Homer Bloodaxe was orphaned at a very young age by marauders when his village was pillaged during the time of strife. Taken in by the few survivors remaining they fled into the relative safety of the mountans nearby, while his father was a respected warrior within his tribe he was still shunned or at least treated as a lesser member of the new society and grew up laboring hard to prove his worth attempting to escape his solitude and outcast stigma. This along with a bitter seed of vengeance were his motivation, as he aged and learned he grew stronger and wiser until he was offered a position within the new society. Remembering his treatment by some of his own people he declined and announced his departure, as he exited the village gates a village elder handed him something wrapped in a crude cloth and just as he was about to speak of it several others of "lesser" worth asked to join him on his journey. The elder nodded silently and returned inside and Homer along with a small group of outcasts set out to start anew. Their village "the Mines" is now their new home, what does Fate hold in store for them? Only time will tell...
