I already got Sir title in the current character, go to HoH & check it. It should say Sir before your character. If not, then you'll have to wait for next era, select "Sir/ Lady" Title when naming your character before dropping to the next map. Sir title will pop-up to everywhere even when you receive/ send message.

Not to mention, this Sir title may disappear if you don't select this title next era when renaming (like if you select Mr. then it'll disappear). So better do what Horus says :)
