Still laughing over that picture. Funny how that jump never got used and the army prepping on Brasta did take it, letting in even more. (btw, thats our wall anyway and the land to the south, zeon is north. lol) The rest were coming from the south where we broke through Music's blocker, not river jumps so get your facts straight before you call us "Dishonorable".

As far as the one that you say ""Carnage though scoutjumped us and contributed to us not being able to strenghten Next as much as we could've."".

That was a matter of a few hours before DB broke through your blocker so it really made no difference at all in how strong it was.

All in all, it was a good fight and a few more to come i'm sure before your all totaly gone.

Yarlin: I was talking about Lithlego's scoutjump by Medis taking several colonies causing quite a bit of havoc! Now those are facts, and as Shyers said: Halfers are deadly. Nothing dishonorable, just really smart, greedy and really sneaky.

I would have *hoped* that Carnage would play honorably.  Zeta clearly didn't INTENT for river-jumping via scouts.  That would mean it wasn't supposed to be any sort of strategy or tactic.

It's in the freaking FAQ's.  Go read them yourself, its not a dishonorable thing, its tactics.  You've been able to jump ever since I can remember, wich is a ways back.  People have always used it, others have complained, and if it were a problem Zeta would have fixed it by now.  It's simple to keep it from happening, you just need to pay attention.

DB used scout jumping but so did Carnage.I didn't know how to do it and I watched them do it.I couldn't believe it (I haven't played for so long) and so I tried, to see if it was possible.I even posted in our forum explaining how to do it.Then I discovered it was well known by players with more experience than me.I don't know if it's acceptable or not.I asked the question earlier.

Scout jumping is not the reason of our defeat, it  may have helped them, but no more.In my opinion, we lost because DB and Carnage were stronger and better.

first you get a human to wheel a large catapult army over to a river.
next you load scout into catapult
then you press the launch button and direct your scout toward said river
if your lucky and your scout makes it over the river and lives, you have succefully scout jumped

Nah shyers u got it all wrong, u need to go next to a forest and river and press the button to cut down the tree, the tree will fall across the river and u may pass.

thats the second way... mines the easiest, of course there is always the old outfitting your troops with po-go sticks trick and getting them to bounce over the river.

That didnt worked out too well for me : ( , noone of my scouts wanted to be catapulted. Anyway if you are an orc you can just scout fly over the river with nazguls right?

no no, orcs are highly allergic to baths, and rivers are almost like them... when you get in them i mean. so the need to keep a 500ft radius between them and the water, however they can only fly 600 ft in the air, now, you'd think that would be ok, but at 450ft in the air the poor eye sight of the nazgul, leaves them blind to the landmarks of the earth, so they get lost.... so in answer to your question, no, as a rule, nazgul don't fly across rivers, good idea though.

Riverjumping

If someone used a scout to river jump, please go to the "Bugs and Errors" forum and post the details with a pic of the exact area where the riverjump occured.

Riverjumping via scout merge is a tactic that Zeta has tried to reduce in the past, first by reducing the merge distance drastically and second by making it harder to approach rivers at key scout-merge locations.

If it is still possible then the best thing to do is post the location with a pic in the Bugs and Errors forum and possibly he will look at it after the era is over. And if not, well, at least everyone is aware of it.

As for attacking a large city on a river, well, just don't build there :-) The food sucks anyway.

Np Messiah, i was just refering to the pic of the assumed jump area. Besides, the 2 units in that pic are to far apart for a merge to jump in the first place. =)

As it looks, your one of the last men standing trying to take/burn my shiny city. Hows the Moral looken? =P
