Need an Explanation

This is not a big deal, just never had this happen to me so want to know what could have caused this

This is a scout that got attacked, but this is what happened.

Note the city it retreated to, is my city and it never got attacked by anything so how do i lose the scout the next tick? LOL

01:25:55 Empire lost a battle against Wantsome from Mr. Abdulla Ulla Raaj. The army retreated to Ancient Gates. We lost 0 Hobgoblins, 0 Rockthrowers, 0 Warlords, 0 Mages and 0 Berserkers and 0 peasants in the battle and 0 of our soldiers got injured.

Did you put troops in city and forgot you put them there?

If you put all troops from army in city event goes that the army died and it really didnt die...
