Mr. Mcptee

Lived in Era 34 and got 1 heir(s) (Mcanamanee).

Mr McPtee came to an unknown land inhabited only by natives. Soon there was a thriving city that grew steadily. The first dwelling of natives was captured easily and turned from a filthy nothing to another thriving city.
However, the major dwelling of natives resisted the first attack and squashed the people's army, making all the good people mourn in sorrow.
This was avenged about half a year later, during the big siege. The natives were eradicated and now there's enough room for prospering cities of the McPtee's!

Mr. Mcanamanee

Lived in Era 34, got 1 heir(s) (Sardos) and was a member of Faith

On our long and hard travels to Armageddon, my beloved and pregnant wife fell ill and suffered for many weeks. Finally, just a couple of days before our arrival in Armageddon, Annania died, weekend by her long illness and unable to recover during the hardships of travelling, taking our only child to be with her to the grave.
Arriving at Armageddon, the mind of McAnamanee was clouded by mourns and sorrows. Still he had enough discipline to instruct his folks to start building a few cities.
After a few weeks there was an opportunity to join the kingdom of FAITH, which was gladly taken, since there seems to be a lot of warfare around this new place and a feeling of insecureness had started to grow.
A couple of days later, there was a major war on the northern frontier. It seemed rather threatening and preparations were made to defend the kingdom. Thank god other armies came to liberate the strained areas from the invaders and defence was never needed.
After all cities were secured and safe, unforeseen business kept our great leader away from his duties. However, everything was so nicely arranged that the kingdom was stable 'til the end of the era.

Sir Sardos

Lived in Era 35, got 1 heir(s) (Mcsardee) and was a member of Burnt

My name is Sardos.
Against all expectations I'm still alive. I had moved to Saradhur expecting the biggest battle I had ever seen, seeing the city under siege by more than 3000 Nazguls. The air was thick with wings, the Nazgul's smell everywhere. The city was stuffed with knights also, all of them grim, all of them ready to die. I had chosen to be with my people since there was little else for us left to do. So we sat there and waited for the attack to come. It didn't.
Then, without apparent reason, the armies left our city. A few days later the news from my other fallen cities set in - one after the other. The first city to fall was the farming city. Soon hunger took over the prior worst threat from the nazgul. It all seems hopeless. Tomorrow I'll take the knights home for one of our former towns and see what's left. We don't have the spirit to defend any more, but maybe there is a small chance for revenge.

Today I came to my studies to write down my history. It may well be the last thing for me to do, so I better get it done today. My days have been strange in about every way I can think of. But read for yourself and find your own judgement.

The first days in my memory I was living at the palace of McAnamanee. However he himself had died years before that - matter of fact a couple of months before I was born. He never returned from that business journey he went for. Oddly enough, this very journey is the reason for my existance.
When traveling his kingdom, McAnamanee was seriously injured when his horse went wild. He was found shortly afterwards by his loyal servants. Away from his court there were few healers available, such that he was brought to Miss Sorisa, a healer of some knowledge as was said by the locals and of latin origin. Sorisa cared for McAnamanee for several weeks and he was slowly healing.
Eventually, the day came when he was ready to continue his travels, so he and his men departed.
It was months later, that Sorisa discovered the gift McAnamanee had left her. Unnoticed by everybody, a small love affair had grown and a child should be the proof of that. That had been me and when I was born, Sorisa gave me the name of Sardos. Nobody knew I was a bastard of the former leader of this small county and had it not been for the death of my father, nobody would ever have known except for me.
As I mentioned earlier, my father never returned from his trip. He got ill and it is said that his former wounds gave him an additional fever. He was not that lucky this time and no competent healer was around, so he deceased.
As his wife had died on their travels to Armageddon, there was no known heir and it was much debated on how and by whom the county was to be lead. As it happens in occasions like this, some greedy people try to take control, but the spirit of McAnamanee had planted an accute sense of justice in his citizen, such that the greedy people failed to take control. Nevertheless, the county was at the edge of desparation, since no solution to the situation was available and it was rumored that in the end some dark force would have seized hold of the county. This was, when my mother decided to give away my true heredity. She had little proof of her story, but a few of McAnamanee's close advisors remembered her as the healer where their leader had rested for weeks after that tragic injury. They gave plausibility to the story and the need for a leader was great. The final decision was made when Sorisa showed a letter with McAnamanees handwriting proving his love and affection for her. And thus it came that I was accepted at court, though the title of Scots nobles was denied to me.
In the years to come I studied everything a leader needs to know about ruling a county and prepared for my soon to be duties while McAnamanees advisors lead the county.
We were still a member of FAITH when I took over my duties, though my fathers favourite warlord had gone off to lead his very own kingdom. I had read and reread every report on Mr Darque Shade I could find in the old libraries of my father and learned to share his admiration for this man.
When years later, FAITH broke apart from inner tensions, lack of leadership and careless egoism, my decision was formed. I wanted to join the former ally of my father in his kingdom.
Again, fate struck. As I set out to prepare joining the kingdom of Mr Darque Shade, the GAULS, they were about to be conquered. But there were no other options - except to turn against my former allies and become a traitor. I could never have done that. The path was clear, the consequences as well. Thus I joined GAULS and soon had to face the attacks of their mighty enemies. So it came to pass, that today I sit in these studies, preparing for one last counter-attack which has little if any chances on success, but it's better than starving to death.

I must admit that I could not have wished for a better kingdom. My citizen have all been loyal far beyond what I could ever have requested. In the end, my family was even granted the right to wear it's former title again - thus I hope will my son. He has left with my beloved wife to find less inhospitable areas to settle when the war started. I already miss Saragesa so very much I can hardly sleep at night. I don't expect it'll be long from now, the knights are ready.
Let's move.

Much time has past since I sat down to put my history to paper. A lot has happened.

After the spectacular fall of all of my cities I was lost. Crushed in spirit and without a home - without even so much as a piece of wood or a grain of corn I've seen my end coming. It's been the worst I've been through, ever.
Then letters came in from the local leader of the GAULs - he had a plan. With his help I would acquire some new cities and would be able to start again. A new hope! So I gathered every man I had left and moved towards their cities. We've been a poor pile of beggar-like people when we got there. I felt so embarrassed, I barely dared to look into their friendly faces.
Nevertheless, they provided all the help they could and after some time I had a few little cities prospering under my rule. It felt like a miracle - like being born again.
Still wary from the experiences gone through, I started building a few cities far away from my new ones to have something left in case a mighty enemy might strike again. In fact, during that time anyone with an army would have been a mighty enemy.
It soon showed that this precaution was more than necessary. After only a few months of building and cleaning, a huge army of the kingdom of BURNT showed up right before my new little cities. I don't think I could have even accomodated them if they had been my guests. A few quick messages with my local leader easily showed that there was nothing in the area that could have been put up against that. A different solution had to be found. So I took refuge under the skirts of diplomacy.
With the mediation of the local GAULs leader Mr Grafish I established contact with a friendly kingdom of GAULS, the MILITARY. They were easily convinced as taking me in, even though I was far away from their homes. The plan was, that the BURNT army wouldn't attack me, since they were bound by treaties with the MILITARY kingdom. It didn't work. Two things happened.
One, BURNT wrote formal letters to MILITARY, GAULS and some others declaring my membership of MILITARY would not be acknowledged. Single sided. And they didn't hesitate to attack.
Second I was blamed to be unfaithful and cheating by switching kingdoms and matter of fact MILITARY fell victim to this intrugue and dismissed me. This happened after my first cities had fallen. It was no use that I've later been able to explain my fate, the damage was done.
So once again I was on my own. Luckily I was at least somewhat prepared for this building some far-away-cities. I gathered what was left and moved to a sheltered valley in the west of my last existance, where one of those far-away-cities had been built. It was a very nice spot! The nature was rich and it was surrounded by two mountain-chains and a river. Very good!
Not starting from scratch, my rebuilding was not as painful as it had been before and since the spot was well suited for a small county things easily started to prosper.
All the time I had still been communicating with the leader of BURNT in order to find out the motivation behind his doings. It needs to be said that relations to BURNT in times of FAITH (the beginning of this era) had been very friendly and their leader in particular had turned out to be very loyal. So there was something to build on.
It took a few letters going back and forth to rebuild trust between us, but eventually our differences were put aside. And thus the day came when I joined the kingdom that had once caused so much trouble to me. Yes, believe it or not... I've become BURNT.

So here's the final chapter...
After settling in the BURNT core area, things soon began to prosper very fast. A lot of help was available, funds were plenty and no war anywhere in sight. Soon some cities grew to their limits from lake to mountains and back and new ones were settled. It was a time of prosperity and unrestricted growth. Everything seemed possible.
Then disaster struck again. This time not in the form of an army, but a mighty spell that had been cast on a different plane and caused the world to end.
In the chaos and mayhem following the casting of this mighty spell, everyhting seemed to destabilize. Rulers were throwing armies to the field that had sat still for centuries and chaos was the only winner. In this short period, several armies of Nazguls invaded the prosperous lands of BURNT core and nobody seemed able to stop them. Everybody was suffering and only the support of queen Melista and some additional help of the kingdom of Reservoir Dogs finally ended this unlucky episode.
Once again, I was looking mostly at ruins. Three quarters of my cities were lying in ruins once more and most citizens had either fled or died. The upcoming Armageddon left little impression since most of it's effects had already been anticipated.

Epilog
======
During my life on Zetamania I've been destroyed by Nazguls three times. Each time I couldn't defend against them, feeling all the agony of watching my own doom. This must be put to an end somehow. I wish my son will one day prevail against this dark force of evil and turn the world towards a better time.

Sir Mcsardee

Lived in Era 36, got 1 heir(s) (Mcaradee) and was a member of Burnt

I believed I had learned everything I'd ever need from my father. It turned out it was different. Today I am facing defeat and it's only a matter of time when this misfortune will be real.
The era started very bad - an enemy slowing down the development of the whole kingdom. I myself lost the my most important cities very soon and it took precious days to recover. Pretty soon, the second wave of attacks swept away the whole kingdom and we relocated to a safe area.
But rebuilding a kingdom takes time and our enemies were still at full strength. Even though there was time for hope when seeing the new cities prosper, it really wasn't real. The enemy was already reforming and with the sheer force of their undisturbed evolution are about to take down whatever is left of us and our protector.
One more era for this family line to wait for prosperous days in vain. Will there ever be safety for my people?

Sir Mcaradee

Lived in Era 39, got 1 heir(s) (Mcnatiara) and was a member of The Native People

During the reign of Sardos, solid relationships to the elves had been built and maintained, which led to my much celebrated marriage to an elvish woman, an event unprecedented event in my history books.

My good education and understandings of both tribes soon made me successful and I rose to be leader of the elves these days. Though I admit I haven't fully understood every bit of their culture I have learned a lot from them and sometimes feel more elvish than human.

...

Maybe I was fooled by initial success. It seems that there are more differences between elvish and human culture than I could accomodate. The KDs I joined were all fighting to survive against the allmighty FreedomFighters, but they all failed. The only success I can tell is that my people were among the last ones standing up to it.

Lived in Era 40, got 1 heir(s) (Mcfalter) and was a member of The Native People

Recently one of my friends came back from an ancient library. He was very excited. He told me he found out about a family line of old leaders and he expected that familiy line to be the origin of my lost parents.
Together we continued his research and there were indeed several hints that the family line he had stumbled upon was identical to mine. Among others, a couple of traditional family-stories had surprisingly similar equivalents in the family-line of the library.
All this research confirmed my plans to gather the local tribe and take off to some new lands. Finding confidence in the believe of being of an old family-line of leaders, I put my plan into action and here I am - right in the middle of a new continent with only a handful of people starting a new settlement and thriving for wealth and growth.

...

well looking back at my early days things were looking far too promising. Most unfortunately I was kept away from my businesses as a leader for many a day, leaving my trusting people to their own fate. This was far too optimistic. It turned out that without my guidance they fell easy victim to some predators looking for chocolate. Well, they sure didn't find any in my cities, but probably some other things that were useful to them.

Starting a new settlement was easy, but it was difficult to defend being open to attack from any side with little companions around. So evantually it was overpowered - once again in a time of my absence.

My current cities are the third dwelling I have started and finally it seems they've found a prosperous place free of jealousy and greed so we've finally been undisturbed.

There were a few minor conflicts in the vicinity that I've been able to keep my people out of. So here we are... no longer fugitives, but not yet at home.

May my successor find him and his people a better place.

McNatiara of the wandering elves.

Lord Mcfalter

Lived in Era 42, got 1 heir(s) (Mcfissure) and was a member of The Guild of the Fallen

Learning much from the difficult life of my parents and most of my ancestors, I was at the edge of despair when the kingdom that had given shelter to my parents disbanded leaving me all alone looking for a safe place for my people.
I decided to seek shelter at an old family-friend, Lord Chade. He was head of a powerful kingdom that I was hoping to find protection and friendship in. It was a day of great joy and relief when he accepted me into his kingdom. I wouldn't have known any other choice but to resign from my duties if he hadn't taken me in.

So I started as member of Guild of the Fallen and was soon surprised and impressed by the level of organisation and comradeship I found here. Early settling was smooth and mostly undisturbed except for a few stray alien cities that had sprung up unexpectantly in our kingdom borders, but were easily handled by my kingdom fellows.
Undisturbed by the hassles of war and politics I built up my strength and today I show pride in my achievements. My citizen and advisors have acquired huge knowledge of magic as well as some fine fighting skills and a solid knowledge of mining and medicine as well, looking for the well-being of my people.
Later in the era my kingdom was offended by a solitary fighter, leading huge armies towards our territory while at the same time fighting off another small kingdom that came to our southern borders. It seemed we could take the threats quite well, when all of a sudden an important member and brother in arms turned tails and decided to support the attack of the small kingdom in the south. It was only then when I discovered the full potential of the knowledge I had acquired so far. While not very skilled on the battlefield at that time, my people were able to reduce the number of the incoming enemy troops using our magic seriously and thus allowing the defending troops to prevail against the traitor and his armies. He was never heard of again.
The solitary fighter that had disturbed us at those times had been pushed back as well and finally decided to seek shelter in another kingdom that we are at peace with. Though there were many emotions against him from the previous battles I nowadays consider it a good choice to grant him peace and concentrate on other affairs.

It was just about then, when members of our kingdom from another world were crying for help due to a surprise-attack of another kingdom. I decided to send many of my people there to build cities and support the ongoing fight against the invaders. Our border-defences had already been taken and it was a hard time for all of us, retreating to the second and last line of defenses. With luck we prevailed the continued attacks and eventually more luck granted us serious relief, since other kingdoms were advancing on the aggressor as well, forcing him to withdraw some of his forces. So today we've been able to take back our main line of defence and hope to be stable on that border now.

Clan Elder Mcfissure

Lived in Era 43, got 1 heir(s) (Mcfyatt) and was a member of Guild of the Fallen

When I arrived at these new lands some time ago, I found many settlements of other rulers in my new realms. Some of them were known to my family from old times, but most of them were new. I was seriously worried and didn't feel safe. The more Scouts I sent in any direction, the more numerous were the reports of other settlements. It seemed there was no direction that wasn't yet occupied by someone. Furthermore, all those other rulers had grown their estate to a considerable size already, while I was still seeking for a place to live.
I soon realized that these were not the best conditions for a successful and fertile founding of a new colony, but I had little choices. So I went to a patch of land that seemed secured by some more or less established comrades from the kingdom that my father had joined so successfully a while ago.
Going back to the journals of my father I have to admit that the KD must have deteriorated since I found many problems and misunderstandings among the members of this KD. And I was soon charged with responsibilities and honours that my father had earned back in "the good old days". So these problems suddenly became my problems and I was in charge to find solutions. What a start...
Along with all those additional duties that came with the responsibilities I took for my KD, I still managed to start a few promising cities supplying all needs for a successful duchy. But growth and happiness didn't last long - our once fertile cities soon became attacked by an allied KD and it turned out that the defences that were put into place by those settling these lands earlier didn't hold, probably due to the surprise character of the attack.
Thus, all cities have been evacuated and my people headed for other lands to start again. Today we are established in this new area and have found peace with our new neighbours. But we still carry the betrayal of our formal allies deep in our hearts and all men and women strive to move out on the former aggressor one day to seek revenge.

McFissure.

Epilogue
in the end, we haven't done much. It was mostly another kingdom that finally took out the betrayer and all we could do is join in and finish them off. After all, they got what they deserved, but I'd have preferred to have it done by us. This way we didn't have the revenge we desired.
I have found several failures in kingdom diplomacy as well and hope I could do at least something to correct them. Hope this won't carry any bad spirits into future generations.

Life shall go on.
