most boring era ever
01:29:06 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Donald Merwin Elbert:

Womens beach volleyball is mesmerizing. Seriously. How can you compare that to watching muscle-bound men in spandex?

01:29:46 Nov 30th 07 - Crazy Xuaron:

lol why dont we all just leave our KD's and attack every one LOL last one standing is the winner :P

01:30:41 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Homers Favourite:

Decided you're right, Soccer.  This game is boring now.  Killed what troops I can, first-come on my towns. Laters ;-)

While I do agree with you Alan.  You don't seam to realize that the Couch pretty much drills them into there heads about what to do. 99% of all plays are made by the couch. They just follow it through.

thats balogna. have u EVER watched football??!?!?!! (american)

the play is made BEFORE any activity starts. the OTHER team also makes a play. more often than not, the opposing team's play interrupts yours. how rarely does a textbook play actually occur................. only once for every touchdown, if not less. some touchdowns can be luck ;)

the skill involved in football is CLEARLY physicality, along with athleticism!!!! have u EVER watched Chad johnson, TO, or Randy Moss play?!?! they have huge mouths, yet can catch just about everything thrown at them! using speed, height, and strong hands, they rack up receiving yards, touchdowns, and receptions. football in 90% what the PLAYERS do, hence why some of them make more money than others.

01:37:47 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Sigheart:

Yes I have. All the play's are created beforehand by the couch.

01:45:26 Nov 30th 07 - Lady Lacewing:

American Football and soccer/football are two unlike sports.  It's impossible to say which is "better."

Yes, soccer/football is more famous worldwide and American Football is most famous in America.  So it's viewed different regionally, and undoubtedly culurally.

02:24:24 Nov 30th 07 - Duke Epyon:

psst! Swifty!!! can I fight Soccer??? :D

03:04:06 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Allan:

Im aware that Britain did not colonise many of those countries, but because of India, the sport spread through Asia, as for Europe, England played Football games against other countries in Europe. And those countries colonized South America.

I am not Ignorant of Football I like it as well. Although I favor Gridiron (and yess i know that it is also called Gridiron) as a better sport (in my opinion) than Football.

Yes I've heard and seen rugby before. You are correct, Rugby is indeed a much more popular sport than Gridiron, but popularity isn't anything.

Lastly, Gridiron is not about whether or not a man makes more, or harder tackles, is not about one man at all, Gridiron was meant to be played as a team sport, if one fails they all fail, so you must strive for your TEAM to get better.

03:50:13 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Atreides:

What does this have to do with why the era is boring?

04:15:23 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Killstone:

because soccer was trying to fight people and his name is soccer so we started talking about soccer and whcih was better soccer or american football (aka footbaal the good one)

04:29:49 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Xiax:

Can you not find the era boring when this is what people are reduced to talking about?

05:02:19 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Gothrim:

Soccerfreedom wrote: well, as "soccer" is an american word.

Can't be so. Football has also been known as soccer in my country since before anyone in America likely knew what it was. Peculiarly enough, the upper-crust schools call it soccer (though they tend to play rugby) and the rest call it football. "Soccer" is most probably a Brit word from 19th Century or so.

And to answer some other points, if you asked ordinary people here what "gridiron" is, they likely wouldn't know. American football is unheard of outside America.

Yes I have. All the play's are created beforehand by the couch

yet the plays the coAches pick are never played how the textbook shows them. yes, the receiver may have a designated route, that the COACH picked, but when the defense decides to blitz, the reciever will RARELY have time/ability to run that route and wait for a pass. the coach picks a guideline for a play, the PLAYERS actually decide the play. its clear u havent played the game, as  i have. without good players, there are no good coaches.

curious, where are u from? also, he figured i was british. british call the sport football. since americans are the only ones i know of that commonly call it soccer, that is where my response came from ;)

06:22:47 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Sigheart:

[Sarcasm]*Gasp* You've found out my horrible secret[Sarcasm], I've never played Football(American) and only played Football/Soccer.

Also can we get a name change for&nb*beep*erican Football or Football/Soccer because half the time I don't know which sport people are talking about and it's really annoying to write American and Soccer so people know what I'm talking about.

06:37:47 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Sorra:

Soccers a good sport to

15:24:47 Nov 30th 07 - Sir Patton:

Women's tennis is almost better than women's vollyball. Especially if you get a screamer/moaner/whatever whenever they hit the tennis ball.

16:08:17 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Soccerfreedom:

fiz, u forgot that volleyball includes fine spandez on dem @sses! nothing compares............

20:53:04 Nov 30th 07 - Khan Tinkywinky:

No, no, it's only beach volleyball ladys' azzos, that are worth watchin. Normal volleyball ladies @sses are biiiig

20:56:35 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Soccerfreedom:

khan, we are talking about WOMEN'S volleyball. those big @sses ur seeing are from when u watch the men's games! :)

21:05:56 Nov 30th 07 - Sir Patton:

Two points:

One: Have you EVER seen a big @$$ on a women's tennis player?

Two: Two words: 'Tennis Skirts' (Bonus points for when they forget the part underneath. Ah, to be back in High School tennis again...)

21:17:45 Nov 30th 07 - Sir Patton:

I want to make a retraction on a previous statement. One of the girls on my High School tennis team had a HUGE @$$, as well as saddlebags and the whole nine yards.

It almost destroyed my warm and fuzzy memories of my tennis days. Then I think of the girls in their getups serving me and the other co-captain breakfast in bed. Good times.

22:56:46 Nov 30th 07 - Mr. Allan:

Nice, Lmao

11:50:57 Dec 1st 07 - Khan Tinkywinky:

Number one fantasy: Serena Williams in her black leather (even spiked?) tennis cloethes... Now that is a huge äss, still, nice to think about her serving the breakfast for Patton :)

14:44:46 Dec 1st 07 - Sir Patton:

;Unlike Sir Mixalot, I don''t like big butts. Gimme someone else.

14:59:17 Dec 1st 07 - Mr. Revenge:

"I like big buts and i cannot lie, i truely cannot deny "

I like a bum, where you can see it click at the sides when they walk almost

Thats a hot bum ;)

18:21:49 Dec 1st 07 - Sir Archias:

soccer is weaksauce compared to "american" (real) football

18:35:27 Dec 1st 07 - Mr. Aligreat Owning Banehallow:

Both are pansy sports.

Footballers prance about a pitch then fall over at any contact.

American Footballers are 90% made of pads

Rubgy....apart from a scrum hat theres no padding.

19:47:57 Dec 1st 07 - Mr. Willem Hendrick:

jeay i agree, rugby is 10000x harder then american footbal.and way more fun.

20:37:52 Dec 1st 07 - Sir Griffith:

lol i would like to see you take a hit from a 6-5 350 pound guy of pure muscle without pads... im sorry players in the NFL can compete in rugby but rugby players would get demolished in the NFL

20:54:52 Dec 1st 07 - Mr. Aligreat Owning Banehallow:

hah!

most NFL players would end up getting injured cus they cant take a hit without pads.

If you put NFL players in a rugby game without pads they may have the athleticism to compete but they wud go down all the time injured.

Do american footballers play on with broken noses and dislocated shoulders without pads.

I personally have played on with a broken nose, yea it hurt like hell. But rugby players are just mentally tougher. I just gotta dislocate my shoulder to see if im hard enough to play on with that.

Im 6 ' 4 but only weigh about 190 pounds according to the online convertor and i aint muscly. So that leads me to believe the guys who actually are well built that i have tackled wud be around 250 pounds.

I admit it hurt like hell when i connected with him, but i wudnt wear pads just to take him down.

Yes you said 350 pounds, well im not even 18 yet, so by the time im 20 i wud like to think i cud have a decent chance at taking down someone that size

21:03:25 Dec 1st 07 - Mr. Soccerfreedom:

i think most players in most contact sports play with broken noses.................. i know many people that just keep playing, myself included.

if u watch the hits in football, they are much harder than in rugby, i have actively watched both sports.

plus, in football, many hits (for WR) are blindsided, and u still have to hold on to the ball!

21:10:20 Dec 1st 07 - Mr. Big:

90% pads?
makes sense, I weigh 265 without my pads and about 290 with them, thats about 9% pads, did you just forget how to move the decimal...

and you're ridiculous if you think you could take down a RB even at the collegiate level

23:43:35 Dec 1st 07 - Mr. Legend:

rugby is for the reject football players lol

00:21:12 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Sun:

sir griffith, have you watched berserk.

00:50:40 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Sorra:

violence dosent make the sport.

If you want violence, go get in a street fight with some gang

09:34:21 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Trogor:

Okay first off, American football requiers more strength and skill to play then soccer nad rugby. We wear pads because of the hits and to not get hurt and play most of the season. Second, Legend your cool. Third, Sorra shut up, violience is awesome.

09:40:10 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Sorra:

Please remind me the last time you went and fought a gang. Thats REAL violence for ya. Not this, OMG I get hit down and the play stops, take a 1min brake and start again.

Like i sad, if you want violence, sensless violence, find a gang.

Football =You bigger you win.

lol how much skill do you need to run with a ball and dodge ppl who are trying to get the ball.

amercian football and rugby are similar and they are both violent sports

football is not violent but it does apperently require alot of skill even though they are just kicking a ball around

09:50:56 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Trogor:

You actualy need a lot of skill to dodge multiple people and when they do get you, to stay on your feet. Soccer is for panzies, but girl soccer at my school is fun to watch  lol

ps. patton your the man

10:59:20 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Durza II:

football (soccer) aint for panzies, it's obvious you've never played school football, or heck even a bit of league stuff. It can be alot more hysical than you think. It's much more skillfull than rugby or american football, have you watched a game played by brazilians??? ffs that is skill.

11:14:46 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Ridukuluz:

that's why i like chess.  no violence.

11:31:58 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Revenge:

haha

15:06:01 Dec 2nd 07 - Sir Patton:

Alright, for all those people who think that all football players are wusses, I have two words:

Tim Tebow.

If that kid can play through an entire half with an unbandaged broken hand (and has played the through injuries this whole season) and can still rack up the numbers he's made this season, he deserves the Heisman.

15:53:01 Dec 2nd 07 - Duke Epyon:

Soccer, fight me! I will cast thy magic upon thee! :)

16:33:10 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Titty Titty Bang Bang:

Playing injured isn't necessarily a sign of toughness Patton; just lack of depth in your team.

A real sport (tough, fast paced, exciting and very skillful): http://youtube.com/watch?v=TiGoqObb0YQ

16:51:05 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Moe Lester:

Those AFL players have got chicken-stick legs and arms, Jet. Still, props for the lack of padding, but it changez nothing:

Rugby > Aussie Rules Football > American Football

In terms of enjoyment, excitement, stamina, physicality, manliness, etc.

23:28:27 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Trogor:

Not really. I dont call huddleing in a circle exiciting, physical or manly. American football is better and you just dont want to admit it. Also i have played soccer and it sucks. The only "talent" it requiers you to do is kick a ball around all talented like. Catching a ball in midair while getting drilled and landing with it is a skill to me.

23:48:04 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Arch Shade:

Mr. Sun - I have.  Actually we are getting a snow storm monday.  My g/f and I are going to watch the entire series at home.  I LOVE Berserk..

23:54:27 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Sigheart:

Arch Shade, I'm getting hit by the same snow storm to and were getting out of school to!!! Also Berserk was an awesome show.

23:58:30 Dec 2nd 07 - Mr. Plague:

i got hit with the snow storm last night i just hope i have no school tomorrow
