larger cities will make 1 gold per peasant + more gold. I don't know how much more, since I've never cared to figure it out. However, i'm sure our community here might be able to share some information with us.

If you would like to examine each city size, there is a guide called -

All Your City Size Needs
Lord Argyle (sp?) posted the images for them, in case you wanted something to look at.

huh? pez only pay taxes if they are working. A human 200k full resource city should have 33,333 or so homes.

20:00:25 Sep 3rd 13 - Mr. Salazar:

^ exactly

20:14:35 Sep 3rd 13 - Mr. Edd:

nope not true when ur human. Trust me.

20:18:06 Sep 3rd 13 - Mr. Edd:

you only need like 25k mines not even mining science. You make the same income in the end but you can make a lot more troops with soo many homes. soooo 100k homes 25k mines 50k farm and then splurge on the last 50k. Like 7.5k armories and 5k taverns.2k gts or more if you want. lots of MT's and bamm you got like 2.5m income and a killer fortress. Oh i forgot lumbermills. make like 5k. then after your city is done you can wreck and make more mts or make 5k warehouses.

00:43:02 Sep 4th 13 - Jondy (Beast Lord Jangsta):

This thread is about tax. Why would anyone want to build a 200k your way when you can't even count properly?

100k homes 25k mines 50k farm and then splurge on the last 50k.

33,333 homes in a 200k will give you around 1.6 million in tax. That's just tax.

00:55:17 Sep 4th 13 - Mr. Edd:

oh yea was thinking about just making 25k farms but 50k is better so got confused. MY way because you can get mili or magic science first instead of getting mining at start. 2. Because more homes more pezzies 100% production so you can train fast. Add that with mobilize troop ability of humans and a huge reservoir of peasants and you got a mean killing factory machine. The end result of making 100k homes rather than the ratio is youll end up getting the same income either way. with mines or not. But having the massive pezzies have a much better use.I just thought i put my 2 cents out there. I have been playing human for a long time now and i just noticed no difference when i made mines instead of homes. In fact they hindered me soooooo yeaaaaaa.

01:48:32 Sep 4th 13 - Mr. Salazar:

Can we take the human discussion somewhere else?

02:21:33 Sep 4th 13 - Jack Daniels The drunk (Sir Crown Royal):

why humans have a 10% tax bonus would they not be the main topic of this discussion since they differ from the other races?

03:01:22 Sep 4th 13 - Mr. Edd:

he doesnt want me to give out the secrets!!!

03:04:38 Sep 4th 13 - Mr. Salazar:

Well, the topic is a question about getting tax whereas the conversation has transformed into a debate about human builds... but hey, I could be wrong.

03:11:53 Sep 4th 13 - Mr. Edd:

It's a bout the human tax advantage.

03:15:10 Sep 4th 13 - Mr. Salazar:

I just think a discussion on human tax would be better on a new forum is all. But i'm going to let it go now. This isn't helping either way.
