People look down upon me and don't respect me, yet I see only you bitching at the rest of the game here, and no-one defending you. Seems like you have a lot of friends yourself eh? Sure I have a few enemies, but I wouldn't say people don't respect me or look down upon me. Yes I'm a farmer and a mediocre player in general. I did lead a kingdom to victory in Fantasia once but that was mostly thanks to my vices. I have no problem admitting I'm not the greatest player in this game but what I do have a problem with is people like you, with overinflated ego's bragging about beating a kingdom when they had to ally a map to do so.

Same with me palpy. Never been known as an exceptional player, but people still want me in their kds, and surprisingly remember me even tho I might have forgotten them (sorry my memory is kinda bad, please don´t hate me XD ).

I have played VU nonestop for 8 or so years, and Im perfectly fine with not being considered great. Its enough that my friends and kd mates are happy with my performance, and that I know I do my best for them :)

But I guess some would rather be infamous for bragging than quietly known among friends as dependable :P

well the lecture did go on for 10 minutes-about twice as long as when i suggested i might be an orc and you let me know how you feel about having them in your kingdom. never saw you crack a joke, or offer assistance to anyone. But you are a very good player-in case you missed that part.

The only thing I find more cringeworthy than a TBL post is an Osi one.

There are quite a few other combinations / scenarios as well, but the most important lesson is that you must take the trouble to know yourself, and then take the trouble to know the enemy. This applies not only to warfare... it applies to law, business, sports, negotiations, dispute resolution, even love :D



P.S. There is also such thing as a draw in war - where the result of the battle or war is too inconclusive (see the five battles of Kawanakajima), or where one side suffers a tactical defeat but a strategic victory versus a tactical victory but a strategic loss for the other (battle of Jutland).

I've taken a leaf out of learned TBL's book, and taken the time to read Sun Tzu's work on internet warfare. I'm guessing these passages are of particular importance to him:

I've really hit a nerve, haven't I guys?

Before when we've called TBL out on his farming, mass NAPing and general uselessness, he's all "Yes, I am a faggot" or "nvm, ignore". But mock his application of a millenias old war strategy to an internet game and add a few Sun Tzu-esque whiskers to his face and he comes bawling to the forums about "respect".


I can't say I've won the VU battle vs TBL because as per usual, he STILL hasn't managed to send any armies into battle. But as far as the forum fight goes? With his latest post I'm positive I've got him now. He's struggling to see the computer screen clearly with all those tears streaming down his face.

I've got tears too. Tears of laughter. LOL.
