Mr. Cairn

Lived in Era 31, got 1 heir(s) (Cairn II) and was a member of Corruption

I was born into the noble family of Highsworn, and unfortunately for me. I was brought into a problematic time, and I was immediately (Against my mother's will) sent away to be raised by a group called the Shacirian Court. The Shacirians raised me in the ways of the arcane as well as they way of the blade. My education was rather for more advanced than those of families of nobility. You see, the Shacirians were a rather intellectual organization whom believed in sharpening your mind before you perfect the body. "Otherwise." As they would say. "There would be a great unbalance between the two thus creating indecision, and indecision will always be your downfall." At the age of twelve, I was permitted to become an apprentice of the third seated mage. Who's name I'm afraid escapes my mind.

Mr. Cairn II

Lived in Era 32, got 1 heir(s) (Dain) and was a member of Corruption

My family, the Highsworns. Has for generations lived in the great mountain pass of Daimon. Here, is our city carved from the mountain's face known as Highsworn City. My father has ruled here, and his father, as well as the father before my grandfather. And now I, Cairn Dainheart Highsworn II. Rule over this fair city-state. My apologies that my father's journal was unfinished. He died in his sleep, long before he could have told you anything of importance about his life.
Father was rather mysterious as well as a lover of solitude. I myself hardly knew the man, and my mother is most likely the only one who has been in his company the longest than any other being in Starta. His other relationship was that with the Archmage Adelheim Mairwood. The head of the Shacirian court as well as my chief advisor. Father was once Adelheim's apprentice, but since Adelheim is an elf. He had to see his favored pupil exit this plane of the living.
Here are the last words the two said to one another.
"Ah, old friend. 'T is good to see a familiar face before death embraces me." My father had said. He was grinning, but you could see the fear of death in his eyes. I think Adelheim saw it too.
"It is good to see you as well Cairn Highsworn, but I must say that you musn't jest about such things. You will live to see many more seasons, and besides, your people need you when the time of the Apocalypse begins." Adelheim whispered, and I knew that the attempt to assure my father did not work.. For father's expression grimaced.
"My son will be their for the people Master Mairwood, you shall see." My father said proudly, and then he looked at me. I could see that he was proud, but he was also scared. For what? I shall never truly know the real answer or even answers. "Adelheim, I ask you that remain as the advisor for my son. He is still young, but he will be a just man. You shall see."
Adelheim nodded to his comrade, his old pupil, and his greatest friend. "I never thought I'd mourn over a human's passing." I heard the elf say as he left.
My father then slumbered, and that was also the last time I saw my father alive.
Cairn Dainheart Highsworn, my father, was born when our family was heading a band of loyalist trolls in the surrounding area. The reason for trolls were granting us their service, was because my grandfather saved their chieftain's entire family when some kingdom from the north went on some idealistic crusade.
Yet, he led the trolls to our sacred homeland of Daimon pass in Starta. And the journey from Valhalla was rather tiring. I was although, only a boy, and my father was always in the front. The trolls called him the "Jin." Or something like that. One of the warlords told me that it meant "Wise one" in their language. Father laughed at the notion, but I think that it really added to his persona of being a proud man.
Anyway, when we got here. My father and troll chieftain considered the honor-debt owed to our people paid, and then they left. But now we are where the Heimwood Vale is, and that is where the city of the Shacirians is. The court has always been here in Starta, and they have always been friends of the my family. Yet, now that we're back in our ative lands they've seemed to have wanted to strengthen our relationship. Adelheim has opened more trade, and has signed several laws that enable those who are not of noble blood to become mages.
I myself have done several things, such as allow those of the Shacirian order to live as well as have them acquire estates throughout Daimon pass.
Back to my father's history.... You see, father was part of the now disbanded army called the "Shacirian Legion." An army of the elite mages of the court, but sadly after a victory that brought about the losses of thousands of mages. The legion was disbanded due to severe casualties as well as the death of several head mages in the court.
Father was a captain I recall, and was awarded some odd staff that meant a lot to my father. He, like Adelheim. Was now a Chief Archmage, but since he was newly ranked. He was given barely given anymore respect. Yet, we did recieve more military aid when we needed it as well as more arcane universities throughout our lands.
As the years went by, father eventually left the court to retire into solitude. And that basically sums him life up, but he did sign several more treaties and alliances.
Father was once apart of the Corruption kingdom, but they were disbanded. Today, I followed father's wish and joined another kingdom. This kingdom happens to be in defiance of Carnage, who oddly enough settled their grand armies in Starta. I'm afraid that a large war that will cost several lives is imminent. Recently, I have commisioned a military stronghold to be built. I dubbed it "Malician Armori." Which in Daimonic means "The Malevolent Armory." I plan to construct my northern army, but I am indecisive into what I may build. A calvary army? Or, to honor those of the court, an army of Mages. I pray to Orn that this will pass and that I can wisely decide what to do.

To update any of those whom decide to read this journal, I wish to say that a new kingdom known as "The Gaul." Is apparently preparing to invade Daimon Pass. As Lord of my clan I must do what I can to stop this before more of the kingdom arrives.

In a turn of events, Zek, king of the Gaul. Wishes to band together to ready ourselves for a confrontation of WarFire.
I hope that it isn't a gimmick for them to invade me. I may leave the Legion behind in order to safeguard my land.

Many things have changed since tha alliance. And these things bring confusion into me. And I haven't any Idea what to do. Hopefully. I can just bind my time until it is necessary to strike.
The Shacirians were defeated by Sovereign, and my lifeguards also faced defeat. I'm afraid these are somewhat dark times for myself. As well as all of those in my clan.
