20:26:29 Nov 17th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar: Erunion hears Verll screaming and saunters on back to the shacks. Seeing that Verll has the chest, Erunion takes the new axe and splits the yew trunk into several wedges, which he then sets to dry. "Verll, in a few days I should have a longbow or two for us. Can someone make up some bowstring? Shouldn't be too hard. Just entertwine three pieces of good string."
20:31:46 Nov 17th 07 - Sir Verll: "Good Good. Well done Erunion, well done. I will see about the strings. *looks up towards the sky and screams as high as he can "Almighty gamemaster, do we have some string around here, good strings!?!?!"
21:26:37 Nov 17th 07 - Mr. Killer: Killer jumps off the boat, annoyed. "ALL he had to do was post one more flipping time before he went off!" He takes one of the axes and cuts down a willow tree, bends it back and tests it. "Hmmm... this could be a servicable bow." He makes a bow out of the small tree, and then makes another from another nearby willow tree. He tears the sleeves off his shirt, and tears them into threads. He winds them around each other to make a good string for both the bows. He takes a nearby twig and shoots it out of the bow. It goes for around 50 meters(not bad... it is only a twig...) He starts making arrows(the wooden shaft part, I'll do the heads afterwards...) for the bow. I'll be damned if I'm getting wood for the construction workers that aren't there...

21:52:37 Nov 17th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar: Erunion looks over at Killer on the other beach. That bow will last maybe, five days at that power. Less if he keeps it strung. Very shoddy work, that. {Just an FYI, a good Yew longbow is effective at up to 500 metres, it is however, very inaccurate at that range. Good accurate range with a skilled bowman is 100 metres for a head sized target, and 200 for a body. I know how to make one properly, but the first few won't be up to full level of quality. I'm no master Bowyer...}

22:19:33 Nov 17th 07 - Mr. Killer: It's wet? From what? I meant a willow sapling, so I didn't have to cut it or anything, just a bit off the bottom and top. And the leaves...It didn't rain either, and I put it in one of the shacks when I was finished. Anyway, you got that yew from someone who cut through it with a bloody rock... And willows don't easily lose they're elasticity, they're pretty easy to bend back as saplings. And I meant bending it back to test it... Bending it back permanently would be pointless...

The roots draw water from the ground, and send it all throughout the tree... If you bend a branch that is still wet, it will retain part of that bend, as it slowly bends further and further, while it loses power and finally snaps.}
22:39:15 Nov 17th 07 - Mr. Kassius Son of Rome: Kassius walks over to a large sapling.....stares at it.....walks back to camp and pick up the axe.....cuts the sapling down and holds it up and the top end "look a weapon and it took bout 10 mins." tears many pieces of cloth and suchlike from the remainings scraps of clothes and fashions them all into a crude sling "and an amazing weapon with unlimited ammo"
