20:51:51 Apr 4th 08 - Sir Evans: "I had 2 income citie, and an armory set up with a 10k army of lvl 2 with humans"
20:53:21 Apr 4th 08 - Sir Sausage Roll: Yer lol
21:06:38 Apr 4th 08 - Mr. Dolfyn: 2.6 millions of gold there ... hmmm ... a bit way too high for an normal OOP time. During the era the OOP time increases but still .. if there was lvl 1 in question maybe ... but the cost of feeding those 10k swordsmen would be colosal at that early income. Ofc, with some BT`s bought ...... but shush! that would be our little secret .. :D
21:25:32 Apr 4th 08 - Mr. William The Evil One: times havent changed. if you have commen sense you can play a long time posibbly the entire era without joining a kingdom. But if you are stupid enough when you are a new player to take on the entire Map instead of making allies well then you deserve to die. Those who think they deserve a break because they just got oop then they need a wake up call. I had 2 income citie, and an armory set up with a 10k army of lvl 2 with humans when i got oop in era 29 and it was my first time. so no one has the right to complain about getting attacked oop if you make enemies and your dumb enough not to train soldiers. without soldiers you will die, commen sense people
sorry to give you a wake up call.. but then you need at least 150H before going OOP
21:49:17 Apr 4th 08 - Sir Gilgamash Leich: 10,000 troops isn't too far fetched if you come in at the right time... right when StG happens, and you buy 300,000 gold in stone for .3 each and sell back at .85 thats like 140% profit! so you'd have 850,000 then do it again at .46 ->.86 = 1,589,130 gold to start on, and build 1 mine, 1 armory.. that leaves you about 1.2 M in gold to train with, archers are ~260 each 1.2M/260 = 4615 archers. just, the 5 day wait ti start, sets you way back, and the guys who started before you, will have 15,000 troops... its not impossible to OOP with 10k. its just not smart. ;-)
21:51:53 Apr 4th 08 - Sir Sausage Roll: Lol, he said it was his first era He proberly didnt even know what StG was!
22:11:59 Apr 4th 08 - Mr. Durza The Wolfen Avenger: I agree with donut, the game is being ruined for new players, as a result we don't get many. Possible solutions could be- A new players world only, none of us regulars may join. This would be like the wold after the tutorial for new players. You have to spend like week their, where no kingdoms can be made or something, so that no-one can get to powerful. Then when the new player is finished their, he will have to join a kingdom before he can start up on a proper world.
22:26:27 Apr 4th 08 - Sir Gilgamash Leich: might run even more players off than help... I dunno, might be an "optional" thing for new players to try.... and only avail to new players...
shrug... | ||||
22:48:11 Apr 4th 08 - Mr. Durza The Wolfen Avenger: Ye tis only meant for new players, wouldn't scare them off, because them gettin owned straight away makes sure of that.
23:31:49 Apr 4th 08 - The Architect: To play off or Durza's suggestion, it would also be good if a few vets were allowed to play the new world ONLY to teach the new players, with something in place to keep the vets from killing all the new players. The vet's role in the world would be only to answer questions and such, help people get situated, that and farm himself to death. This game has alot of subtle things to it that are very hard to pick up on your own without a more experienced player at your side.
23:33:33 Apr 4th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar: Or we could have four pre-set kd's on the map, commanded by four vet's (who would have a second account) who stay the entire era in protection (They would be hand-picked by ZeTa from a pool of volunteers, and would be discouraged from doing building anything). They wouldn't effect the gameplay, but would be there to give advice.
23:51:55 Apr 4th 08 - Sir Sausage Roll: Lol, that would be funny An all out newb war with Sloth sitting there in a rocking chair with a nervous twitch resiting 'Rainbows everywhere' under his breath
14:47:52 Apr 5th 08 - Mr. Durza The Wolfen Avenger: That would actually be a good idea.
18:50:51 Apr 5th 08 - Mr. Qirsi: so.. this is in no way political...
