13:18:28 Jan 26th 08 - Mr. Vengence: actually, they should be. I will add most of them. so far I havent had time to do much, and I have a m8 coming ovr soon so cant do much for the rest of the day sos. but will do some now, hopefully I have time to finish the re-vamp
13:33:47 Jan 26th 08 - Mr. Vengence: Armies: Everyone starts with an army of five thousand men, with no particular abilities apart from basic fighting skills. This can be expanded however if debates are won. The reward for the debate winner will be decided upon when the debate is posted. Negotiations: You can reach agreements with other player’s to hep each other. To do this you must say how much of your army you will 'lend' out to help your ally whenever he requests it. Other things like this must be decided upon by the two people forming a alliance. Battles: For your battles, you must post in this thread what you do in the battle, and the opponent then says a move they do. Then all the others players, after a set amount of moves have been made decide amongst themselves who is the victor. Quests: To prove your worth, you may go on quests. To go on a quest you post that you want one, and then two to five quests to choose from will be presented to you. After you have completed the quest you get a bonus for your army. To complete the quest you must post how you complete the quest. If you tell the tale well and in a good role-playing style then you get the bonus. If not then you receive nothing The bonuses: The bonuses will vary greatly depending on how they are earned. It may be a new weapon, new armour or new troops, it could be anything. Even a tin of C.B Skill levels: You can up your own skill levels, and your armies. To up your armies costs five times as much as it would for you, since there are a lot of people in the armies. Skills are: 1) Morale: your soldiers fight better, as they are happier to be fighting 2) Cunning: allows you to steal for you and your troops. Stealing can be successful sometimes, sometimes not, but a higher skill level for this means that you have more chance of success. The larger the thing you steal the more chance of being caught 3) Reasoning: when you come back from quests you get a chance to get something added to the reward. Each level up gives a 5 percent chance of getting better rewards
Prices: Morale: Level one: 10 gold Level two: 20 gold Level three 30 gold And so on, apart from level ten, the best level, which costs 150 gold. Cunning: Each level up costs fifteen gold more than the last. Max levels fifteen. First level is only ten gold Reasoning: same as cunning Buildings: Below is a list of prices: Wall: 30 gold and 50 trees Fort: 50 gold and 60 trees Moat: 20 gold and 25 trees Houses: 15 gold and 30 tree. Only 30 trees after first home built Barracks: 35gold and 50 trees Farm: 15 gold and 15 trees. First one tales no wood Those are basic buildings. If you have a building you want to have other than those, please tell me and I will price them. Tree: To get tree you must travel and collect it. It will take you two hours to reach the tree, and you then get one tree per person every hour. So the more troops you take, the more trees you get an hour. You can send no more than fifteen men. They must be peasants Peasants: to get peasants you need farms and homes. Some of the bigger buildings you think of may have a food price too due to the huge amount of work the peasants have to do.
Thieving: Need something new? Maybe a particular weapon of another player has taken your fancy? Want it? Here is how to get it: 1) Post the fact that you are going to attack that player 2) Post how you steal it 3) Let the person being stolen from react 4) React again Continue like this reacting to each other, then after a while I will decide upon whether the item was stolen or not. if the thief is not successful, then they must hand over ten gold to the person they were going to steal from. if they get caught and do not have ten gold, then they die, as they are turned in and get hanged. Hostage taking: If you are looking for some extra money, or resources, a good way is to take a hostage. You can take hostage someone else’s general, that person themselves. To get them back, or free themselves, they must pay whatever fee the hostage taker wants To take a hostage use the same rules as for thieving. The market: In the market you can say things you would like, and I will set a price for them. Other players can also sell excess resources. On no account should you have an item without buying it
Blocks: To make a block, you must have 25 wood To make one, say the position and size. If it is a large block a small sum of gold may be required also, to pay the people who built it Timings: When you move to attack someone, it will take a certain amount of time to get there. To get to other peoples forts, you will have to travel for three days (one hour= one day) if you want to go to the market, you will travel one day. If you want to go to other places post that you want to and I will say how long it takes you. Some Rules for attacks: 1) Under no circumstances can you post how many of the opponents troops you kill, I will decide that. 2) If the person you attack does not reply within 48 hours, then the attacker wins. 3) Always wait for the opponent to post their reaction to yours before posting again. If you want to do something different then that is just tough. Side Quests As it can be hard to earn, there will be side quests continually on offer. They will not be hard. All of them have a reward of ten gold pieces. Your resources Please post your gold, tree and any other resources you may have bought with each post. That way it is possible to keep track of what everyone has, and therefore stop people cheating. Troops You can put your troops to any use, training, patrolling, building, anything. If you do not post their activities that means they are doing nothing (sleeping, or just sitting doing nothing), and are therefore vulnerable to attack Peasants each peasant pays 0.3 tax. One home is room for five peasants, and one farm supports ten peasants. If you don’t meet their requirement then they will move out. They serve no purpose other than to pay you tax The tax rate may seem low, but if you get a lot of peasants then that is a lot of gold. They pay taxes once every three weeks (one month). Which is 21 hours game time.

13:42:21 Jan 26th 08 - Mr. Vengence: Side quests: Wolf pack: a wolf pack has been sighted to the east, go and deal with them Thief: a thief has been roaming these lands, find him and brgin him to justice Village Fire: A fire has been started in a village. put it out, then find the one who started it Bear Trouble: A bear has been sighted. it has been eating sheep and other livestock. but now it has taken a human. find the bear, and kill it.
these are only a few side quests. I will add more at some point
| ||||
14:02:22 Jan 26th 08 - Mr. Wraithish: [Well done. I like the updated rules but you didn't mention how much gold we start with. =P] *Wraithish hears of the bear which killed a villager. He is extremely concerned about this and all his soldiers are to scared to kill this fearsome beast. He picks up his sword and wears his simple leather armour (I take it that is what we start with). He goes to the field where the bear was last seen. It is still there feasting on the flesh of the dead man and does not seem him coming up behind him. Wraithish slashes it with his simple sword but the bear hide is too thick to pierce. However he has attracted the bear's attention. Enraged, the bear turns around and growls at him. It then charges at him but Wraithish quickly moves out of the way and stabs it. The bear swipes at him but Wraithish quickly rolls out of the way and stabs its paw. This injures the bear and Wraithish stabs it again in the leg. The bear collapses in pain and Wraithish slashes at its face. This cuts deep into the bear and it roars in pain and anger. It gets up again and charges straight at him but Wraithish stabs the bear in the eye with all his might and the bear falls lifeless to the floor.* [Is that what we are supposed to do?]
18:01:08 Jan 26th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar: Erunion has his cavalry scout, 50 of his men defend his fifteen peasents cutting wood, and the rest of his army train.
20:51:52 Jan 26th 08 - Mr. Killer: Errr... sorry, are we starting again? And, do we get any peasants and houses and farms to start off? Sorry, I couldn't be bothered looking back over all the posts.
20:20:31 Jan 27th 08 - Mr. Vengence: its ok killer. and yes, we are starting, and no, you do not start with any homes or villagers. Erunion, read the rules properly. you have to travel for two days (one day = one hour) to reach the forest and start chopping wood. you get...say, 25 gold to start and wraithish, for the quest return to the village that the dead man lived in to get your reward.
20:30:31 Jan 27th 08 - Mr. Wraithish: [Ok thanks] *Wraithish beheads the skull of the bear and takes it to the village of the dead man. He shows it to the villagers and they repay him 10 gold coins(I think thats what you said). He then returns and orders his men to build a house and a farm. The villagers are then sent to cut wood.*
20:43:59 Jan 27th 08 - Mr. Vengence: [[yeah, ten gold per side quest]] Side quests: Wolf pack: a wolf pack has been sighted to the east, go and deal with them Thief: a thief has been roaming these lands, find him and brgin him to justice Village Fire: A fire has been started in a village. put it out, then find the one who started it The Message: A Important message must be delivered to the Baron who lives far to the east. there are fears that someone may attempt to intercept it, so a warrior is needed to deliver it
| ||||
13:39:13 Jan 29th 08 - Sir Vengence: umm...any wars, quests or something people want to do? no? I am running out of things you can debate about, you guys can choose a topic to debate on yourselves if you want, that way I dont have to organise everything for debates.
AND IM A SIR BTW! | ||||
18:07:44 Jan 29th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar: Sir Vengeance! Good job.
18:09:41 Jan 29th 08 - Sir Vengence: read the rules for getting lumber. no more than fifteen peasants. \I am saying this as I dont really want to have someone sending one thousand peasants ti get lumber. it would then, in effect, become worthless. if it is not as easy to get, it still holds value.
18:13:03 Jan 29th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar: I know that, I'm saying that fifteen of my peasants are doing nothing else... And if I have extra, they are on shift. I'm stockpiling wood here.
18:17:17 Jan 29th 08 - Sir Vengence: sure you can get fifteem [ezzies to stockpile wood. remember,cthey start getting wood aftter two days. (1day=1hour)
18:17:32 Jan 29th 08 - Mr. Killer: *Killer runs towards the baron, but then slows down and just walks onwards.*
18:27:33 Jan 29th 08 - Mr. Wraithish: *Wraithish orders the construction of 2 more Homes and 2 Farms. All the new peasants are sent to woodcut.* [I have 3 Homes and 3 Farms. 5 gold remaining.] [[You didnt tell us who won the last debate XD]]
18:34:02 Jan 29th 08 - Mr. Wraithish: [Can we do two side quests at the same time? i.e. deliver the message and wolf-pack side-quest together?]
18:45:46 Jan 29th 08 - Sir Vengence: [[No wriathish, only one at a time. and the winner of the last debate is..umm..ill go look at it and decide, lol]] EDIT: I remember now, I think Wrathish wins. mainly cuase Erunionm has won other debates before, and you were both evenly matched in that one I think. so wraithish gets it
19:17:13 Jan 29th 08 - Mr. Wraithish: [Sweet. Ok thanks. What did I win? =)] *A group of peasants intruded into his tent and start talking all at once. Wraithish silenced them all and asked one to speak. He learns that in the East, a wolf pack had been roaming freely killing cattle. Now they must be stopped before someone is injured. Wraithish put on his armour and his sword. As an after thought, he placed a dirk in a pouch in his boot and went to meet this threat. He roamed the Eastern praries for a while and saw the pack of wolves. They sniffed his blood in the air and look around for him. They raced towards him but one stumbled straight into his sword. 4 more wolves to go. Enraged at the slaying of their companion, they started snapping and biting at him. A quick slash felled another beast but the other four have circled him and they were functioning as a proper pack now. Wraithish dodged once, twice and stabbed a wolf behind the jaw and deftly beheaded it but a wolf behind him jumped and bit his shoulder. Wraithish swirled his sword around and stabbed the wolf in its chest but he was feeling weak and his wound was flowing freely. He had to finish the fight off quickly or else. The remaining wolf was scared now and was backing off slowly. Wraithish swung at it but it dodged. Wraithish swung again and again and it dodged and lunged at him but his left hand withdrew his dirk and killed it swiftly. He wrapped up his bandages and went back to the village for his reward.*
19:34:02 Jan 29th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar: So, I ordered my pezzys to go get wood two (human) days ago, so they should have a nice stockpile.
19:36:07 Jan 29th 08 - Mr. Killer: *Killer keeps on walking, and remembers he left the message behind. He goes backs and gets it, and heads towards the Baron's house. He races across a patch of land, getting tired after a while. After a long time of walking, he is tired. A man sneaks out at him from the bushes, wielding a large sword, made of iron. Killer dodges the blow, and grabs the man's hand holding the sword, while kneeing the man in tender parts. He slams the man down onto to the ground, and the sword is taken from his grasp, and Killer plunges it into the man, straight through his chest. He continues onwards towards the Baron.*
18:19:49 Feb 1st 08 - Sir Vengence: guys, I may not be able to do this for a while. look at my thread in the hangaround called big problems.
18:37:27 Feb 7th 08 - Sir Vengence: Well, this is a successful RP ive done, the best ive done in fact. Is everyone still interested in carrying this on, or not?
20:07:45 Feb 7th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar: Yup. I'm interested.
20:12:46 Feb 7th 08 - Mr. Wraith: Yeah me too
23:45:48 Feb 7th 08 - Mr. Killer: Suppose so.
13:41:37 Feb 8th 08 - Sir Vengence: Ok, well thats cool. I will make a sign up thread, will put you guys on the list. we could do with a couple more players.
15:02:55 Feb 11th 08 - Mr. Delran: *Delran looks at the lands in front of him. He has just arrived in these lands. His men are nothing but a bunch of farmers and mercenaries, armed with rudimentary weapons and armours, lacking military training but eager and following him, having all their hopes put on him. He finds a suitable location for his encampment: a rocky peninsula. The cliffs form a natural defense arround it, leaving a small pass for the link with the mainlands and oposite to it they leave an opening to the sea. There, Delran orders some of his men to build one house and one farm. He then sets up a patrol plan and dispatches 100 men to patrol the beach, 100 men to guard the pass and 300 men on 25 men squads to patrol the peninsula and the mainland close to it. The remainig men, arround 4400, he puts them to train at close-quarters fighting with whatever weapons they have. He orders most of his officers to take care of their training. While inspecting the peninsula with the rest of his officers, two of the soldiers guarding the pass bring a terrified peasant in front of them. "What is it with him?" "Sir, he came here, running, saying that there is a bear that threatens their village. It is eating their livestock and now, one villager has lost his life." "Is this true, man? Speak to me!" "Mm... mylord" said the peasant in terror "tth.. there is a bear out there, kk.. killing out cc... cattles aaa... and our sssh... sheeps. IIII.... cc...came hhh....here because I found out that sss...some w...warriors made camp. III wanted to enlist some help. Please help us. Last night, Joe the farmer lost his life while defending his cows! Please....!" "Very well! I shall help you! Captain Dark, take command of the camp while I am away! "Yes sir!" "You can go home, man. I will come to the village with the bears skin." Delran, leaves the camp only with his sword. He goes to the forest and looks for a young tree. He finds one with a diameter of 4 inches. He cuts it down with his sword. He adjustes it's lenght to 8 feet and sharpens one end, making a wooden spear. He then goes for the bear. After shearching the forest for three hours, he finds the dean of the bear. He leaves the spear at some distance, and starts making noise and throwing rock in the den. A roar is heared from the den and the bear comes out, angered. The bear dives toward Delran, but he manages to evade the bear and swing a hit on him. The hide of the bear is hard, and injuries are few, but this blow enrages the bear. He is now going for the kill. Delran runs to the spear and waits for the bears charge, when the bear is 15 feet away, he picks up the spear and points it towards the bear. The bear stops for a few seconds, looking at the fragile stick and the human holding it. The rises on his back legs. He is huge, a two meters high beast. This is the moment Delran was waiting. He puts the blunt end of the spear on the ground and the sharp end pointed to the heart of the bear. The bear come for him, and throws himself at the man in front of him, but the spear holds his weight and pierces his thick hide right in the heart. Delran jumps back a few hit to avoind being cought under the bear. The wooden spear is broken under the weight of the bear, but the bear is already dead. Delran skinnes the bear and heads for the village with the bears skinn. The villagers are happy to see him and thanks him for helping then.* [I await the results of the quest.]
15:29:07 Feb 11th 08 - Mr. Wraith: *Wraithish looks over his men. They are undisciplined but follow him anyway. He looks at the resources and tells them his plans... They get too work immediately. *
[Build 1 House and 1 Farm. When the peasents come (eventually) I want them to go cut wood. I have nothing left.]
17:52:49 Feb 11th 08 - Mr. Demonsul: [I'm going to try and pinpoint my key points to make this easier]
| ||||
10:56:09 Feb 12th 08 - Mr. Delran: *Delrans buildings are finished and the peasants are sent to cut wood (5 peasants). Along with them, Delran sends 50 soldiers to guard them and scout the area. The patrol duty is how it follows: - daylight patroll 500 men 100 at the beach 100 at the pass 300 on the peninsula and the mainland on 25 men groups - night watch 1000 men 100 at the beach 200 at the pass 500 on the peninsula 200 on the mainland There are 8 hours shifts on the guard and patroll duty. Also, Delran sends 100 men and one officer to the villages in the area for recruiting. [Vengeance, if I am not allowed to do this I will stop. If this is possible, tell me pls how many can I get to recruit per hour or per troops sent.] The rest of the men are training every day when they are not on duty. Resources: 10 gold from the side quest. [That if Vengeance doesn't want to add something else as a bonus.]
14:52:31 Feb 12th 08 - Mr. Killer: Build a house and farm, no resource left. *Killer orders his troops to watch around their camp, backed by a small river on the north and east sides, and all they have to do is watch. Killer sees all is well and settles down to go to sleep for a while.*
22:27:39 Feb 12th 08 - Mr. Wraith: *Wraithish surveys the land. To the West is a river. It is 100 metres wide, very deep in most parts and the current is too strong for boats. To the South and to the East are large mountains with only a tiny pass through. To the North is a large, dense forest where his peasants cut trees. He orders a small garrison of 100 soldiers to guard the South East pass and 150 to patrol along the Northern Jungle. He also gets 50 soldiers to patrol along the coast. The remaining soldiers spar with each other.* [I have; 145 wood 1.5 Gold. (0.3*5) Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think I am..]
13:57:49 Feb 13th 08 - Mr. Delran: *Delran orders another house to be built and after ther peasants will settle, he orders them to be sent in the forest after the first woodcutting party. The patroll and guard duty is the same, and so are the training orders.* [Vengeance, I still wait your reply in the quest issue and the recruitment one.]
14:01:00 Feb 13th 08 - Sir Alban: One of the villagers comes forward, and presents Delran with a small pouch. he upends it into delran's hand, revealing ten gold coins. 'this is our gift to you for helping us. thankyou for killing the bear' [[Delran, in case you hadnt noticed, I am no longer called vegeance]]
14:06:13 Feb 13th 08 - Mr. Delran: [Ooops! Sry. And can I recruit soldiers in my army, Sir Alban?]
14:17:31 Feb 13th 08 - Sir Alban II: [[You can 'earn' soldiers as a result of quests, large quests that I will occasionally make. also, if you want to, you can create a debate, then say what you want as the winners reward, and I will decide on the quantity.]]
14:20:22 Feb 13th 08 - Mr. Delran: [I wasn't taking about rewards. I want to know if I can send a recruiting party in a village.]
14:21:32 Feb 13th 08 - Sir Alban II: [[oh. well, at the moment you cant, but I could add it. I will think about it]]
14:31:11 Feb 13th 08 - Mr. Delran: [thank you] *Recruiting party is canceled*
14:45:49 Feb 14th 08 - Mr. Delran: *Delran orders another farm and 2 more houses to be built. Then orders the peasants to go get wood.* [Man, am I the only one left to play this RP?]
15:01:34 Feb 14th 08 - Mr. Wraith: [Now I have 345 wood and 3 Gold. Another pay check in 2 hours ^^] *Wraithish orders another 3 houses be built and the routine stays the same for the soldiers.* [Now I have (345-90=) 255 wood and 3 gold. P.s. where is Demonsul getting the money from?]
17:19:36 Feb 14th 08 - Mr. Demonsul: i dont know im waiting for something to happen
17:39:42 Feb 14th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar: My peasents, who now must have a very large amount of wood, get to work on building 3 farms and 10 houses.
17:40:02 Feb 14th 08 - Mr. Killer: *Killer orders the peasants to get wood.*
15:56:39 Feb 15th 08 - Mr. Delran: *Own buildings 2 farms 4 houses - 20 peasants. Delran orders one more farm and two houses to be built. The peasants are sent to gather wood. Guard and patrol duty remain the same. Training order stands.* [Alban, can I make wooden spears for my troops with all the wood I gathered? I doesn't take any skill to cut down a tree a sharpen one end. If I can tell me how much wood I need for all my troops.]
16:03:59 Feb 15th 08 - Sir Alban II: [Sure Delran. but you will need to get metal for the spear heads. go to the market and buy some. The cost would be twenty gold coins for enough metal for all spears, and 50 wood is needed for the wooden shafts.]
13:25:05 Feb 16th 08 - Mr. Delran: *Own buildings 3 farms 6 houses - 30 peasants. Delran orders 4 more houses to be built. The farms will be ordered tommorow. All orders issued for training and guard remain.* [Thanks Alban. And what will I need to build a wooden gate and a small wooden wall at the pass into the peninsula?] [Hey, only I am here? Besides me playing and Alban explainimg, I do not see anyone else. Come on guys!]
13:47:57 Feb 16th 08 - Mr. Wraith: *Builds; 6 Houses - 30 peasants (Total: 10) 4 Farms. (Total: 5) Sends 3 groups of 10 troops each to look around the area for foes and allies. The rest continue with their routine.*
14:05:34 Feb 16th 08 - Sir Egnever: Egnever gets word that there is around 10 men headed in his small village direction
