The Return of Kerait |
05:22:38 Dec 6th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
"I don't care if you're the Chairman of Kerait! Three men, take it or leave it!" said the Captain.
|
05:43:18 Dec 6th 08 - Mr. Delran:
"Very well, me and two others of my men. Reynolds, you come with me! And choose someone to come along!"
|
05:53:47 Dec 6th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
"I'll have my radioman, Bernie Glass, come along. We'll need to establish a CL so the negotiations can start," said Reynolds as he gestured for his radioman to follow. The Captain had the gate open, and the three stepped through, and after ten minutes of trekking through the city, they reached the Olkun'ut Command Center. A tough looking man walked out, his face was heavily scarred, and he held a submachine gun in his right hand. His hair was buzzed short, and he had a goatee. "Sir!" said the guide as he saluted. "At ease soldier," said the man, "I'm Supreme General Drek Vu-Brek, Supreme Commander of the New Olkun'ut Army. Follow me, President Hershu is waiting." Supreme General Vu-Brek led the three through the Command Center into a large office. At the desk was a gray haired man of around sixty. "I'm President Hershu..." said the man, "Welcome to my city..."
|
06:00:08 Dec 6th 08 - Mr. Delran:
"Sir, we are honored to be here! I am High General Delran Dark of the Kerait Military, this is Major Brian Reynolds and this is Sergeant Bernie Glass, both from the Black Dragons. We thank you for your warm welcome!"
|
06:20:55 Dec 6th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
"Thank you. A message came before you explaining your situation. I know that you are THE General Dark. And I know that you are THE Major Reynolds. I also know that Chairman Septim still lives. But enough of that, if you will Sergeant Glass..." Bernie Glass began setting up his radio equiptment, and within a minute, a Communication Link was set up between New Olkai and Kerait City. "Greetings Chairman Septim, I am President Hershu," said Hershu. "Pleased to meet you, now lets get down to business. Iellus nuked us both, they killed millions of our people so that they could rule. I don't give a rat's ass about the wars in the past, and to be honest, I don't really care that you once again have independence. My one goal right now is to wipe out Iellus, and I was wondering if you'd like to help," said Septim. "Chairman Septim, how can I be assured that you will not seek to destroy us after the war is over?" asked Hershu. "I can't promise anything. I really can't. But I will say that as long as Iellus is still on this planet, we will not fight you," said Septim. "That is acceptable. I guess we can't really sign a treaty, so lets just make this a pact of honor," said Hershu. "That is fine by me," said Septim, "Thank you, President Hershu. I must leave now, my men will go back to their boats. I'll be in touch." Septim killed the CL and Hershu leaned back. "That makes me feel a lot better," said Hershu, "I guess I should give you guys a gift of friendship, eh? Well, we have obtained schematics for a new technology that Iellus has developed, it's called power armor, really cool stuff. You can have them if you want..."
|
11:26:12 Dec 6th 08 - Mr. Delran:
"We thank you Mr. President. I think we need them! And forgive me for saying this, but could you speed things a little? I have a campaign to plan and war to lead. We need to get back to Kerait as fast as we can."
|
16:13:51 Dec 6th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
"You know how to fly a plane?" asked the President. "I do, sir," said Reynolds. "Good, we have a few transport planes that we've managed to restore, one of them can probably fit all your men on it," said the President.

[OOC: Who are those tacticians? :-) ]
|
[[OOC: Never did see that post, I was looking back to see what had happened when I found this. The two great tacticians are you and me XD...]]
"Now, if you'll excuse me gentlemen, I have some business to take care of," said Hershu. Reynolds, Dark (sorry, want to get back to Kerait to hurry this up), and Glass bowed and left the room. They retrieved their men and drove to the Olkai airstrip where they found a battered transport craft waiting for them. Reynolds got into the pilot's seat, Harold Vren in the co-pilot's seat, and the rest in the cargo area. The cargo area had about as many seats as could be packed into the area, most of the straps were broken. The plane took off without a hitch, and four hours later, Kerait Island was in sight. "Command, this is Major Brian Reynolds aboard Air Transport AB10, coming in for a landing," said Reynolds as the plain cruised at a lower altitude. The landing gear almost didn't come out, but the plane managed to land safely, and the Black Dragons, along with the Storm Riders, got out of the plane. Reynolds got off the plane with Dark, and the two saw Chairman James Septim waiting to greet them. "Welcome back soldiers, good job on that last mission," said Septim. "Sir!" said Reynolds and the Black Dragons as they saluted. "At ease soldiers, at ease," said Septim. "Sir, President Hershu gave us a gift, schematics for a new technology, it's called power armor," said Reynolds, "It's meant to increase strength, stop bullets better than two feet of kevlar, and to top it off, it has a display in the helmet that allows you to track how many bullets you have left, along with several other medical display functions. And the material used to make the plates, Duramantium, is abundant around Herval." "Great news! I would call this mission a complete success. I'm sorry about Perkins, he was a good friend of mine as well as yours. Right now we're debriefing the three Red Dragons that survived...Sergeant Bryan Jackson is being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, he will lead the Red Dragons from now on," said Septim, "Now, you guys have been through a lot, get some rest..." Reynolds handed a disc containing the schematics to Septim, and hopped on a transport with his Dragons. Before the transport left, Reynolds saluted Delran. "It was an honor serving with you sir," said Reynolds as the transport took off. "He's a good soldier," said Septim to Delran, "But now to the matters at hand, I'll need a full report on the mission, along with dossiers on people you met in Olkun'ut. Admiral Wolfe expects it by tomorrow, goodbye High General." Septim walked to a car that was waiting for him, the driver opened the door for him and he got in. The car drove off with a WarHummer in back and a WarHummer in front. Waiting for Delran was a similar car.

19:45:59 Dec 6th 08 - Mr. Arvious VIII:
Day One of Training:
Journal,
I've decided to keep track of all of my training information and pratices in this book. Plus it's boring after training. He told me to do various exercises, as well as an accuracy drill to see how well I could fire a rifle. I sucked with the rifle, but had much more success with my old TS-7. Hit 3 bullseye with the pistol, and could barely hit the target with the rifle. What can I say? I'm good with pistols.
After most of the conditioning, I went to the lab with my TS, thinking about doing some tinkering. The engineer there was delighted, though I'm not entirely sure that was allowed. Oh well. He updated my pistol, making it 50% more accurate, and it now hold twice as much ammo than it used to. Just shows you how old that thing was.
End of Day One.

23:45:24 Dec 6th 08 - Mr. Delran:
"Damn!" said Delran to himself. "I didn't see much action out there, but I did see Olkai. Let's use my abilities." Within the hour, Delran had a complete report about Olkai, it's defences, technologies and officers. Most were deducted from what he saw but more than 80% accurate. He also included the President and the Supreme General In his report. Within 2 hours a a messenger put the report on Septim's desk. "Sir, I have brought you High General Dark's report. He sais it's about 80% accurate!"
|
23:49:44 Dec 6th 08 - Mr. Delran:
Delran also wrote to Johnny Perkins and Lieutenant George Perkins expressing his regrets about their loss. He assumed total responsability for Dak's death, as he was his commanding officer that time and Dak died under his command. He also wrote that should they need any support, he would be at their disposal.
|
01:45:34 Dec 7th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
"Thank you," said Septim to the messenger. The messenger left and Septim read the report. Hershu seems like a typical politician in both his report and over the CL...but this Supreme General seems formidable... Septim closed the report and sent it to the office of Admiral Howard Wolfe. He then sat back. Power armor? Seems like something out of those old comics...hmph. I hope it's as reliable as they say it is...I'm going to need to revise my plan... Septim leaned forward and entered his password on his computer terminal, he then began recreating his plan. Olkun'ut would come out and draw most of the attention by starting a full scale war against Iellus while the Dragons would take over their Space Command Center. Perkins was originally going to lead the assault on the Space Command Center, but now Brian Reynolds would be the one in charge of the assault. After that, he would strike their bases and cities with EMP blasts before his men would go in. They would make sure to take their factories and naval bases first. Then they would take their cities and bases. He would throw the plan out at the next Council meeting, with some revision it could work.
|
17:28:32 Dec 7th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
"Now. Let the second New Kerait Council meeting begin," said Chairman Septim, "Present: Chairman Septim of Kerait, High General Dark of the Kerait Army, Grand Admiral Xarxes of the Kerait Navy, General Rell of the Kerait Air Force, Admiral Wolfe of Kerait Intelligence. Now, I have created a plan for the invasion of Iellus. It might need to be revised, but it should work. We have three Dragon teams secure their Space Command Station, after that, we're golden. Before each battle, we'll EMP out enemies, that'll short out most of their advanced weaponry. After that, we send our men in, they won't stand a chance. We'll take their tank factories, shipyards, and weapon factories first, then we'll move in for the cities. Before we do this, we'll have our Olkun'ut allies wage a full scale war to get Iellus out of their country, that should make them send a large number of troops over there. The Olkun'ut have been fighting a guerilla war for fifty years, they should be pretty good by now."
|
00:45:10 Dec 8th 08 - Mr. Delran:
"Sir, we should first wait for the Olkun'ut assault and then make our move. We may benefit from their lack of troops in the west adn may have the element of surprise on our side. Also, how can we take their SCS? Ain't it heavily guarded?"
|
01:15:01 Dec 8th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
[["Before we do this, we'll have our Olkun'ut allies wage a full scale war to get Iellus out of their country, that should make them send a large number of troops over there. The Olkun'ut have been fighting a guerilla war for fifty years, they should be pretty good by now."
XD]]
"That's exactly what I said I would do...they will attack first. Now, no matter what, the Space Command will be well guarded, a full scale assault would be suicide due mostly to their automated turrets. If the Dragons can get inside and shut down the turrets, then only around a hundred men would be left to kill, that would be no challenge for fifty-three Dragons," said Septim.
|
01:26:00 Dec 8th 08 - Mr. Delran:
"My men can help as well! During the last weeks, my officers used the information about the Iellusian training program, Admiral Wolfe brought back. I think they would give the Dragons a nice and friendly competition!"
[OOC: Sorry, it's 02 AM here and I haven't sleep quite enough in the last days. I missed a few words.]
|
01:31:30 Dec 8th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
"Your Storm Riders will not take part in the takeover of the ISCC (Iellus Space Command Center). I am sorry, but I have other plans for them. While the Dragons are assaulting their SCC, your men will be assaulting the MCLR (Mass Communication Link Relay) nearby. That will stop the Iellusians at the SCC from making any calls for reinforcements..."
|
01:39:46 Dec 8th 08 - Mr. Delran:
"Good enough! They will be ready. May I suggest that my men begin the operations first? It will give us an advantage to gain control of their MCLR first. That way we can weaken the garrison at ISCS."
|
01:52:13 Dec 8th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
"That was my plan, if you don't take it over first, then they will be able to call for reinforcements. Then we'd be screwed..." said Septim.
|
01:53:51 Dec 8th 08 - Mr. Delran:
"I shall not fail you Sir. I will lead the entire Storm Cohorte in this assault. Not that I would need them all, but some of the new recruits will need to see some field action.'

02:27:48 Dec 8th 08 - Mr. Arvious VIII:
Training Day Two:
I don't want to know how many laps that man made me run around the fort today. He made me train in every weapon I can think of, except for nukes, of course. My aim in SMGs are improving, but my aim with rifles still suck. Like yesterday, I could aim better with a pistol than a rifle.
When I entered the lab to do some 'upgrading' on my KS-7, I got chewwed out by the engineer's assistant until the engineer came in and told him it was alright. Heh, lucky me again. He's wondering why I don't just get a KS-10, and throw away this gun. Yeah, throw away a gun your father got you and spent most of the money he had left for it.
Too tired to write anymore, I hope I can manage to do well as a Dragon and nto make a fool out of everyone.

Cole's father was in his bed at the hospital, watching a talk show on T.V. "And now, ladies and gentlemen, the one, the only-" The door opened and his doctor came in, holding a clipboard and a needle. "Okay, everything looks good," he said. "No eggs, no parasites, completely clean of harmful critters. Just gonna, uh, inject you with this serum for one last time." "Alrighty then," Father replied, happy that he will be leaving in a little while. "Here, hold this," the doctor said. Father grabbed the clipboard and took a peak at it. A card on the clipboard had a picture of a doctor, which didn't match the man who just injected him with something. "There, in a couple of seconds, it will begin to cirulate through your blood stream, and then, you will be unconscious." Father's head suddenly fell back, and the middle-aged man went still. The 'doctor' rummaged through his pocket and grabbed a phone. "I have the man, and I'll be heading to the van in a couple of minutes." "Good," the receiver said. "After that, locate the other 'patients' and bring them back to the base."

[[OOC: Arvious, send me a message with what your plan is...]]
"I sure hope you don't, or all of Kerait will feel your failure. Now, Grand Admiral Xarxes, what ships have been built?" asked Septim. "Just three so far, and about ten landing crafts," said Xarxes, "Two KND Xs and one KNB-XII." [[OOC: KNB-IV = Kerait Navy Battleship Mk X KND III = Kerait Navy Destroyer Mk XII ]] "Well, I want those ships christened and sent out soon. I want them to begin raiding Iellusian ships, I don't care if we'll be known as pirates," said Septim. "Yessir, it'll be a good way to get more ships for our navy," said Xarxes. "Exactly, and Rell? What has your factory produced?" asked Septim. "Two squadrons of fighters, five cargo jets, and one squadron of bombers," said Rell. "We'll need two cargo jets for the drop over the ISCC, so get your men ready," said Septim. "Yessir," said Rell. "Alright, and Wolfe, I want your men to assassinate some high ranking Iellusian officers. Without their best tacticians, they will not stand a chance," said Septim. "I'm on it," said Wolfe. If Yerchico had been this involved in the Kerait Military, we would've won the war five years sooner... "Alright, everybody knows what they need to do...get on it," said Septim. The War Council left the meeting room, each member knew their duty, each member was ready.
|
03:04:03 Dec 8th 08 - Mr. Delran:
Delran left the room and went after Septim. He caught him a few moments later. "Sir, the Dragons and my riders still use weapons 100 years old. We will need the newly developed weapons before going into action. Also, I have lost contact with the Military Research and Development Facility during my mission so I am not up to date on the latest field war machines. Could you please inform me about what we have now so I can choose what I need for the army?"
|
03:36:22 Dec 8th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
"I will send a complete list of Keraitian weapons to your office...now, I have business to take care of. Goodbye," said Septim as he walked towards his office.

19:30:12 Dec 8th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
[[OOC: I'll only throw the current ones in there, can't bother throwing in the old ones...the weapons are up above...
Armors KP-1 - Kevlar armor developed at the beginning of the five year truce. KP-2 - Power armor currently being developed off of Olkun'ut schematics. Iellus hasn't bothered building power armor due to the lack of significant threats, so this should be an advantage. IPS.
Vehicles
IPS = In prototype stage. Can't use 'em yet.
Light tanks KLT-7 - Light tank, some variants have heavier cannons than others. KLT-8 - Light tank, first to use expiremental plasma technology. IPS.
Heavy tanks KHT-4 - Heavy tank; uses a heavy cannon, also has a .50 machine gun.
KHT-5 - Heavy tank; first to use expiremental plasma technology. IPS.
Light Recon vehicles KLR-7 "WarHummer" - Four wheel drive; Developed after the five year truce. Some have recoiless rifles on the top rather than machine guns. KLR-8 - No wheel drive. First to use expiremental hoverjet technology. Has a recoiless rifle and two machine guns. IPS.
APCs KPC-6 - Well armored APC developed during the five year truce. Has a small missile launcher, as well as a machine gun. KPC-7 - Very well armored APC. Uses a small plasma cannon. IPS.
Transport trucks KTT-4 - Nearly obsolete, developed before the five year truce.
I would include aircrafts and ships, but we don't need those right now. The power armor will be completed around five days into the war. You can post your takeover of the relay station after you give your guys the new guns. The small arms are done.]]

20:52:53 Dec 8th 08 - Mr. Delran:
Delran looked at the list and choose what weapons he thought his Riders would need, 200 of each: KS-10, KA-25, ans KI-6. Also he ordered 20 KL-12, 20 KD-10, several kilos of KPE, 20 KPC-6, 8 KHT-4, 16 KLT-7 and 20 KTT-4. Because the new technology wasn't developed, he left the army with the same equipment, he only distributed the vehicles among the units so that every unit could have a decent number of them. After this he began to plan the atack on MCLR. He could not take the entire Cohorte on the field because the base would be unguarded, se he choose Centurias 1-3 for the mission.
|
23:16:01 Dec 8th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
Septim gave the weaponry to the squad, but could not give the vehicles to them as not enough were complete yet. He also gave the Dragons the new weaponry, they decided not to use it until they got a decent amount of training with them. Septim then sent a message asking how Delran would insert into Iellus.

The fake doctor stood on the outskirts of the city, next to a stolen KLR-7. Cole's father, along with a bunch of unconscious bodies, were piled in the car. The man grabbed his phone again, and called his boss. "I have all the men you requested, sir." "Are you sure these are the people related to or are the men who were in the platoon who killed my father a hundred years ago?" he asked. "I did a check on all of them, they all match up." "Good. If they give me the information I need, I may let them live. Otherwise..." A breaking noise was made on the receiving line, sounding much like a broken pencil. "Bring them to Iellus either by tommorow's end or not at all."

[[OOC: Post your takeover when you first get on, I won't have much time to post tomorrow...]]
Reynolds was standing in one of the air transports the Dragons were taking. The Red Dragons had only three members left, and those three were in no condition for operations, so they would not take part in the takeover of the ISCC. The light turned green and Reynolds walked to the side of the plane. He looked down and took a deep breath before jumping. As he fell, his stomach felt strange. He had always hated jumps. He pulled his ripcord and right before hitting the ground, he let his chute go. He fell about four feet and his parachute went forward a bit before hitting the ground. Hitting the ground with a perfect Parachute Landing Fall, he readied his submachine gun and began securing the landing zone. Several more Black Dragons, along with Dragons from the Blue Team, the Brown Team, and the Gold Team, landed shortly. "Alright men," said Reynolds, "We're in, now we just need to get the job done. I sure hope the Storm Riders can handle their mission. I want complete silence, whatever you say, do it with gestures. Alright? Move out..." Reynolds and his team started through the forest. They were ten miles away from their destination, but it wasn't that much ground to cover...

Septim was sitting in his office, a cavalry sword was on his desk. The sword had been used by his ancestor many years ago, and he had even used it to kill an enemy soldier on one occasion. The blade was a good one, and had been in his family for a long time. "War...the world will never be without it..." muttered Septim.

13:24:31 Dec 9th 08 - Mr. Delran:
Delran gathered his men. "Men we are going into enemy territory. We will be airdropped 10 miles from our target. Our aim is MCLR. You have received your gear. this is the plan. We will observe the surrounding area of our target to find a way in. I will give you the full details of our mission after few days of surveillance."
The Storm Riders were airdropped from the Kerait planes 10 miles from MCLR. After 2 days of stakeout, they noticed that every day a convoy would enter the MCLR. Delran imdiately forget a plan: They would ambush one convoy, desguise some men as Iellusian soldiers and send them in. After entering the base, these men would seize control of the gate and the comunication room. The rest of the Cohorte will pass through the gate after it has been secured and eliminate all resistance.

22:04:22 Dec 9th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
[[OOC: During the month that passes in this post, Arvious can rescue his father and Delran can post his takeover of the MCLR
The Dragons were waiting on the outside of the ISCC walls. They had not spoken for ten miles, it was a tough task not to speak orders, but Reynolds didn't care. The only silence they had broken was three miles earlier, a Storm Rider has contacted them to tell them that the relay station was no longer operational. It was now night, and most of the one hundred guards were asleep. The turrets were fully operational, and were scanning the grounds. They'd be hard to get by, but not too hard for David Rell, son of General Rell. David Rell was a natural at sneaking into bases. During the war with Olkun'ut, he had been used many times to sneak hostages out of PoW camps. Reynolds moved his hand in a gesture that said "Move out...", Rell followed his order. He had only one weapon, a silenced KS-9. He was wearing a very tight stealth suit that blended in with most walls and masked his body heat. It would make sneaking by the thermal cameras easier, but not simple. Rell crawled through the grass between the forest and the ISCC. He was nervous, but he knew he could do it. He crawled to the chain link fence and looked around, there were cameras all along the fence, but none had seen him, he'd already be dead if they had. He then examined the fence, it was electrified, he could tell. He took a small device out of his pocket and hooked it to the fence, he then hooked the end of it and plugged it into a box. The electric current went into the battery rather than charging the fence, and Rell examined the fence again, there were no lasers or anything that could trip an alarm. He pulled out a pair of wire cutters and cut a very small hole in the fence, he then went through it and replaced the fence, tieing it on with small clips so that nobody would notice the hole, he then looked around again, he saw several cameras, and several gaps. He smiled to himself before going on.

"Chairman Septim," said the lead scientist sitting in the Chairman's office, "We encountered a problem in the power armor project. There was nothing good enough to power it. That was before we discovered Kerium. It is probably a bi-product of the nukes that fell on Kerait Island. Because it took one hundred years for somebody to finally restore the island, a new element formed. One ounce of this stuff can power Kerait City for a hundred years, it's amazing!" "One ounce? How much is there?" asked Septim. "About thirty tons!" yelled the scientist. Septim sat back, Kerait wouldn't have to worry about power again, not in his lifetime at least. "Alright, how long until the power armor is completed?" asked Septim. "About two weeks, that should be enough time for us to make batteries out of this stuff," said the scientist. "Alright, good work..." said Septim. "Thank you, sir," said the scientist.
***
Rell was in. He had gotten past lasers, cameras, turrets, humans, and dogs, but he was in. He was standing in front of the command console for the entire facility. The man that was stationed at it was dead, his neck snapped. Rell had asked the man the password first, giving false promises of life. After shutting down the turrets, cameras, lasers, and switching the targeting parameters for the cyborg guardians protecting the building, Rell sat back. He heard cyborgs attacking the Iellusians outside, and he saw a "Signal lost" every time a cyborg was destroyed, but eventually, the cyborgs won. After having the cyrborgs do a full sweep, Rell shut them down and opened the gates. The Dragons ran into the building and secured it. Bernie Glass then pulled out his radio and reported to HQ.
***
"This is Sergeant Bernie Glass. The ISCC is secure, all hostiles are down," said Glass. Septim was sitting in the command center when the report came in, he got up and walked to the radio. "Good work Dragons. Launch EMP strikes on every bit of civilization they have...those turrets Rell snuck by should blow the hell out of any retaliation they could send," said Septim. "Yessir," said Glass.
***
All over Iellus, EMP strikes wiped out every last bit of civilization they had. All electronic systems they had were fried. Chaos soon followed as electronic locks at prisons failed and prisoners escaped, hospitals failed and thousands died. Only Iellus knew what had happened, but they could not retaliate, they had more problems than they could count.
***
Two months passed while preparations were made for the invasion of Iellus. Every week, another EMP strike happened. Iellus could not recover. During that time, power armor was completed, and units were trained in its use. After the Dragons, the Storm Riders, and five thousand troops were trained and equipped with it, the invasion began.
***
Major Brian Reynolds was an imposing figure in his new power armor. The armor was gray, and it had the Keraitian insignia on each pauldron. The armor covered the entire body. It increased strength, stamina, and the wearer's lifespan. It could survive three direct RPG hits, five hundred rounds of small arms fire, or the fallout from a nuclear missile. It also had a built in oxygen supply that could last twenty minutes. The suit was a miracle to Kerait, yet a curse to Iellus. The Olkun'ut could not make them, as they didn't have the power supply required. Kerait would be the world's military superpower once again. Reynolds was about to be one of the frontline soldiers in the invasion. The power armored soldiers of Kerait would be a terrifying thing to see.

00:16:00 Dec 10th 08 - Mr. Arvious VIII:
Day Four:
"Alright men!," Adam said. "Today, we will be heading to Iellus to finally take the city of fools. We will board a plane shortly and then infiltrate the city. Follow any orders that are given or e-"
A man runs into the room, holding a letter in his hands.
"Sir, I have a letter for a Mr. Reveritt!" "I'm over 'ere," Cole said.
Cole took the letter and opened it carefully. He grabbed the paper and unfolded it.
Cole,
I am sorry to inform you, but you father has gone missing, probably kidnapped, and taken away from the hospital. All of our communications were detroyed, all of our security systems aren't functional, and the worst part is that this happened all over the nations.
Dr. Kevin Larinso Ph. D.
Cole stared at the letter, feeling pale and shocked. His face was sweaty, and his legs shaking. Cole slowly took the letter and crushed it up.
"Uh, what was it about, Cole?" Adam asked. "...nothing... sir," Cole said reluctantly. "Sir, can I go to my room?" "Okay, but you'll miss the plane taking us to Iellus." "If I went to Iellus now, I would probably die" Don't worry, I'll make sure the engineer doesn't eat all of the pie." "What?" the engineer yelled from his room. "It's hard work maintaining all of this equipment!"
***
"So, this technology you've developed, you kept it from the three nations why?" A man and an engineer were standing in a lab, looking over a sheet or paper. "I only use it for my purposes. I want the thought extracter finished in five hours." The engineer looked offended. "You don't think I'll finish it within the hour? You know I'm the best in my... line of work." The man, who was the man that hired the thugs to take Cole's father, smiled. "That's why I hired you."
***
Cole woke up, his phone ringing. Cole felt a shudder go down his spine, as he reached for the phone. He looked at the Caller-ID and saw it had incomplete date. "Hello?" Cole asked. "If you ever want to see you father again, come to Iellus City, or both of you will die." The caller hanged up, leaving Cole standing there, a surge of anger and misery shake through him.
***
Cole, wearing his uniform and holding a K-55 in one hand, his KS-7 in the other, jumped into the plane, taking off, just in time. He landed in the plane right before it took off.
"What made ya come?" one of the Golden Dragons asked. "It's personal," Cole answered, and sat down in a seat. "Cole," Adam said, "over here." Cole got up and walked towards the front of the plane. "Cole, I saw the letter you threw away," Adam said. "I'm sorry for his misfortune. If there is anything I can do to hel-." "Yeah," Cole cut off Adam. "There's something you can do alright. Get this plane to move faster." "What, is there a meeting you need to have at Iellus?" "Yes," Cole said. "Wait, is your father there or something?" Adam asked. "What about it?" Cole answered. "Normally, I would asked you to be more respectful. If your father is there, be warned. The people who took him probably want something in return for him." Cole loaded his pistol, and then put it in his holster. "I'll give them something alright."

03:35:57 Dec 10th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
Reynolds readied his new KA-25 and linked it with his power helmet. The plane soon landed at Kerait's base camp and Reynolds got off. The soldiers there had no power armor, and were truely in awe of Reynolds and the rest of the Black Dragons. Reynolds didn't pay attention as he walked through the camp and approached Colonel Trent. "Major Brian Reynolds, Commander of the Black Dragons, reporting for duty," said Reynolds. "About time you showed up," said Trent as he smoked his cigar, "We're about to launch the invasion of Grakno, and you guys and your power suits would do a good job at cleaning that place out." "That's not really what our speciality is, sir," said Reynolds. "I don't give a damn! Those things can survive three RPG hits! You guys are like walking tanks!" "I'd rather not overestimate this armor...even if it is the most advanced piece of technology in the world," said Reynolds. "Listen, their tanks are dead, their cars are dead, all they got left are guys with small arms and missile launchers, if you can't take those guys out, we've got a problem..." said Trent. "Sir...yes sir," said Reynolds. "Good, now, you've got an APC waiting for you, good luck," said Trent.
***
"Go! Go! Go!" yelled Reynolds as he got out of the APC. There were five APCs, all carrying Dragon Teams. All carrying the best soldiers in Kerait. If only Dak was here for this... Reynolds walked forward, and a sniper bullet flew forward. It hit his helmet and bounced off. Harkins lifted his sniper rifle and fired. With the helmet acting as a spotter, and his armor steadying his aim, the bullet found its mark. The sniper was killed. The Dragons ran into the city, the soldiers within screaming in terror as their weapons did nothing against the threat. One tried an RPG, but found that it did nothing more than scratch the power armor (and send the soldier in it to the ground). Ten minutes later, the battle for the city was over. Keraitian troops arrived moments later to secure the city, and Trent approached Reynolds. "I guess you UNDERestimated that power armor, eh?" said Trent with a chuckle. "Yes sir..." said Reynolds. "Well, good work. You just did what five hundred soldiers probably couldn't do back during the Olkun'ut war!" said Trent. Reynolds said nothing, he simply saluted and walked away.

22:30:23 Dec 10th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
The war went badly for Iellus after the invasion of Grakno. The Dragons, the Storm Riders, and part of the Keraitian Army had power armor, high tech equiptment and vehicles, and the best tacticians the world had ever seen. Iellus had decent tacticians, no power, and only small arms and missile launchers. Still, Iellus put up serious resistance, and it took one year for Kerait to finally win the war in the Battle of Iellus City. In the battle, Colonel Brian Reynolds led all of the seventy Dragons into the city, through the chaos, and into the Iellus Building. After a firefight on every floor, the Dragons reached the top of the building and captured Emperor Marcus Iellus. The war was over.
***
Septim stood before a crowd of Keraitians and even a few of the Olkun'ut that seemed endless. His name was chanted by the people, he was a hero. "People of Kerait, it's been one hundred and two years since the bombs fell, and at last the people who did this to us have been punished. Emperor Iellus has been executed for his attempted parasite infestation, and the world is once again safe! I now introduce President Hershu!" said Septim. President Hershu got up and walked to the podium while Septim walked away. "A century ago, we were bitter enemies, now we are great allies!" said Hershu with happiness. The crowd cheered again and Hershu went on with his speech. After about ten minutes, he ended his speech and backed away, Septim then walked back to the podium and gave out several Medals of Kerait. They were given to many people, including Brian Reynolds and most of the Dragons, a few of the Storm Riders, and quite a few normal members of the Army. He then gave the Star of Mar to many of the navy. After he was done, he turned to the crowd. "I have only kept my power for this long because it was the only way Iellus could be defeated. I am tired, tired after two long years of leading an Empire from the ashes. Now, I have decided to give the power to the people. From now on, Kerait will be a democracy! No more will you have dictators telling you how to live your lives! No more will we decide how your country should act!" said Septim. He then went on explaining how a democracy would work, and in the end, the people cheered louder than before. "Now. I would be honored to lead you once again as your President, do I have any opponents in my race?" asked Septim. Nobody came out, nobody spoke, there was silence. "Well, I guess I have four more years to go..." said Septim with a smile. The people cheered and Septim stepped down from the podium. The next day, voting booths were set up, at the end of the month, James Septim was elected the first President of Kerait.

22:40:42 Dec 10th 08 - Mr. Delran:
Derlan was putting on the uniform of a Iellusian officer. Around him some of his men were also wearing Iellusian uniforms. The ambush went well. A truck was put in the middle of the road in a forest. Around it 3 Riders dressed as civilians were pretending to try and fix in. An entire Centuria was hiding in the forest near the road. The Iellusian convoy came in sight and pull to stop in front of the truck. They offered their help to the "civilians", but as soon as every Iellusian got down from their vehicles they were shot down by traquiliser weapons. This was done not to damage the uniforms or stain them with blood.
****
The convoy approached the gates of MCLR. The guards there stopped them, but after seeing their documents they let them enter. The convoy went to the unloading area. There Delran asked to call Iellus City from the comand center. He took 2 men with him and he was taken there. After entering the command center, Delran made a small sign with his hand to his men. Imediately, they pulled their weapons and Delran his pistol and within seconds the only ones standing were Delran and the Riders. Meanwhile, two Riders went to the gate to "talk" with the guards. The gurds were stabbed or shot down by pistols with supressors. The Riders outside the MCLR stormed the base along with their comrades that infiltrated it. Within minutes the entire base was under the control of the Riders. Derlan than used the MCLR to contact Septim and ask what to do with the base. He also send a message to Major Reynolds that he had green light to Storm ISCC.

23:00:52 Dec 10th 08 - Prince Validus Septim II:
-One year earlier-
Septim was in his command chair. A radio call came in and he walked over to it. "It's the Storm Riders," said the radioman. "Storm Riders," said Septim, "Deactivate the base, blow it up, do whatever, make it unoperational."
-Present day-
The next four years for Septim proved to be easy. He kept negotiations with Olkun'ut friendly, he gave them schematics for tanks and vehicles as well, but he did not tell them the key to the power armor's power. After four years, he left office to be with his new wife, Catherine Septim, and his children, Alice and John Septim. A man named Greg Anderson was elected to the office. Anderson proved to be a terrible leader, he cut off communications with Olkun'ut, and even raided their cities a few times. He also appointed new people the positions of High General, Grand Admiral, and Air General, getting rid of Dark, Rell, and Xarxes (who were good at their jobs...very good). At the end of his term, Olkun'ut declared war after the massacre of a small Olkun'ut town. Out of patriotism, Septim decided to run for the office once again, and defeated Greg Anderson (who was running for re-election) in a landslide victory. Septim once again had a problem to deal with, and it was once again a war with Olkun'ut.
