City Revolting
13:41:18 Sep 23rd 08 - Lord Incognito:

I tried to look for this in the forums, but couldn't find it.

How can I stop a city revolting? Besides casting Happiness(don't have mus with me).

13:59:58 Sep 23rd 08 - Mr. David:

Keep an large enough army in the city.

14:04:23 Sep 23rd 08 - Lord Incognito:

Okay, Thanks. I thought so

14:56:45 Sep 23rd 08 - Mr. Ping:

1k riders doesnt count as enough as we found out :P

but we think its based on city size, but apperntly 10k pess can overrun 1k knights (elf)

15:15:13 Sep 23rd 08 - Lord Incognito:

That would make sense, but sucks :p
Would also explain why I had to reclaim the city when my army was sitting in it :\

16:29:48 Sep 23rd 08 - Lord Charley Deallus:

Everyone loves me when I conquer them...so I have never had a revolt yet in an era... :)

10:44:14 Sep 24th 08 - Mr. Ping:

incognito, if you were in the city it shouldnt have revolted.....but like ive sed, depends how big the army was, we had 1k riders killed

10:54:21 Sep 24th 08 - Lord Incognito:

I was in the city. I believe it does have something to do with the size of soldiers..

13:14:32 Sep 24th 08 - Mr. Basch:

there's one easy way to stop revolting, take all peasants out when you take over :D

13:21:14 Sep 24th 08 - Lord Incognito:

I tried that. You cant :D

13:23:35 Sep 24th 08 - Lord Incognito:

Updates for the era of Asystole.

It's not possible to move peasants out of a newly taken city close to revolting.
Moving in your own peasants to a newly taken city will lover the chanse for revolt.

There, thats why :p

15:19:44 Sep 24th 08 - Mr. Sloop:

Why don't you make it random when you take a city from another player theres a chance of revolting back to the others control..and it would happen depending on morale when the city was captured :P

15:24:33 Sep 24th 08 - Lord Incognito:

I have a feeling that affects it. After it revolted, I took it over again and it stayed in my control, even though I had MUCH lower morale :p

16:01:23 Sep 24th 08 - Sir Soccermunches:

ever wondered why people carry pezz in their armies?

16:07:54 Sep 24th 08 - Lord Incognito:

Well...... now I know... :'(

20:31:07 Sep 24th 08 - Lord Charley Deallus:

When I was on Fant I had my last city taken over by Binh...then it revolted back to me...too bad I was asleep during that time because he had to like take it over two more times :-\

06:32:47 Sep 27th 08 - Lord Random:

Cast happiness you tards....

its the easiest way....

or get your mage to if you have no mu's :P

06:34:25 Sep 27th 08 - Mr. Ghost:

um i found out keeping a scout on ur city works as well till you morale gets up

07:08:42 Sep 27th 08 - Lord Charley Deallus:

I actually just conquer cities...and burn them...great strategy huh? No city, no pezzies to revolt ;p

not true ?

10:56:35 Dec 13th 09 - Princess Aisha:

If you put the army in homes, then the soldiers have the same low morale and they help with the revolt, thats why you loose 1k Riders cause you put them in homes so their morale goes down... Right?
Are we supposed to keep the soldiers in an army on the city, not in the houses?

11:31:37 Dec 13th 09 - Fire Lord Nova The Mzztical Mzzfit:

Have not tested all the way but the one time i did it i was a bit surprised.
fill every last bed available in the city with troops. Moral went from 6% to 90% in 1 tick as if it had no homes in the city at all.
As you can figure this would become more of a challenge on large cities if you don't have the big army for it. Like a 90k with no pez is 375k free beds to fill so a nice size army. =P
As i said, this was not tested on more then just the 1 city. Yes i'm being lazy! lol

11:43:47 Dec 16th 09 - Sir Brown Bear:

i dunno a city on i think 6% morale revolted on 20k axers of mine last era....20k axers wer nothing the only thing i missed out on was the 400k axers i had set to train :( ...watch out for city revolts...do anything you can to fight them :( !
