22:06:38 Mar 29th 08 - Mr. Demonsul: THE WAR OF THE BLAZING HILLS There was a land, known as the Blazing Hills. It was uninhabited, rocky, inhospitable, but there were huge deposits of valuable materials just waiting to be mined. Whoever controlled that land would become rich. Two great nations, the Alliance of the Shining Sun and the Order of the Golden Banner, arose, conquering many a land. Both sides became a powerful mix of all races. Then they both found the Blazing Hills. At the same time. Armies were sent. Two battle fortresses were constructed, one for each nation, on the outskirts of the Blazing Hills. The two nations became deadly enemies. It was the dead of night. Two lonely, battered soldiers were working their way across the craggy ground. One was an archer, the other a warrior. On their uniforms they bore golden squares of cloth, to show their correlation with the Order of the Golden Banner. They were heading back to their fortress after a failed skirmish. Suddenly, a magical explosion illuminated the sky. The two soldiers were discovered. Fearing a chase, they retreated faster to their fortress, but as the door closed after them, the armies of the Shining Sun arrived... (IS A GAME, signups not open yet)

12:43:30 Mar 30th 08 - Mr. Demonsul: OK, time to get this thing started, if you are all done yelling! There are two sides, the Alliance of the Shining Sun and the Order of the Golden Banner. Neither side is really the 'good' side and both are open for you to join. You can have any weapon you wish, magic, melee, ranged (within reason: no nukes, machine guns, super-magic, etc.) but NO GODMODDING OTHER PLAYERS!! Each side has a battle fortress (lit. a castle) that is built however that side chooses. If the a battle fortress is destroyed then the team that owns it loses. So, I guess that is it. The general idea is, the player with the worst mix of bad tactics and general lack of RP skill will be killed if they continue to be worst for a while. So, do your best! The equivalent of 2 suits of chainmail armour... Verthias Does not need to look at his enemies to kill them, they just fall over dead by themselves. Tehehehhehe. Although the spiked Spellbreaker shield and masterwork sabre he uses in close combat and the repeating crossbow he shoots with from afar certianly help, and his opponent's efforts are mitigated by his sloped splint mail. Minion 1 - Artanis, mage Attired as a shadow-mage usually is - light robes reinforced with spider's silk, capable of summoning rather more protective magical armour come the need, and wielding a voidstaff. Minion 2 - Tassadar, soldier Equipped simarily to his master. Sword, shield, mail, crossbow. Minion 3 - Jim Raynor, archer Carries a longbow, with which he is truly hax at using, and a couple of quivers, and a dirk. Form-fitting dragonscaled leather armour for protection. Minion 4 - Kerrigan, scout In tribute to Dark Messiah, two daggers, and a cluster of throwing stars. Chameleoflage battlecape and scaled breastplate. I note that you're chosen to not go for good and evil.. but instead made BOTH sides sound like the goodies. Why not 'Army of Illian' and 'Azerothian Expeditionary Force' or somesuch?

Minion 4 - Klarf, archer A troll, small by troll standards(7'8") One of the only troll archers, not skilled at aiming, but can make a heavy dent in a steel gate. 16:13:59 Apr 3rd 08 - Mr. Demonsul: Ok, that is everyone! Now, LET THE RP BEGIN! Starter Scenario (before free control): It is shortly before dawn. The Shining Sun elite squad (all players with all associated groups of four men) are at the Golden Banner gates. The Golden Banner have awakened their Elites (players and associated men), and have launched a counterattack on the Shining Sun army. Players to your armies! SHINING SUN MISSION: Do some damage to the Golden Banner fortress, and return with minimum losses. GOLDEN BANNER MISSION: Protect the fortress at all costs! Try to destroy as much of the Shining Sun army as you can. This is only a starter scenario before control of the war is given to the players. Don't expect an end here!
16:22:20 Apr 3rd 08 - Mr. Verthias XI: [Do we have an actual army, or just the four guys with us?] Verthias waved the other three men of his squad up with him, and they hunker down behind a slight rise. He peers up over the ridge, and watches Kerrigan at her bloody work on the field below. With the perimiter guards despatched, he ordered Jim Raynor and Artanis to stay back and provide covering fire when he gave the order. He and Tassadar moved fowards, silent as slightly clattering ghosts, and gave Kerrigan a boost up the wall, which she finished by seeking out the tinest handholds and clambering up the face of the structure, and snuck towards the sleeping quarters of the Golden Banner's fortress. She slit their throats one by one as they slept, and when detected, sprinted back to the battlement she'd climbed over, leaping into the soft desert sand below. When the guards tumbled out of the stairwell and hopped over the wall to follow her, Verthias and Tassadar rose out of the dunes, sand still coursing from their armour, and cut down the leading men. An archer appeared at the wall, and tumbled off with an arrow through his neck - and a fireball blasted apart another cluster trying to get into one of the wall towers. The battle had begun... [So, how many did I kill? I assume that you'll be telling us the efficacy of our attacks, and we just say what they are, Demonsul]

The shining sun have the same, but hey are still on their way, and there are not as many of them. as in killing the npcs, you kill as many as you want, there are always more, but I judge pvp. of course, unfair npc related massacres and impossible chances will be followed up with the death of one of your teammates] [death of a teammate is PERMANENT btw]
17:23:02 Apr 3rd 08 - Mr. Wraith: Wraith looked at his soldiers. They were all hardened and trusted his decisions. They nodded that they were ready to fight and Wraith smiled inwardly. He couldn't have chosen a better set of companions. Wraith scanned the area. He saw Verthias and his squad running up to the battlements. They seemed oblivious to the group of soldiers running at them, a little way off from them. He ran at this group to intercept them before Verthias was done from his task. About 100 metres off, Wraith shot a warning shot falling short by a few metres. The other ran past him as he kept shooting arrows. When they reached 75 metres, Sophie started letting loose the arrows with better precision and Wraith ran to join up with her and BK, who was casting Lightning Strike and the three of them provided cover for Chris and Karl. They had injured a few soldiers by the time the melee combat started. Chris swung his halberd and struck a soldier, cutting his arm while Karl slashed at another few soldiers who quickly tried to gang up on him. Wraith raced closer to the big group while Sophie took care of the archers on the Battlements. Wraith let loose a few arrows in the backs of soldiers who had seemingly forgotten about him. Chris was keeping soldiers back from him with the long reach of the halberd and Karl swung expertly at his foes, however received a few cuts although not serious due to the strong armour.

17:46:50 Apr 3rd 08 - Mr. Deathuelf: [ Im nameing my soldiers-Bill and Ben are the swordsman and Rosey and Jim are the archers] Deathuelf saw Wraith and Verthias in the fighting all ready and then noticed a group of soliders were chargeing at him. He ordered Bill and Ben to line up in front of Rosey and Jim. he then ordered Rosey and Jim to fire at the group. Deathuelf drew his 2 handed sword and waited for the soilders to get close anough. Rosey and Jims arrows had killed a few of them but the others didnt stop so he orderd Bill to stay and protect them and then Deathuelf and Ben charged in to the soilders sliceing and hacking at them.

02:48:44 Apr 4th 08 - Mr. Charley II: Mr. Charley's men had no names....only their jobs......Mr. Charley watched the battle before him as him and his men prepared their attack. He prepared to provide covering fire along with his bowman while the rest of his men cut through the enemy ranks of inexperienced troops and then prepared for the duels against the enemy elite troops. His knight tore through the enemy swordsmen and if he was ever slowed down the axeman used his brute strength to smash them to the ground. His assassin swept through the field dodging and weaving through the enemy lines stabbing out randomly and causing many casualties (OOP: Answering question above.....actually....I am of the race of the Noldor which is the most ancient race of elves and is considered to be the root of the wisest and strongest of the elvish races that ever set foot on Middle-Earth) =p For more info read the book The Silmarillion by J.R.R Tolkien =P

Ken Fortega, Jack Joevel, Lily Joevel, Peter Doemta Plato stood at the back, launching spell after spell at the troops. Then, at the back, he saw a fire catapult. Ken and Lilly ran and killed the archers shooting at Deathuelf. Lily looked sad that more human life had to be taken, but Ken had no emotion at all towards the enemy, and killed all he could see. Sadly, a blast from the fire catapult came and fell next to Ken, knocking Kne out. Lily quickly grabbed Ken and ran back to the medic. Peter grabs his knifes and threw them at a general standing at the right. Jack hit one of the men operating the catapult, but another man came to take his place. Plato said to himself, "How did they get this many men?" Plato casted a lightening bolt at a group of enemy mages, but the reflected it. However, they first 10 people were obviously new mages and accidently got rid of it instead of turning it at the fortress. Then, about 10,000 swordsmen came runing at the fortress gate. Plato, looking more grim then ever, sent fireballs at everyone in the front. However, there were too many, and one managed to get in. Plato promptly burnt him to a crisp. Some archer brought it out and put it in the path of the 9,999 men. They saw it and stared at it for a while, then 100 of our knights came out of the fortress and began to slay the men. The battle continues...
05:59:48 Apr 4th 08 - Mr. Charley II: Mr. Charley's men fell back to the fortress walls and prepared to switch to ranged weapons to cover the other troops battling below. Many men fell to the arrows and throwing axes of Mr. Charley and his loyal men. Many enemy soldiers were placing climbing ladders and throwing grappeling hooks along the wall and much time was spent either kicking the ladders over or cutting the lines and very few men made it to the top and lived for more than 5 seconds. Mr. Charley was struck in the leg by an enemy arrow and his assassin quickly rushed him to safety before prompty taking his place.....his assassin revealed his secret name to him.....Maethros Tasidian....a name only revealed to his true captain. Maethros then rushed to the wall and rallied the men to continue defending the fortress and the battle continued below......
