Troop Loss In Small cities
08:12:03 May 6th 12 - Mr. Zenchi Senkusha XI:

I was wondering what kind of % loss you get in a small city with say 300 homes and you have a 500k army.

I'm curious becuase I just had a 200k army wiped out. knew the 500k had been around but opponent used invis to move it to the city. not sure how long it was there but would like to know how costly this tactic is of hiding huge armies in tiny cities for long periods of time.

i dont understand the question. they will have to pay upkeep for the army the entire time as they won't be able to put the army in homes.

there is also another negative side effect to putting large armies in s1 cities, which is it will take very little time to prep on the city, leading to that huge army being easier to slaughter.

I was to understand they start dieing off if you can't house them

they die if you put them in the city without enough homes. you don't have to put them in the city. you can leave them in an army and pay upkeep.

- As i am going to say again, i didnt used invisibility lol. Invisibility is used when to hide an army (outside the city) or an entire city. But when an army is on the city, the entire army doesnt appear on your screen. I dont see your armies when you are on your city and the same goes for you. My armies are on the city, so i pay army upkeep. But when you are inside the city, i dont pay upkeep, but since i didnt have enough homes, i would have lost it. So i kept it ON the city. You came by close enough to my city/army. I was able to attack and annihilate your army. There was no magic involved (i didnt even have the magic to cast eits on your army)

I can see armies "On" and not "In" cities all the time, this still hasn't been explained to me.

You and phantom must have crazy high military science, you keep beating me and I generally outnumber you, most recently by about 4 times against phantom...and yet my army was annihilated.

- The only armies you see on your screen are your own "on" and "in" your city. Eye in the sky only tells what is in if you target the army or the city but not both. Only you can see your own armies in your cities and other cities. But you dont see that of anyone else's in yours (by clicking on defence icon on your screen depicting which city you have chosen, then you can see what army(s) are there) or others.

- Nah, we are about average with those who have the norm of military. Plus you have to account that in Zetamania, there are things such as merges with other players (which is the only realm which does i think, may have to recheck it out). You can beat Phantom multiple times, but with myself merged into him, with his army combined with mine and his military science, becomes a new formidable army. Yes you were annihilated, but you are singling yourself out to the rest of the alliance, without your alliance you are facing a considerable less chance to succeed at winning any sort of battles.
