1. Malaysian.

2. Not kid.    old man now - should be mid 30s.

3. Smart and active when playing strategy games.    smart at cheating - probably... he was part of Legacy after all.

4. I have met him before in real life.    ive met ian wright in real life - Did you have a cup (or several) of coffee with him and a chat for a few hours? Or were you just a 1 second glance?

5. You are not on his level.    only cheaters are on his level - Sure. That's why he led the predecessor incarnation of Legacy to 4 straight victories (only matched by Beothuk 4 straight undeniably legit wins BTW)

Sure. And I've eaten at Nobu, London with the owner of Wessex Water and his immediate family (including personal friends Ruth, Jacob and Joseph) and then stayed at their home in Kensington. Try harder.

00:00:39 Aug 25th 13 - Mr. Bad Bell Mate:

It went Zetas Zealots -> Mafia -> Paramount Warring Nobles of Time -> LGC -> [loads of shit incarnatons] -> Shit LGC [todays version]

As bolded, underlined and coloured in pink for your kind reference.

Rambo - Legacy for 4 eras - won 4 eras for them - Legacy = cheats?

17:53:22 Aug 30th 13 - Stirlin (Dark Prince Stirlin):

ive eaten dinner with the chesterfield team 3 times including premier league player jordan bowery

18:08:35 Aug 30th 13 - Mr. Fmworst:

I served the Cardiff City FC team (conquerors of Swifty's fantasy football team) dinner when I was working as a waiter at Bristol Marriott Hotel, but they didn't invite me to dine with them.

I was also asked if I wanted to meet the Chelsea team back in 2003 as those friends of mine had season box seat (VIP) tickets and their old man kinda knew Roman, but I decided bringing my (then new) girlfriend around London was more important. Plus I kinda threatened to wear my Man United jersey to the meet.

18:13:48 Aug 30th 13 - Stirlin (Dark Prince Stirlin):

i shouted obscenities at roy keane

18:20:10 Aug 30th 13 - Mr. Fmworst:

Me too. When I was at Old Trafford and he missed a sitter of a goal.

18:23:00 Aug 30th 13 - Stirlin (Dark Prince Stirlin):

oh dear, you live on the other side of the world and have seen more live games than swifty

18:25:58 Aug 30th 13 - Mr. Osiris:

Rambo was a cheat, we all knew he was a cheat it just took 4 eras for zeta to do something

19:16:51 Aug 30th 13 - Mr. Bad Bell Mate:

Cba reading the posts.

Rambo never led LGC. He was like Draiken, rarely communicated at all with his KD mates unless he needed to. It was typical of LGC to give the "best" players the "king" title, with the actual leadership duties being spread across the vices. So no, Rambo didn't lead.

Very good player. Hard to tell whether he cheated for all of his wins, or whether it was the latter one/'s. The majority [if not all?] of LGC were unaware of his exploits at the time [including myself, I remember finding out he had been banned and was clueless as to why]. We knew he was a good player so just assumed he was playing straight. Say I'm a liar, I don't care. The majority of us didn't know as Rambo rarely talked with us and certainly didn't spread his secrets [we never found out how exactly he managed to do what he did, for example].

From what I remember I was told  I think ZeTa offered him an ultimatum. I can't remember what it was, but I seem to recall if he accepted he would have been allowed to play on. He rejected it and accepted the ban as punishment.

The end.

Prime example. Binh. But Binh doesnt lead. We all know Wilber does all the planning and etc.

Also Rambo: Cheated, could move troops from one town to another from anywhere, also could prep towns form inside his town. and so on. If thats not cheating, idk what is.

19:47:50 Aug 30th 13 - Sir Aloysius:

it's not cheating... it's creative use of game mechanics.

19:57:25 Aug 30th 13 - Mr. Bad Bell Mate:

like MADs multies!

22:26:41 Aug 30th 13 - Tyr (Sir Tyrgalon):

No wonder he won eras if he could do what zond said XD

Hearsay.

1. Did you ever see him cheat? Or have you ever used the "cheat" that he used and confirm that it existed?

2. Out of the 4 eras he won, how many eras did he "cheat" in?

3. Were others also using the "cheat" therefore giving it some measure of "group legitimacy"?

4. Is it just sourgrapes and sore losers (like DLO) going about on a character assassination exercise since he (Rambo) is no longer here to defend himself (nor do I bet he cares... he has got more important stuff to do in his life)?

5. If he is a cheat, then what do we call all those who have used other questionable means of playing this game (e.g. babysitting, multiple accounts, multi-feeding, etc.)? Are they cheaters too? Or are there "different levels" of cheaters?

I am NOT trying to defend Rambo here of anything. From what I know of him (having played with him in old Utopia before), this is someone who WILL exploit a loophole or a gap in the system to the maximum if he finds it. But then, this applies to a lot of other people too (both VU players and regular folk alike). But unless someone with direct knowledge of what he (Rambo) has done comes out and describes the way(s) he cheated (and I presume that only Zeta and Rambo themselves can state anything conclusive and authoritative on this) then everything that he (Rambo) is accused of is nothing more then just empty words without substance.

If he really did cheat, then whatever, its a lesson we should learn, and ideally, his winnings (and his kingdom's too) should be expunged from the records (only legit kingdoms should win 4 straight eras in a row :P). But I do know that this game is full of sore losers and people with enormous egos who cannot take defeat lightly, so it is very easy to conjure or grossly exaggerate accusations against him when he is no longer around.

Until we get the actual truth for real, instead of hearing what someone A who heard it from someone B who heard it from someone C has to say, and we do not know how someone C knew about it or whether there are any embellishments to it, I would refrain from simply labeling anyone a cheater.

Zeta should make a statement here on what Rambo did to get banned to put matters to rest one and for all. The game only wants to to look up to kingdoms that are legit 4-peaters :D

08:28:18 Aug 31st 13 - Mr. Roxberry:

I don't know whether to laugh or to cry about this thread, you are literally having the same argument as 8 years ago.

11:47:54 Aug 31st 13 - Mr. Osiris:

Im not really sure what your point is TBL. He was caught cheating and zeta punished him for it why would i need to test the bug for myself?

If he is a cheat, then what do we call all those who have used other questionable means of playing this game (e.g. babysitting, multiple accounts, multi-feeding, etc.)? Are they cheaters too? Or are there "different levels" of cheaters? <--- yes they are cheats too :P

You can call me a sore loser if you wish it doesn't really bother me :P I've lost loads ive won some too, losing to a bug does kinda make you annoyed ^^

This isn't really an argument tho rox a guy asked about Rambo and we told him :P He was a great player who didn't need to cheat to win at least 2 of those eras but he did cheat and was caught and it tainted each of his wins. Not much to argue with <3

15:50:47 Aug 31st 13 - Binh (Mr. Booger):

I do know of a way to do what Rambo did (whether or not Rambo used this method is unknown). Though it isn't "free" and has been fixed already since I reported it. Long ago, you can set path to prep on a city, then casted invisibility on your army (It has been found and reported by someone (forgot who). The army will then stop moving and prep that town from where you're at. Many eras later, I found out that if you set path to your own or an ally's city, then cast invisibility on it, your army will stop moving turn invisible and on the next tick, it will magically teleport to that town.

Both these methods should no longer work any longer unless zeta screw up on the fixes somehow :)

16:43:13 Aug 31st 13 - Mr. Bad Bell Mate:

No, it isn't that method.

This was like 10 years ago when VU was even buggier than it was today. Back in the times when you could put negative numbers into the AH to get rich and shit like that. Zond is right, Rambo exploited loopholes that enabled him move armies to and from cities that could be on opposite sides of the map and attack with them. I doubt he used the cheat in all 4 eras as it only became "obvious" to the those who caught him in the 4th era, but nobody had suspected him of foul play [or noticed abnormal army movements] in the previous 3. He was, a I said, a good player. A good player who happened to get caught 1 era and had his reputation destroyed.

Too many nobodies commenting on the matter without knowing what happened anyway.

17:18:11 Aug 31st 13 - Zond (General Headache):

If you simply wish to know, message Zeta. Im sure he would comment.

17:36:36 Aug 31st 13 - Mr. Bad Bell Mate:

:DDDDDDDDDDDDD

17:46:38 Aug 31st 13 - Zond (The Bohning):

I didnt say in game, he replies to me on FB everytime i call him a piece of shit, nub, or say vu sucks. :P

Easy way to get him to reply!

17:50:30 Aug 31st 13 - Tyr (Mr. Tyrminator):

haha XD lol zondy surprised you havenīt been banned from VU then ;)

17:54:04 Aug 31st 13 - Zond (The Bohning):

That would be mod abuse.. oh wait. we all know how zeta feels about that ;)

you are right! (for once :P )

18:16:59 Aug 31st 13 - Tyr (Sir Tyrgalon):

Im always right you pastard :P

18:21:27 Aug 31st 13 - Mr. Osiris:

ye know nothing of being evil mod!Zeta used to speak on msn too :D

18:41:52 Aug 31st 13 - Mr. Fmworst:

Well, like I said above, I did not play when Rambo was playing, but I have played normal Utopia extensively with him, and I have met him too (more than once). And as I said (without commenting directly on whatever he did or did not do in VU), he is someone who will have NO HESITATION in abusing a loophole in the system. Simple as that. He believes if there is one, you make use of it until said loophole is closed, simply because if you don't, others will, and besides, abusing the loophole is the only way to remind the system makers to perfect their system properly or else there would be consequences. I do not personally agree that line of thinking, but whatever, if that's the way he is wired, I won't argue with it.

NOTWITHSTANDING his belief system..... as I have ALSO previously said, Rambo is DEFINITELY a SHARP COOKIE. A very capable person too.... at least, when I played with him in old Utopia. I have already told you one personal facet of his life.... this guy went to another country to study engineering in his FOURTH LANGUAGE. He has at least a substantial amount of grey matter in his head. I have no doubt that WITH or WITHOUT "CHEATING", he would have won the game (at least once), as he had all the skills, personality and intellect required to win it. Whether he would have been a multiple, back-to-back era winner with just plain, straightforward playing, we will never know, but he had everything in him to be an era winner.

This is precisely the same way I think about folks like Path, Binh, Ali, Mike, Dalak, Adakis, and several others. Almost everything needed to become a legitimate, fighting era winner - technical knowledge, strategic planning, tactical ability, sharp intellect, patient and decisive personality, etc. - they have (or most of these traits anyway). Whether they do decide to go all out to win (and not care solely about a team victory) is a different matter altogether.

And that's all I have to say about Rambo. Feel free to take my comments for what its worth.
