Alexey was born the son of an impoverished hedge-knight at the end of the 20th Era. He was there when the era ended and time was stopped. He was there when the Wyrm of Autumn decided to rear it’s head and destroy the worlds. He conversed with the Wyrm and made a bargain. Henceforth Alexey and all his decendants would stand as champions for the Bringer of Destruction, the Master of Decay, the Wyrm of Autumn.

Alexey realises that he has made a fragile alliance, to say the least, and the Wyrm could just as well decide that other rulers are better suited for it’s causes, eliminating Alexey from the field.

With a sense of self-destruction, Alexey chose the Family name of Romanov, after an ancient Empire which was lost to all but history, due to it’s own decadence and inner Rot. A suiting name for the champion of Decay.
