Everscape is a lucky wretch, a lowly mariner who stumbled upon a treasure during one of his voyages. Not alerting the rest of his crew on that fateful trip, he bailed from the crew the next time his ship made port and immediately sold everything he had in a risky, all-for-nothing venture.

Born a halfling, Everscape was left homeless when his family was murdered when an orc tribe attacked his small town. Setting off on foot at the age of 10, he was found by humans who raised him as their own. Adopting human traits and cunning made the young halfling far more versatile than his other little counterparts as he restlessly hopped from job to job until he stumbled upon the ocean and its endless possibilities and danger.

After Everscape recovered the treasure, he decided he would try to reverse his aimless ways and divert his attention to a new passion: leadership. Founding Shale was "the most fulfilling experience yet", says Everscape to a traveling minstrel. He will certainly be devoting his time to establishing and maintaining diplomatic ties with his neighbors, while at the same time fiercely protecting his people. Everscape is determined to make good his word.
