05:36:41 Oct 30th 09 Just wanted to say thanks to everybody for a great era. I have asked loads of questions and every single one of them has been answered. Besides the help you are all great company and I enjoyed chatting with several of you. Working alongside Jones and Random in Valhalla has also been great; I think we've made a great team and there is still a small chance we may be #1 in Valhalla after the next 14 hours.
I started playing this game last era. I play Utopia; an MMORTS and googled some terms and ran into this game. I made an account and landed in Talents. I wasn't interested in joining a kingdom even though everybody told me I should and I was invited to a couple (Purgatory and Elvine Devlorian... ghetto ones I assume?) but when Purgatory took most of whatever cities I had I knew it would be hard to ride solo in this game.
From what I can recall, I was in chat one day asking questions. Random happend to be there and told me to make a kingdom with him. At first I was skeptical; I didn't know who the hell he was or what he wanted from me. I didn't have much to offer at the same time so if he wanted to jack my cities from me, then it will be a hard learned lesson. I decided to make a KD with him anyways. This is where I found out he was a known player and was very good at the game, giving me plenty of advice and guiding me on how to play Elf correctly (he made me restart my account because I did mining science first ;p.)
When he told me to tag along onto a bigger kd for this era I was excited and anticipated it. I feel like a well experienced player but I know I could do 10x better next era as I know all of the mistakes I have made this far. Unfortunately I won't be around.
Thanks again to everybody in the KD and especially Random; you have made my VU gaming experience a hell of a lot better than it could have turned out.
