This is going to be a chaotic OOP WAR.

3 of the 4 kingdoms on this world are all spawned in the same location. 

What alliances will be formed And who will betray who.... only time will tell.

there are no game mechanics for alliances and Wars.

Alliances are worked out between players/kingdoms and the terms agreed upon.

you are more than welcome to declare war on someone vocally but there is no need if you attack someone you will find yourself at war.

ok by that I think you mean on this world....  my guess is about 15-20.

This is true. but mainly because we were 2 largest KDs

Candy land seems to just stop playing. 

And their leader responded with giberish when I wrote to him.  I tried to make sense of what he was saying, to no avail.

Easy on you..... I will use kid gloves..... with just a few spikes.... lol

I am only using a single army right now and have one army in reserve...

And most of my troops are gaia and MUs

Ashrak is fairly new himself and is doing quite well it is true.

And we gave Fires of Valhalla a nap till Tuesday as some of your people are military and on a mission at the moment. And we did not want them to return to no cities left. so we are mainly concentrating on BANG at the moment.

So farm up and be ready come Tuesday.

Midgard is a fun place to be.

And anything you need I will do my best to provide...

We had one inactive who was kicked and one that went rogue but is too small for us to take out.

Bah I have gone inactive because of school. I will give Dragon his win until next era.

I can see why this game has so much trouble retaining new players. Not only is this a complex and dynamic strategy game, but there is no tutorial and the guides on forum are either outdated or are missing key information for new players. On top of that, the in game guides are unresponsive to my PMs but do not hesitate cleaning me out with an army of Nazguls. What is the point of having a guide if they won't share information or walk you through the steps of being successful? I do not think an "after the era discussion" will help very much. We had to create our own kingdom because there were no others to join. All I all I'd say we did extremely well for how much inexperience we have and the different time zones our members are in.

I expected to lose this Midgard era, but also wanted to get some useful tutoring about how to play the game. At most, I had to learn valuable lessons on what not to do on my own, while dealing with immature PMs to my wife's account from the neo-nazis (SOL) and 23pilots who is so hellbent on "winning the era" that he'll probably carve a trophy out of a cereal box when this is over.

Not a great first experience, but luckily I have good friends in my kingdom and I'll continue the play the game and learn on my own.

Yes I understand that it takes a lot of time and effort explaining certain aspects of this game. I am fortunate enough to be in the Forsaken KD on Zeta who has some very patient and helpful members that will spend an hour or more in the chat box answering my lame questions.

Right now FOV is in the lead. But believe me when I say that this really is anyones era.  Everyone is doing quite well over all. 

FOV - is making a great run for victory.

Ashrak - has fallen behind.

Bang - is starting to make a comeback

SOLS - has been stagnant to some degree but they are just now coming alive. I expect to see a lot from them soon.


And I would like to say to everyone playing that the over all atmosphere has been friendly competition with only a couple misunderstandings among the players.  This is what VU is all about.  Having fun and making friends.... Oh yeah and killing each other... lol

ROF kills a percent of the troops.  So use it against a large army of expensive troops.  

the very best combo for offensive is easy and a no brainer.... lol


FREEZE then ROF.

my favorite defensive spell is teleport.

The key to magic is to combine it with your military allies.   This type close coordination requires good communication.

Right before your ally (who has maxed his military science)  hits the enemy, cast bless and happiness on your ally. Cast dispel magic on the enemy army, then  Cast Anger, possibly multiple times, on the enemy.   Cast AOTD on your ally after the battle if your ally has expensive troops and no cheap troops.

Cast Crush Walls when your ally is mostly prepped (ie: past the wall penalty).

Cast Army of the Dead on an allies city in the middle of enemy territory to get a free temporary army to wreak additional havoc.
