The Village V - information
01:20:35 Jan 4th 09 - Duke Michael Deallus:

*Hopes the topic doesn't sink the ship from having so many posts*

01:23:14 Jan 4th 09 - Mr. Travis Leiondon:

*Travis eagerly waits for Sal to start the game.*

~Five seconds later...~

"SAL, GET YOUR ****IN ASS OVER HERE, YOU SON OF A *****,  I AM TIRED OF WAITING FOR THE **** YOU SAID YOU WOULD MOTHER ****ING POST!!!"

*Travis falls over, drunk.*

01:25:27 Jan 4th 09 - Duke Michael Deallus:

*Throws Travis in the brig*

"That should hold him for awhile..."

01:26:49 Jan 4th 09 - Mr. Travis Leiondon:

*Travis is still drunk and unconscious.*

12:16:01 Jan 4th 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

*wakes up

"I will not be Norwegian!"

*flies back into rage

05:19:58 Jan 7th 09 - Mr. Salaracen The Good Dancer:

Demonsul, if your not a Norwegian I'll have to cut your testicles off and nail them to the mast.

Okay, INFORMATION UPDATE.

So the way this game will work is, the captain will first land the vessel, he will recieve a map, and then they will decide where to put their settlement.

From this point on, Demonsul will order people to do things, and from that, they will post the way they organize and how they take advantage of the surroundings.

Basically you will all be posting actions. Once one turn is done, I will post a big post explaining the side affects of those actions.

Btw I demand proper roleplaying in my ACTUAL thread.

First of you will all start off on the boat, in this time Demonsul will ask about preparations and decide where on the map to settle. Demonsul will actually have to ask for maps when he wants maps, one of his workers will run off and get it, I shall post for them :P.

I shall now open a new thread for the Village, Titled,
The Village - The new world

09:27:06 Jan 7th 09 - Sir Hirgon Sadron:

I have a question that I probably should have thought of earlier.  Each of us controls a certain number of men within the RP.  Are we ourselves assumed to have skills similar to those of our men?  For example, is Wraith a mage?  It won't matter too much to Killer and Rhade, but to many of us (especially Wraith), it could make a difference at some point.

13:41:27 Jan 7th 09 - Mr. Salaracen The Good Dancer:

Yes, absolutely right, you have skills like that of your men. But your better than them so its okay.

13:51:21 Jan 7th 09 - Mr. Salaracen The Good Dancer:

After this RP is done Demonsul, I'm goig to need you to add it to the map,

Also, I'm going to need you to make the map, 'Bigger'.

16:35:14 Jan 7th 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

alright?

19:06:06 Jan 7th 09 - Mr. Killer:

Salaracen, sorry, just have to ask a few questions. Does our population grow, and can we train men to be whatever we want if so(I'm guessing this would be part of Demonsul's job)? More importantly however(at least to me) if I can tame animals, can I breed them?

19:30:50 Jan 7th 09 - Duke Michael Deallus:

Yes...we need a HUGE world...one that has limitless possibilities.  A large variety of races(like oriental, arabic, african maybe? It would be like a mirror world to ours except possibly larger.  Jungles, wastelands, ect...I would love to help you but I don't think my efforts are good enough...I will try and give you like...examples though(through GIMP).

17:49:26 Jan 8th 09 - Mr. Salaracen The Good Dancer:

Yes Killer, but I'll explain the true mechanics of how that will work when we get to the new world.

17:52:13 Jan 8th 09 - Sir Hirgon Sadron:

Erhm...can you forgo explaining the mechanics of reproduction and breeding here?  That could get a little awkward, and I'm sure all of us already know the details...

*fidgets*

17:55:45 Jan 8th 09 - Mr. Salaracen The Good Dancer:

Yeah, but being a god I change what your reproductive organs look like with the click of my little finger, therefore I feel obliged to tell you how to use your 'things' in anyway possible.

*Vomits in mouth a little.*

18:00:19 Jan 8th 09 - Sir Hirgon Sadron:

I hope you don't change things too much....ooh, that's interesting, I've never met anyone who's clicked with their little finger before!

18:53:31 Jan 8th 09 - Sir Wilberforce Pwner:

Rawr my first post ;)

I was wondering why I urinated from my nose this morning...

19:37:49 Jan 8th 09 - Mr. Killer:

Ugh.. I apologise folks, I didn't mean expect this vulgar conversation to originate from my humble question.

Good to know, I'm wondering exactly what I'm supposed to do as well...

20:31:14 Jan 8th 09 - Sir Wilberforce Pwner:

Put a cat and a dog in a bag and see what happens ;)

Lol Hirgon

21:56:49 Jan 8th 09 - Mr. Killer:

I 'spect they'd suffocate before they managed to kill the other...

21:12:06 Jan 24th 09 - Mr. Killer:

1 Septim - War chief and Captain of the Guard (Commands infantry and other military captains ie Septim and Hirgon, Controls 90 infantry and 40 guards)

Septim will command the general military in the colony. This includes giving orders to the "Head Rider' and  "Hawk eye". Michael will need to use tactics, for example, when advancing through areas that may be dangerous or inhabited by an enemy. As Captain of the Guard he must make sure the population is safe and there are no thefts, killings etc.

2 Wilberforce - Head rider(Captain of Cavalry controls 50 people on horses)

Wilberforce leads the horsemen into combat. In order to come out ontop in combat he will need to command his men well by giving them objectives to do within combat. Also he must consider the horses, terrain must be sufficient for optimum performance. They may be invaluable in this dangerous landscape and you only have a certain amount, 50.

3 Hirgon - Hawk eye (Commander of the archer division, Controls 40 archers)

Operating a pocket of Archers is not nearly as easy as in sounds. To find good positions for you men to actually be effective can be a hassle. Managing equipment can be a pain as well, considering that there has to be ammunition to use with the bows and arrows. Also being able to support other troops on the battlefield is something that makes archers stand out from other soldiers in the village, in a sense that they can do it from a range. Archers are also good for scouting missions.

4 Demonsul - Captain of the Vessel 'Our lady', Organizer of the colony. (The boss, commands all 1,000)

Now that he survived the voyage Demonsul may now command his passengers to successfully run the colony. Demonsul must make sure there is enough housing for everyone, enough food, enough work and protection. He oversees all the other leaders' work and decides what to train the unemployed into. He decides when to move from place to place.

5 Wraith - Head mage(Controls 5 mages)

You may order your five mages to use magic in anyway they can, for helpful purposes. There's 4 magic types.
Healing - Heals dudes.
Fire - Make fire(light and heat).
Mind - Can control mindes slightly. Not altogether too much use except for to calm animals and such as there's nothing else. Or is there?
Necromancy - Can control the dead. Not much use, undead are weak fighters, and this usually requires more energy than it's worth.

6 Electric - Scholar/Farmer (Controls 15 scholars, 180 farmers)

Scholar - The wise men of the colony. After studying substances for a while they will know what makes it tick or if its poisonous. Generally they can study anything and come up with something that can be done with it/about it. You as leader Electric have to assign research tasks to your academics.
Famrer - The responsiblity of feeding an entire coloney.... On YOUR shoulders. This includes killing animals, gathering food and tending the land once you've established if you can farm or not.

7 Rhade - Labourer/Blacksmith - (Controls 350 labourers, 80 blacksmiths)

Labourer - This is possibly the most important part of the game. The labourers clear away trees, build buildings, mine for ore, anything that doesnt require long term training.
Blacksmith - In the new world the need for weapons and protection will be great, the black smith will only really get started once the town is fully underway, considering the effort a blacksmith requires.

8 ? - Beastmaster (Controls 50 beastmasters)

An NPC will do this unless anyone wants the job. The Beastmaster must capture animals(usually with the help of the military forces if necessary) and tame them for various purposes.

Any questions, please ask. Any suggestions, I will gladly hear them.

21:22:21 Jan 24th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

[[OOC: Valan Septim is good at training horses, so he could be a beastmaster there...but he doesn't really care about anything else. And why'd you put Mikey's name in the description. XD]]

23:15:11 Jan 24th 09 - Mr. Killer:

I was copying Salaracen's thing at the start. Septim, you've already got two fairly important jobs.

23:47:38 Jan 24th 09 - Lord Frost Wraith:

Erm.... there isnt much I can do at the moment except make fires to keep people warm... -_-

Can I have a mage specialise in each school of magic? So they know the basics from all and get better in their own specific school?

16:45:46 Jan 25th 09 - Mr. Killer:

Yeah, sure. Do you have any better suggestions for magic, I couldn't really think of any. And instead of the Beastmaster capturing animals, the military dudes have to do it instead. The beastmaster studies and tames them.

17:01:55 Jan 25th 09 - Lord Frost Wraith:

Not really since I'm not sure how Sal wanted magic to be used in this :S

17:03:57 Jan 25th 09 - Mr. Killer:

Neither am I. It's a pity he didn't at least get the boat to land, and give descriptions of what to do out, I'd have had some sort of an idea how to work this then.

17:19:09 Jan 25th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

Magic could be used like infantry, archers, or cavalry. They fight. They could also heal wounded men.

21:26:06 Jan 26th 09 - Lord Frost Wraith:

Yea, I post slowly... not many people need me yet :P

And I was thinking maybe....

- Healing and Water
- Fire and explosive stuff
- Mind and Wind
- Necromancy and Earth

That way you can sort of have a mix from all elements

22:26:00 Jan 26th 09 - Sir Wilberforce Pwner:

Question:

Can horses not breed? :P

22:29:18 Jan 26th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

*Barry White music starts playing*

23:53:09 Jan 26th 09 - Mr. Killer:

Of course horses can breed, they're just very slow at doing so. The average horse pregnancy is near a year or something, while the humans is 9 months. The humans in this RP are reproducing at a rate of around 1% per day, so it would be a tiny bit less for horses, but more importantly, there are a lot less horses. Say 50 horses reproducing at a rate of 1%, that would be a horse every two days. So tomorrow, you'll get a new horse Wilberfroce, congratulations. Thanks for reminding me.
[And who's Barry white?]

Magic:
- Healing and Water
- Fire and Explosive stuff(a better name will be found for this)
- Mind and Wind
- Necromancy and Earth

Alright, this is the new magic system.
