Sir Ygdal

Lived in Era 20 and got 1 heir(s) (Ooog Splat).

Sir Ygdal, the son of Mr. Particulizer started his adult life as an adventurer.

Bored with the day to day life in his father's province, he decided to leave to "sow his royal oats". During his adventures, he met many people of all races and does not have the typical dwarven problem of strict isolationism that many dwarves feel.

Early in his adventuring life, he met a half-orc named Ooog Splat. Ooog was a barbaric fighter of great strength. Ygdal and Ooog spent many years together fighting giants and dragons and many other beasties too numerous to name. In time Ooog's little sister, Guarsha joined the fighting duo. Guarsha also was a barbaric fighter in the same manner as her big brother. From almost the start, Ygdal felt a strange fascination to Guarsha. She on the other hand wanted nothing to do with the vertically challenged dwarf.

Their adventuring days continued with many other people joining and leaving their little troupe. However it all came to an end one fateful day just a couple of years before Particulizer's death on the battle field.

The little party of adventurers which by this time was 7 members stumbled across a ferocious green dragon of great size. This dragon was easily three times the size that any had faced before. After a brief talk, the adventurers decided to leave the area, assuming the dragon too much of a challenge.

In their haste to depart from that particular region, they were too noisy and happened to arouse the attention of the sleeping wyrm. Screaming in terror, three of the other members of the adventuring party ran.

With a great whoosh and mighty beating of wings the great beast took flight. Sweeping down on the running members of the party, the dragon grabbed two of them with his gigantic claws and soared high in the air. With an evil growl the green wyrm let the two go to fall to their deaths.

Diving back quickly to the ground, the dragon snatched the other runner. With a feat of aerial acrobatics seemingly unbelievable for a beast so large, he turned and flew back to Ygdal, Ooog, Guarsha, and the only other member that didn't run. The great wrym landed directly in front of the party with a great thud, flattening the halfling in his grasp to an unrecogizable pile of blood and bone.

With Guarsha and Ooog on either side and the elf who didn't run (named Larandar) behind him starting some magical chant, they bravely faced the dragon. Ygdal with his sturdy battleaxe and Ooog and Guarsha with their mighty swords rushed the huge beast and a great battle commenced. Larander stayed a few yards away firing spell after spell at the dragon.

The dragon was ferocious and they gave it their all. Ygdal, caught unaware by the whipping tail of the wyrm, was thrown back thirty yards, hitting his head on a stone. The last vision he had before unconsciousness took him, was the image of the woman he loved being bitten in half by the green dragon.

The next thing Ygdal remembered was awaking to the elf applying a bandage to his severely wounded head. Sitting up with a start, Ygdal looked at the carnage around him. The great, green, decapitated wyrm lay in a heap not fifteen yards away and the mighty Ooog sat lifeless, slumped against a tree. The rest of the story was told to Ygdal by the elf.

At the thought of losing both his sister and best friend, Ooog went into a beserk rage and fought with the strength of ten men. He tore into the dragon with a ferocity that the dragon was not expecting. Ooog was struck many times by the beast, but none affected him. In the end, the dragon thinking to end the fight, stooped down to bite him in the same manner as his sister, but Ooog sidestepped and gave a mighty swing with his great sword cutting the wyrm's head from his body.

Ooog was heavily damaged during the fight and were it not for his beserker rage, he would not have lived as long as he did. He walked to the tree, sat down, and breathed his last. The elf, having spent all his magical energy in the fight could do nothing for the brave, mighty, giant of an orc.

With the death of his best friend and the woman he loved, Ygdal decided his adventuring days were over and moved back home.

With the death of his father, Ygdal took command of the colonies and has proven to be a very inept ruler having lost everything in just days after assuming leadership to Mr. Ishido of the Red Hand.
