Why didn't I get 1 rp point ?
Honestly, If this isnt worth 1 point then how... oh well

We could of continued but for not getting even one rp point, I kinda lost hope in the system

You (7/22/2008 1:29:36 PM) Septim sat in his office at the Guard offices for the city of Xeris. He was of average size, around 5'11", and his body was in good physical condition. Years of being a guard made you one of two things, fat and old or strong and happy. His hair had a few streaks of gray in the brown depths, but it was fine, he was around forty-two. Septim got up and walked out into the training room where two guards sparred. Septim grabbed a practice sword and approached Horvel, his second in command. "Fancy a spar?" asked Septim. "Of course!" replied Horvel. Septim readied his blade and Horvel attacked, Septim blocked both strikes with finesse and struck the side of Horvel's right leg. As he yelled in agony from the blow to his leg, Septim knocked his sword from his hand and held his blade to Horvel's throat. "Alright, you got me," admitted Horvel. Septim smiled. "That'll leave a welt," said Septim as he examined the mark. "Yeah...thanks," said Horvel. Though he was getting on in years at 49 he could hold himself if needed He stood at around 6'1 and weighed a little more than average He walked out of his office into the coutyard where some soldiers were practicing close-combat He watched on as one man looked a fine man too serve under him General Fran returned to his office to finish a letter to be sent to the main city You (7/22/2008 2:05:21 PM) Septim finished sparring and went into his office, he put on his armor and went off towards the palace with his group of twenty men. They were to be the main guard of the Emperor, Septim trusted every man with his life, as well as the Emperor's. The night was dark, but the city was the opposite. It seemed every torch in town was lit. It was expected, it was the 400th anniversary of the Empire's founding afterall. Most of the men in the Empire were likely getting drunk or already passed out. However, any man caught drinking on Septim's watch would be immediately kicked out of the guard and fined, if not imprisoned. The life of the Emperor was in their hands, and Septim was not about to let it be extinguished. The sounds of merrymaking and laughter were suddenly replaced with screaming. Septim ran to the window and saw that the gates were opened and an army was pouring through. Septim turned to his men. "Men! Take defensive formations around the Emperor's room! You are to let nobody pass!" yelled Septim. Septim ran into the Emperor's room and saw him reading a book with a glass of wine next to him. "Sir! Enemies are invading, you must come with me!" yelled Septim. "He was right..." muttered the Emperor as he got up, he wobbled a bit. "Sir, are you drunk?" asked Septim. "I only had a few glasses...or maybe a bottle or two...who knows," said the Emperor. In addition to escorting the Emperor, Septim would now have to support him through the palace to the escape route. Septim helped the Emperor up and had him place his arm around Septim's neck. Septim supported the drunken Emperor out the door and down the hall. "Wait, my son! You must get my son," yelled the Emperor. Septim turned and supported him back to his room, Septim then ran off down the hall and into the Prince's room. A baby boy was being craddled in the arms of his nurse, and Septim ran to them, a plan was forming in his mind. "Nurse, take the prince, take him to the escape route, it's in the library, in the bookshelf with the picture of Antiochus, go!" yelled Septim. The nurse nodded and ran out the door, Septim ran down the hall and back to the Emperor's room to see his men fighting off swarms of enemy soldiers. Septim ran to join them. Eventually the enemy finally gained the upper hand, with only five of Septim's men remaining. Within a minute, the five were reduced to two, Horvel and Septim. The two ran into the Emperor's room, preparing to fight to the death. The two barricaded the door. "Septim, I have something to tell you," said the Emperor. The bangs on the door were loud and heavy, they were using a battering ram. "Sir! I'm a bit busy!" yelled Septim. The door broke open and enemies began pouring in, Septim and Horvel began fighting, but within a minute, Horvel was dead. Septim continued fighting, but one man could not hold off an army, and an arrow struck his leg. Septim fell to the ground in pain as a tall man wearing black armor and a long black cape walked in. "Well Captain, you have been a thorn in my side, over five hundred of my men are wounded and dead because of you and your thirty men, it's now at an end..." muttered the man. The man drew his sword and walked over to the Emperor, the Emperor yelled something that Septim couldn't hear, and the tall man stopped before killing the Emperor. Turning around, he spitted at Septim, but Septim was already dead. Sir Gonzo The Great [RET] (7/22/2008 2:33:05 PM) The door burst open with a message The main city was under attack and the Emperor was likely dead Fran knew ging to the city would be suicide at best, nearly half his soldiers needed more training He walked out into the center of the yard He rang the emergency bell and gave the signal too his bodyguard Leon to call the troops and the blacksmiths too gather their things Like most tonight was not a good night too be under attack as most of the fort was under the influence Tonight was one of the only times they would taste Alcohol on their lips under the command of General Fran The forts men would had south to the main Fort of Xeriol commanded by General Hielo, all the other Generals were to do the same in situations like this As this was most central Fran looked up into the hills as he saw the main city alite on the west side, he figured the worst for them all A shudder came over him before mounting his horse " Leon manage the men at the back, Ill watch the front" " Yes my General " Replied a weak Leon " Nows not a time to go soft on me Leon " said Fran in a deep voice " I need everything out of you all" They mouted the horses, and headed south One day at best on horseback, time was critical Fran thought You (7/22/2008 2:58:07 PM) Ten soldiers carried bodies from the palace. They didn't like their job, corpses were quite disgusting, expecially the ones that were cut in half. They carried one man who looked like he died from an arrow through his leg and dropped him on the cart, after a few bodies fell on top, the man began to move. He saw a medical officer's corpse and quickly grabbed the medic's tools. After extracting the arrow and using the disinfectant potion, Septim wrapped it in bandages under his clothes and continued playing dead. *** The cart rolled on, Septim had no idea where, but he didn't want to roll off until he was far from the city. After two hours of riding under the corpses of his countrymen, Septim began moving, he pushed the corpses off of him and silently jumped off, he suppressed a groan as his leg erupted in pain and limped away. They discussed possibilities for a while, Before seeking rest for the knew day Fran went to a room he had been asinged to, nothing luxury He layed down next to his wife He couldn't sleep for what seemed like hours... *** He awoke early in the morning before many others It wasnt warm but humid and dense, Fran found it quite hard to breath at times As the sun rose he was already dressed and eating breakfast " Good morning General Fran " Said a Troop who sat down next to him " Good morning... After a mile of walking, he fell against a tree, unable to continue. His leg was in bad condition, the poor medical work he did was not sufficient. Aiding him towards the shack he owned a quarter of a mile away. "I heard of you from General Verselor before he retired, he said he caught you drinking on the job," said Septim. "That was not the case, a drop of alcohol has never found its way to my lips in my life, no, he was the one who was intoxicating himself. I walked into his tent one day on a campaign to find him drinking, he framed me, and within two days I was booted out. They said I was lucky not to be imprisoned..." said Verdelet. "I knew Verselor drank, he always smell of it..." said Septim. "I...can't talk of this anymore, get some sleep, it'll take at least two weeks for that wound to heal," said Verdelet, "Tomorrow you can tell me how you got it..." Fran after a good nights sleep which was unusual at these times Sat up in bed and drank a large glass of water fresh from the spring " Good Morning Sargeant Gert " Said Fran while putting on his boots " Morning Sir " he Replied " Breakfast today is.." Septim said nothing as he walked over to the pile of straw in the corner of the room that was his bed, he layed down and shut his eyes, both wanting sleep to come, yet dreading it, knowing the terrors of the dreams to that would accompany it.

That is NOT in game RP, it is story telling which isn't roleplaying.

How often do you walk into a room and say 'Scientist woke up today and was still a little tired, he walks into the room looking for food.' Never? You dont describe your own actions in real life, so you dont do it when you roleplay. You are only taking on a new identity when you roleplay, you need to act like you think that person would..........

How do you get the title of General?

ANSWER

You don't get it through RP messaging. The available titles are Sir, Lord, Duke, and Prince. General is a custom title that you can buy.

How do I know if I have any RP points?

ANSWER

Go to "The Guide" section (button at the top of the forum window) and scroll to the bottom...it should say the following:

'You have 1 rp-points and you current title is Sir. By acting and playing a character in the game, people can report your messages as (good) and you will receive more role-playing points.'

QUESTION

How do I know who to RP with? And how would I get them to RP with me?

ANSWER

A good way to find someone to message RP with is to look on the forums or find someone with a roleplaying title (Sir, Lord, Duke, Prince). Most people with a title will be more than happy to engage you in a Roleplaying way. Message them first with something like "Hey I want to message RP, would you do one with me?" or "If I send any message RPing thing to you, would you do it with me?",  ect".

Is the list of people who received Roleplaying points update throughout the era?

ANSWER

No, a new list is posted at the end of every era once the points have been given out.

QUESTION You seem to have to type a lot. Why should I act as someone else to get an RP point? Why cant I act as myself? ANSWER Acting yourself is not Roleplaying........ It is just being normal.......... Roleplaying Points are given out to people who do good RPs........ You won't be able to get a Roleplaying Title without Roleplaying...........you can still buy a custom title though........

How do the people that deals out rp points know what is reality and made up? How do you know if Im roleplaying, or acting as myself?

I mean, can you really know Im not an Archangel, sent from above to save the people of this world?

Im serious about this, how do you tell rp from just plain talk?

I have checked the Hints on Gaining RP points, and I have one question.

I know you cant type actions, but what about beginning with the quality of the letter, E.G:

*The parchment was a brownish colour, rolled into a scroll and stamped in wax with the imperial seal*

"Letter"

Also, say your capital is under siege, and you want to be dramatic, can you do something like this:

"Blah blah blah blah"

*The letter is abruptly interrupted by a rather large stain of ink spreading across much of the parchment*

Then message 2:

"Apologies, our main keep was infiltrated, and I was forced to flee the city. I sent you the message as was because I knew not if I would make it out alive. Blah blah blah."

Basically I guess Im asking if its ok to add little visual aidsfor dramatic effect?

In that case, can you end the letter, and draw in an ink stain:

"blah blah blah   ...........................................................................................    

.........................................................................................................................

........................................................................................................................

..............                        ...........................                   ..................

..............................................."

And then follow up with the second letter explaining what happened and saying something like:

"Apologies, I spilled ink on the parchment, but had to send it anyway, blah blah."

Thats not interrupting the roleplay with visual descriptions, but still adds visual effects without hindering the flow. Is that acceptable?

I heard you could get RP points based off of your history. Is this true and if so how?

Hm...., do histories unchecked for the eras gone count?

History would have to be checked after the era ends I think.  I cannot read the current era history.

What's the maximum number of RP points that one may receive for 1 RP?

how can i give +`s to people with which im RP`ing, while i cant cause i have negative rp points? thats insane.... give me atleast till 0 points. and zeta give me my clown title then :D

Individual is graded.  I won't try to figure out the entire convo since many other people are doing convos as well and they mix together...individual = what I grade.

Length counts more and more as you get a higher title.  I am more lenient on people getting their first point.  Length, grammar, etc all increase in scrutiny.

Well, you did kind of dig your own grave by writing messages that are:

a) Insulting messages that were very "colorful" or
b) Writing messages that insulted a person's RL character

Messages like "You f*cking suck! Prepare to die you f*cker.  *Insert mom joke* hahahaha" is a great example of what gets you BAD points.

Simply put, it is like getting banned from messages.  If you message me some of your RPs and that I see you are really trying, I will reset you to 0.  Otherwise, nothing doing.

Does a Fictional Paper I had to write for English count as RP'ing?

I am no longer doing history.  I am the only mod who would do it and my computer cannot do points correctly at this time.

It is a thing that I added after it not being done since Scientist.  I was active at the time and added it.

It'll update next time you log in, I do believe.
