With a hint of gold,
Burning in the night sky,
For all to behold.

Flying high,
With dew drops in her hair,
So soon to the end,
With an offspring to bear.

A burst of flame,
And that"s her end,
A single offspring,
With her matters to attend.

Three Centuries pass,
The cycle repeats,
The offspring, itself,
Glory cannot defeat.

To be born
And to die
A thousand times over
To remember every existence
Every mistake,
Every pain.

Everyone you know dies,
Within less than a third of your long life,
They say immortality is priceless.
Is it worth it?

Your tears heal,
But do they know of your pain,
The immovable suffering.

To feel fires warm release,
Only to be born again into a younger body,
Every three hundred years this vicious cycle repeats.

Who created this cruel cycle,
For such a beautiful creature?
Why would they want to cause,
This helplessness?

Born into flames and to die in them.
Just to be born again and again.
A curse for such a creature
To live alone forever and ever.
Never to be at peace
The curse of the phoenix is unseen.
