Mr. Bane The Conqueror

Lived in age 1 of Fantasia and got 1 heir(s) (Darth Cadeus).

Entry 1:
Bane had brought his mighty army to rest in the land of Midguard. His people have marched far, and finally he decided for his people to build a city in the far eastern plains. The land is blocked off by mountain ranges, perfect for defense. As his people started building houses and farms, scouts came back with reports of a dwarven colony to the north of us. These dwarves were diligent, having already set up a mighty city straddling two great mountains. Already Bane began concieving his plan of conquest. By the second week, Bane ordered the construction of an armoury and the preparation of weapons for war. Thousands of swords and shield were forged in the space of a few weeks. Fresh new recruits found from the surrounding forests were equipped with sword and shield, and sent on to join the ever growing army stationed at WarWall. At nightfall of the third week, Bane ordered his army forward quietly, and besieged a small dwarven outpost. However, they have already foreseen this attack, and have demolished all the building, leaving behind a smoldering pile of ruins. None the less, scouts have come back with new information, telling Bane that the main dwarf city lies undefended except for peasants manning about two thousand guard towers. Our mighty army of newly recruited swordsmen and experienced archers shall sweep this city away.

Entry 2:
The march towards the Dwarven Capital continues. We have sent four thousand swordsmen supported by one thousand archers in advance to lay siege to the stronghold. This army is a day's march away right now. A week later, after gathering more recruits, we have mustered up an army of five thousand swordsmen eager for blood. This army is at the very moment marching towards the capital to reinforce our primary army.
Meanwhile, we have taken a small outpost setup by Lord Caddy, a halfing warlord who obviously has an eye out for my land. we have recieved reports of his cities being set up to the south of our lands. A small band of swordsmen is being sent to investigate and destroy any attempts of his to set up armouries for attacking our homeland.

Entry 3:
As our army set camp for the siege, we noticed suddenly a large host emerge from a dwarven town. Obviously they have been training their own warriors secretly to deal with our swordsmen. Though they have inferior weapons and armour, their numbers are too great for my army to handle at the moment. We must retreat and merge with our reinforcements before proceeding. Caution must be taken as the dwarfs are a more formidable adversary than I formerly thought.

Entry 4: Our entire empire is mobilizing for war. Every day, hundreds of new swordsmen are being trained and marched towards a siege camp that has been constructed a days march away from the dwarven capital. Unfortunately, a company of two thousand swordsmen, foolishly led by an inexperienced captain, marched into an enemy ambush, and were all slaughtered. However, more men filled the gaps left behind as thousands of swordsmen poured into the siege camp day by day, readying for the impending assault.

Entry 5: Today, we march for the dwarven capital. In two days time, our troops will near the city gates and begin preparing for an attack. Our sources tell us there is over ten thousand dwarven warriors in the city preparing for our assault. As I write, more swordsmen are being trained, already seven thousand more men are joining our main army in a week's time. Hopefully they will be enough to bring out enemy to his knees. The dwarves will taste the blade of men, and they will fall.

Entry 6: Today, a band of orcs arrived from the south, pledging to me their desire to form a coalition, a kingdom if you will. Always in need of a friendly ruler, I accept, forming the Kingdom of Horde. Not long after, having heard the news, a group of elven messengers arrived bearing friendly flags and asking to join the kingdom. Our strength has rallied many powerful rulers to my flag, and through this will conquer the world.

Entry 7: The siege on the dwarven capital progresses. Our strategists suggests that we put it under complete siege, cutting its supplies off, and trapping the army inside. Our superior army shall be able to hold them off while we wait for reinforcements to arrive. We shall crush the proud dwarven people and subjugate their people to our will.

Entry 8: The Sieging of the Dwarven capital begins! The horns sound as our mighty horde marches their swords drawn towards the enemy walls. Our engineers begin setting up wooden stakes in the ground, digging in pitfalls and setting up defensive positions. As this preparation was in place, a deep trumpet sounded from within the walls, and out poured a battalion of over twelve thousand dwarven swordsmen. Our own men took defensive positions behind the wall of wooden stakes, and waited. Our archers fired volley after volley into the dwarven masses, finding their targets through the thickly armoured targets. Then, they charged...
The whole battlefield trembled as thousands of feets drummed the dry ground. CLASH! Our two armies meet, man was pitted against dwarf in a battle for survival. However, our warriors were better equipped, better armoured, and better trained in the art of the sword. Hundreds of dwarves fell beneath the unrelenting blades of our men. Slowly, the dwarves realized that they were outnumbered, outmached, and outmaneuvered. Our men have surrounded them in a pincer movement, and we were slaughtering them by the hundreds. Another trumpet sounded from inside the walls, this time urging the dwarves to retreat. During the retreat, our archers cut down hundreds of dwarves as they turned their backs on us and ran.
At the end of the day, we counted over two thousand dwarves dead while we only lost around a hundred good men. Having repelled the attack, our army surrounded the city, blockading the roads, burning the crops, and driving out the local farmers. We started construction of siege towers to breach the wall in preparation for the coming battle for the city.

Entry 9:
The Siege drags on. Our men find that with every passing day, the city constructs new towers filled with peasants armed with boulders, ready to smash our men when they attempt to breach the walls. Our men could do nothing but wait for more reinforcements. Outside the siege camp, our reinforcements were recovering after a week long march, and more pour in. By my estimates, we should have enough troops to breach the enemy wall in another day or two. Hopefully, the enemy will start running low on gold and peasants, halting the production of his formidable guard towers.
