The battle above Earth was not going well, twenty-two stations had been obliterated, nearly half of the defense force. They had managed to destroy a few smaller ships, possibly small frigates, but the ships seemed to be waiting for something else, and were only using a fraction of their offensive power. This thought scared Geoffrey Ortiz, but he continued coordinating the defense, regardless of the futility.

“As we speak, the Amarian Alliance assaults your homeworld. We are willing to aid your people, but I require your word on several matters before I proceed,” said Admiral Fergom Del-Recom.

There was a pause as Admiral Johnson regained control on the other end.

“What promises, Admiral?” asked Johnson.
“I require your word that the Coalition of Earth and the Republic of Erus will be allies,” said Admiral Del-Recom.
“Yes? And what else?” asked Admiral Johnson.
“It is also required that you evacuate abandon your homeworld,” said the Crotian Admiral.

“We can’t do that, Admiral,” said Johnson.
“Now is not the time for sentimental foolishness, Admiral, the Amarian Alliance WILL take Earth, and whether or not our casualties will be very high or very low depends upon whether we abandon Earth or make the futile attempt to keep it. The twenty billion souls on Earth depend upon this decision, Admiral Johnson.”

“Admiral, it is my place as your flagship’s AI to inform you that his proposed course of action is the best course of action,” said George Washington aboard the CS Pershing.

Admiral Peter Johnson was now solely responsible for the largest decision in the history of the human race. However, it was a very easy decision to make, and only his strong love for his homeworld kept him from making it.
“Admiral Del-Recom…”

“Have you made your decision?” asked Admiral Del-Recom over the Communications Link.
Yes, we will evacuate Earth to a destination of your choosing,” said Admiral Johnson.
“Excellent, however, you will not evacuate anybody. You will send a message to Earth explaining the details of this meeting, and you will leave to coordinates that I will transfer to your ship shortly. Your fleet is not nearly fast enough or strong enough to rescue Earth, and I fear you will only get in the way,” said Admiral Del-Recom.
“I honestly don’t have much of a choice,” admitted Admiral Johnson.

“Hey Alfie!” yelled Sergeant Greg Martin, “I found a Coalition soldier.”

“Just one?” asked the man that Baker assumed to be Alfred Pritchard.

“I got cut off,” said Baker, “We were hoping to find out what happened to Mars.”

“Alfred Pritchard, pleased to meet you!” said Pritchard, a man in his early thirties.

Pritchard was around 5’7”, but was well built, and was wearing combat fatigues.
“Dan Baker,” said Baker as he shook Pritchard’s hand.
The room they were in was large enough to house a small armory and a food supply, and also has several robots standing around the room, mini-guns and missile launchers acting as their arms. Baker looked at them with a sense of unease.
“Don’t worry; I’ve cut them off from the AI. They’re not as effective at offense, but they’re a good defense in case of attack,” said Pritchard.

“So…what the hell happened?” asked Baker.
“Well, you might not believe it but …aliens attacked,” said Pritchard.

[[OOC: Really hard for me to type this, but I'm trying!]]

URE Heavy Cruiser Grek-Morinol

0158 SST, March 30th, 2265

Admiral Fergom Del-Recom of the United Republic of Erus turned around in his chair and faced Commander Marcus Keller, an honored guest aboard his ship.
“Will I be going with the my fleet?” asked Keller.
“No, there is no time, you’ll be coming with us,” said Del-Recom before placing his arm on the holographic keyboard, his mind linked with the ship, and the ship was ordered to travel to Earth and to inform the other ships in the fleet of their objective. The massive ship turned towards Earth and began accelerating. It picked up speed quickly, and without any effect within the ship, accelerated rapidly into what Keller assumed was the Crotian equivalent of Riftspace.
“How long will it take us to reach Earth?” asked Keller.
“Thirty seconds.”
Keller didn’t respond, he was shocked, but he didn’t show it. Thirty seconds later, the URE fleet decelerated out of Riftspace, and Keller saw Earth and her single moon, Luna. Del-Recom was linked with his ship, probably giving orders to his ship and the others. Keller knew not to bother him, and decided instead to watch the battle.

“We have another unidentified fleet approaching,” said Marius
“Another one!? Consider ‘em hostile until we receive communications!”

“A message from High Command: we are not to attack the fleet, they are allies,” said Marius.
“Allies? I won’t argue!” yelled Ortiz.
