| 05:18:50 Apr 21st 08 - Mr. Panic II: There is something I need to get off my chest. I am sick and tired of people switching KDs when they fall on the smallest bit of bad times. Have some self-respect people. I've seen it on Zeta far too many times to sit quietly any more. I wont name people individually, but you know who you are. Has noone any honor? Both the individual and the KD's that acecpt them are responsible. I believe you should join a KD for the goal of propelling them to becoming the best they can be. You stick to it until they are completely eliminated or the era ends. Some kd switching early on is acceptable (barely), but at this point in time it should not be aloud. Since Im ranting, let me add this: it pisses me off when people leave kd's becuase the are losing and go on independent killing sprees against people they were formerly allied with. I mean, WTF. Its coming close to ruining the game. One more thing, perhaps the wrong forum, but whatever. There should be a point system for KD similar to the system that gives out titles to players. KD that exist for long periods of time, or that are recognized by other kd's as being honest and fair should be praised for their effort. It could even add a good/evil dynamic to the game. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| 07:38:14 Apr 21st 08 - Mr. Diomedes: I agree it happens mainly on lower worlds a few do it on Fantasia but they usually creat new accounts so no one realizes who they are when they are accepted but for the most pasrt the Fantasia kingdoms are players who know each other and have been playing for a while. It all comes down to the vices and leaders in who they accept. When starting a kingdom you have to get a good number to be competitive sometimes so you accept ones you don't know. But for most part when kingdoms are created it is with a core of players already determined. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Join a big kingdom to be protected, which is understandable, going it alone just doesnt work. So when the *beep* hits the fan, they are looking for a way out, they have no allegences in their kingdom, chances are in the lower worlds, people are playing to protect themselves, so when an enemy attacks, kingdom members dont come to their aid, they are on their own. So the only way to survive is to change flags. Cant say i blame people for doing this, i just find it hard to believe that kingdoms are so willing to take new members. If they re willing to leave their original kingdom so quickly, what loyalty would they show their new kingdom. The problem with the lower worlds is their are too many small groups of 7-8 friends who are good players trying to make a good kingdom work. what they dont realize is the beginning of the age is all about numbers, how many people are in your kingdom, regardless of how good these players are. 25 *beep*s can take down 8 elite players, just because of the shear number of troops they have. Each of these groups has their Leader, and are not willing to follow orders from another, what needs to happen is two kingdoms who are good players need to join forces to create one larger kingdom. but people are unwilling to give. they want their leader to remain leader. From what ive seen, Leaders are what is keeping this from happening. they want to keep their position of power and are just not willing to give that up. again its understandable, you get used to being in that position and it would be hard to give it up, but will that help out in the long run, probably not. ok ive ramble on long enough. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Ive seen it last era with Wolf/Destiny and even within the KD I was in (TA). Even when I disagreed with my leaders last era, I stayed behind my kd (by this I mean, if you dont start at the exact start of the era you will get killed OOP) and I've talked to people there who have lost interest in the game because of it. I am considering moving from Zeta to Mant, but I like the KD I am in now and will probably stick with them. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| 18:58:05 Apr 25th 08 - Mr. Kevdwayne: I would like to put my 2 cents in on this. VU is a game but, often it reflects RL and the condition/ attitude of Society as a whole. I think the lack of commitment and loyalty in the game is a sad commentary of what is happening in the world today. Everyone (with exceptions of course) wants what they want NOW! and if they do not get it they lose patience and go some place else. Speaking as the leader of one of the best groups of people in VU (yes, I am prejudiced) I can say that we don't have the problem of KD hopping, at least not from our KD though we do get requests from others wanting to hop into our KD and those we refuse. It is difficult to make alliances not knowing when another KD may be disbanded because a Vice kicks all of the members or they are ineffective because of internal bickering. If everyone (or even a majority) had the same attitude as Mr Panic this game would be much more enjoyable and exciting to play as the KD's would be stronger and hence more worthy foes. Just my 2 cents. | ||||||||||||||||||||

I switch b/c i like to meet new people and fight against different players. I switch KDs b/c i may not wont to go to a world they are going to and so on. | ||||||||||||||||||||

me, iv kingdom hopped a few eras but this one i actully stayed with THC almost the whole way besides the begging part of the game where my kingdom AAA failed in protecting me to cast ROF | ||||||||||||||||||||

But sooner or later these players will find joining a empire very hard as most empires are building for long term playing not just 1-2 eras , speaking for myself i started with Silicon Knights then at the end of that era a few members decided that they where not ready to head to the big boys yet so started ROC and headed to Zeta, im glad i joined ROC because there was no way i was ready and needed a few more eras to get exp. We have been lucky as we have built a great core of players who have the same goal teamwork , friendship , and most of all FUN. So to all u Kingdom jumpers stop find a kingdom u like and stick with them no matter what , because the benefits in the long run are woth the sacrifice... | ||||||||||||||||||||
