I'm curious why you had warehouses in a city that was in such close proximity to us?

this isn't the first time I've seen it, so I'm beginning to wonder if they have any other use other than StG?

Resources are stored locally in mines/lumbermills/farms warehouses, by having X warehouses in a city you can force yourself to store the vast majority of your resources in that city. I wanted to store all of my resources in 'Monster' as opposed to 'botched start' because I never intended to lose the city and botched my start anyways.

I was (an still am) confident that it's not possible to lose a single city (assuming you only defend one) as a Halfling or Human if the person playing the race is competent, therefore it doesn't matter if I have warehouses in the city because I should never lose it if I play correctly. Sometimes you cannot defend a city due to sheer number of attacks but only 5~ players attacked me (manageable) so I could have razed if I thought I was going to lose the city. I intended to raze 'Botched Start' eventually as well as the lumbermills in Monster and didn't want to potentially lose all of my tree (which is stored locally in lumbermills and warehouses) to a plunder on the partially razed 'Botched Start'. This never happened because I kept my swordsmen in low morale homes and didnt pick up military science before sleeping thus they had about 1/4 of the power they should have had. I also didn't spend my 35 million gold or 80k~ slaves, but to be fair I didn't intend to do that anyways.

Overall I had a botched start and tried to do something that wasn't a very good idea, then executed poorly by making a handful of 'new player mistakes' that I shouldnt have make.

The same 'dice rigging' that existed 3~ years ago when I got multi-banned for testing mechanics looks like it still exists. It's very game ruining (mostly relates to magic) and I could have bounced the army on my city abusing said exploit but opted against it. It's embarrassing to lose a 110k and look incompetent but I made mistakes and I can own up to them, thinking that you can just settle a city in the middle of your enemy's core after messing up your start is pretty foolish.

I can certainly relate to the botched start as I was stuck trying to get ignis out of our core for what seemed like a very long time. I also fully understand what you're saying about the warehouses and the part that it's not possible to lose a city as long as you play correctly.

The only part I'm not really following is the dice. I've seen a random number generator in action at school once before, and I figured this dice system revolved around something similar.

I ran out of edit time but I want to make it clear that I don't abuse exploits in VU for my own gain. It wasn't a matter of 'I won't cheat to prevent an embarrassing mistake', but a matter of 'I don't cheat'.

I wanted to get a better understanding of how the dice in VU actually worked.

I did some testing on Zetamania a while ago (mostly related to dice) and then tested one thing on GvE Round 3 (to confirm dice rigging). On GvE round 3 this involved sieging a city a couple of times at 3-6%~ from 'Mr. Fanboy' and then capping at 4%, but I had the option for a 100% capture for over 12 ticks therefore this did not affect the outcome of the era.

There's basically the same issue I brought up to Zeta in an email years ago, except that with the introduction of mobile technology and it being 2015 it's a lot easier to accidentally chance upon the exploit.

lol I came across a similar problem with StG a few years back. I actually plotted every StG cast I did for an entire era on connected worlds (a lot of casts)

with %age chance at success and fail/succeed. Some interesting patterns came up as a result.... hard to say it's RNG when you have 100's of data plots to say otherwise :\

I figured if you cast an it succeeds an cast fast enough without refreshing it pretty much uses same formula for your last cast to save time while computing so your more likely to get a success cause the pool to choose from is lowered to the bare minimum of choices. Never bothered to actually test it out though its not really "random" just made to look random there are patterns in it for success an fail rates(always has been). Learn the patterns an well it becomes quite easy to abuse. Which Barny probably learned or got a really good grasp for thus the could of bounced you but chose not to abuse said feature or something along those lines I take it.
