Its like we all forgot David Cameron said the best way to stop Asad was to supply ISIS and so we did. But obviously they were not very well known at the time. Terrorism isn't a new found phenomenon. It has become a lot less frequent in Europe and is still low in comparison to the last 40 years. But it has started to spike and its about half as bad as it ever was considering the last two years. I feel as there needs to be a new global approach. Also people laugh at Corbyn's obvious thought that the invasion of Iraq and Libya did not help the situation. To put two and two together, if Gaddafi was still in Libya due to our intervention. ISIS would not have been there and he wouldn't have met them. Same goes for the fact that he went to Syria, If we didn't provide ISIS with such means, they wouldn't have killed off and have become more powerful then the rest of the Syrian fighting factions. If its to Iraq if we didnt Invade for a false non existent reason other then profit. We would have never split the country into sectarian violence and we wouldn't imagine people would rather join ISIS then the Iraqi Shia government. I think for policy its best to stay away from those kind of conflicts and have no part to play. It is something for the Arab world to figure out and correct. We have already created enough of a power vacuum to let such extreme group exist. Everyone funds terrorism Uwer in their own way some logistically, some facilitate the environment, some ideologically, some with the culprits But not everyone straps themselves with explosives at a little girls concert. So its obvious the guys who commit these crimes are the reason more innocent people lose their life. Now I just hope the burden on the hearts of those bereaved by those actions is lightened. That in the future we approach such a difficult problem in a smarter way that will yield answers. About Isis, I read (or saw... maybe) somewhere that the original organization was bankrolled by the Saudis and the Emirates to wage a war in Shia controlled Syria in order to install a Sunni government there. The installation of a Sunni government would allow the installation of an oil (or was it gas) pipeline controlled by the Saudis / Emirates. And more importantly, it would prevent the installation of a pipeline originating from Iran, the mortal enemy of Saudi Wahhabism and of the Sunni section of Islam. Of course, when you establish such a nebulous, self-centered organization, it tends to run out of control when its leaders think they smarter and more correct than the rest of mankind. Hence, as Bling said, they (Isis) attacked everyone, even their own fellow Sunni countries (Turkey, Jordan, etc.). Heck, I think if one looks at the real statistics of this war, the biggest casualties would be the moderate Sunnis who refused to follow the leads of these crazy fundamentalists. Meh, from my point of view, and from my very limited perspective, this whole thing was a mess originally engineered by the Americans. They thought a divided Middle East / North Afria would be easy to control, and hence destroyed Iraq and Libya, and played off the Sunnis against the Shia. But these shit is coming to bite them (and their allies) back in the ass. A brainwashed mindset has no borders! The only major power that would emerge relatively safe from this quagmire are the Chinese. As a country that has gone through so many civil wars in their several thousand years history, I think its current leaders must be shaking their heads with disdain, contempt and pity at what is happening in that part of the world and the folks who originally caused it.
