I have to, it's the only way. I'm not a lackey ever, and won't kow-tow to anyone or anything. I'm loyal, but also will stand up for what I believe is right.

My own KD probably hates me for it, but this is only a game. Why play if you don't stick up for what's right? We screwed up, and should be willing to admit it. I know it's difficult to admit wrong (it's VERY much so for me!), But sometimes you have to suck it up and do so.

I know I'll get even more grief in KoA for this post and the others, but seems public opinion so far is on bigfields side. I don't care about popularity though. While winning is important, it's not really a win if you do it dishonorably.

One question:. Do ppl with a NAP coordinate attacks and help each other, and share a core? Cause I look at House Mormont/Hornwood on Mantrax, and see those things there (to an extent), and I believe theirs is an alliance.

Maybe your KD mates really did assume it was a NAP they were getting into. And maybe for once instead of fighting your KD for another KD, think about your KD and what you've done to it.

And maybe for once instead of putting words in people's mouth to your convenience, actually FUCK!NG READ WHAT THEY SAY! It's not that hard to do. You just need to learn how to read or maybe buy a device with an actual screen in it instead of just a keyboard.

And I also know what kind of people to never back and trust ever again. Thanks for teaching me a lifelong lesson!

Yeah if you really were being honourable, you wouldn't message another napped KD and ask them if it was okay for you to take their cities before the enemy gets to them.

And you wouldn't be the first one to run and feed on a players cities who just left your KD for inactivity. Except you'd offer it to people who're fighting since you're still farming and can get that income boost organically by doing it on your own.

Gratz on feeding and being a selfish idiot. Play for the KD. Not yourself. Idiot!

If people really need more into why I won't play VU anymore after this one, it's all this drama and sh!t I didn't sign up for and still got.

When your fuck!ng team-mates stab you in the back high and dry, that hurts!

When your stupid team-mates force their hand in diplomacies and strategies and then once it's out there, they pick their cards back and you end up being responsible for everything that's gone wrong. Yeah, that hurts!

When team-mates can't keep their word. Yeah, that sucks!

Diplomacies suck and listening to an idiot's opinion on things suck. Don't make the same mistake I did guys.

I got my hands tied else I'd put the other side of the story here.

Ok I got 2 people asking me why I feel back-stabbed.

Here's just one of the many examples:

If you mean east parking, that was because of that blocker letting an enemy through its gates into our outer core.

However, I did oppose it's takeover. I was outvoted.

Here's a snip of our chat log where Freya was actually the one who suggested the idea of taking the blocker and apparently even messaged Perilious for it. http://i.imgur.com/ZqWR0tF.png. I don't have the time to go back through the entire chat to search for where that convo started but that's the gist.

I was inactive on that day and when I came back, someone from our KD had already even snagged the blocker. I wasn't a party in the decision making but I got on with it cuz I thought the team did it together.

And then he comes on the forums and acts all sainty putting his entire KD into bad light. I don't see any evidence in the chats after this, of his "supposed opposition to the takeover".

And in a few minutes, you will watch how he'll flash his being a newbie card at this mistake and we'll all get on with it cuz that's what we are supposed to do. Take all the shit and still back them.

This is the exact template that has happened multiple times through this era and we get to be the villains of the party we didn't want to attend.

Words are put in our mouths in public forums making us look villains.

Ofcourse that entire HS episode could've been handled better with good communication from both sides and both of us are at fault there but then ruining an era for your KD mates isn't something I would do for it.

But congrats, someone did just that.

Wanna know what I didn't like? This entire episode.

I don't like shit slinging out in the public yet this is exactly what I'm forced to do. For all it mattered, I wanted to keep my lips sealed on this but then when shit goes down, you gotta do something about it.

Initially I was in favor of us taking it, yes. Until I came up with a solution that didn't involve that, after talking to Perilous. I also talked to Varian about the alternative, and he was in favor of said alternative. Said alternative was us building a blocker near Orcish Horde, so that East Parking could remain open gated. Then HS could keep East Parking. A person is allowed to change their mind, and I did after I talked to Perilous.

Then later, gobbles army needed to go through east parking. He wanted to take it. I proposed maybe doing a CW on it instead of taking the city. Varian and gobble turned that down, and had a decent reason for doing so (I forget exactly what). So yes, I did oppose its takeover before it actually occurred.

Also:. East Parking was not taken at the time of that chat snip. Varian didn't take it. After that, about 12 hrs later, Varian asked Perilous to permanently close that city's gates. Perilous agreed. Then after that, is when Gobble needed to get through, about 24 hrs after that chat snip. By that point, I had further talked to Perilous and came up with the alternative solution --- which if I recall most of my KD was against at first.

With regard to our inactive player, his cities were offered by himself to one of our members. Said member OFFERED me two of them. I accepted. After the one revolted, I suggested someone with low land take it (50% rule), but that never went anywhere, so I took it back once 50% rule dropped.

I could have refused, yes, but the one especially was helpful since my MC/armory was wrecked just before that. It was an armory. That member OFFERED those 2 cities to help me after losing my city. Should the one have gone to someone else? Probably. But I considered it a nice gesture, from someone who at first didn't like me. So I didn't want to refuse.

As for me being selfish, I'm playing the role I was asked to do by our kd leader. My goal is for KoA to win this age, and I'm hoping to be a part of that success shortly. And I am a second era player, I'm sure I've made plenty of mistakes. But insults won't help anyone.

SPQR only had 3 members play this era, so we knew we were going to lose oop to Nararians pretty quickly. I settled a backup city to the East pretty early in the era, but didn't build any gts or scout around so didn't know NA was right above us until i started working on that city when we lost our core.
@Magus, I messaged you when I realized your KD was right there, but didn't get a response. If you messaged someone else in my Kingdom they didn't relay that to me.
So i messaged your first dwarf blocker next to us that our intentions were neutral and he said that was fine that we were there.

I mean, I shouldn't have expected to be allowed to stay and rebuild when the forums called for a FFA, but it was frustrating to not hear anything back except that it was okay for us to be there, then a week later have corps and armies on our doorsteps from a KD over 4 times our size.

I haven't read all of these forum posts, but I'm gathering that the "ffa event" is causing some issues. With this type of game it's going to be pretty hard to commit everyone to a ffa, especially when KDs start losing. It's just nature of this type of game to rally against the bigger KDs.

I'm not mad about losing, I suck at this game and over half my KD didn't play this era so we didn't have much going for us, but thought I'd chime in. I guess congrats to Nar and NA for killing us.

Sigh. This is too much out of hand, and I've caused a good chunk of it.

So, I'm going to apologize here, publicly, for my role in this mess. I have made some mistakes and said some things I shouldn't have. That was wrong of me.

I also apologize for attempting to stick up for a friend and who I thought was an ally. While I at first treated that ally badly, I realized my errors and tried my best to fix things, which I did from a personal perspective.

As for KoA, I apologize for going public with all of this, and defending our ally/nap/whatever H&S is/was instead of my own kingdom. Even if I disagreed, I shouldn't have came here to defend them.

Probably too little too late, but I at least can say I made an effort.

Nararians last era had more then half of its players being their first era.
we were in an OOP war with SPQR who fought well but eventually lost,
we then went and attacked KoH. Yes sadly for KoH so did H&S and NA, all while you continued to do nothing but sit in your castle. the same as EVERY other era that I've seen and have had the time to read through history.. There was nothing pathetic about the win last era, it was our first era. Did Elendar carry most of the win? sure he did hes a great player and had a great era. most KD's have the same thing happen to them when they win.

our one win was more impressive then your countless eras of losses. so please continue whinging and complaining and beating yourself off at how amazing you are when you find yourself in the same spot every era. sorry for defending our kingdoms borders? oh no! how could we...you're right how could I not see how bad we were for putting troops in a blocker to defend it...

- It actually took like 2 cities out of like 4, so that is really only 50% =P

Also and only I, myself took them back a few hours afterwards, really didn't amount too much since Vilhelm had like only like a mere 1k nazguls.

Our "other member" went inactive (didn't get to land either, so got removed).

- Yet wrong again, it took like 4 members (an orc, a troll, and 2 halfers) that including yourself Vilhelm to "man-handle" me lol. Ridiculousness of having only one person to defeat me (yeah it took one 200k Halfling army to do it), but nonetheless, i took out a fair amount in the process. It took roughly 4x the members you mentioned, so that is 4 members to overrun me. Yet again, I have no quarrels about the fight, but alas, get your facts straight before making silly stories about "man-handling" one member when it took 4 to do so lol

Anyway, hope Zhuo is putting a decent fight/defense, hope to make it back south sometime and play with everyone again =D
