Lady Spooky

Lived in Era 12 and got 1 heir(s) (Spooky).
Once upon a time there lived a little hobbit called Spooky.

No-one knows where Spooky came from and she certainly isn't saying. Rumours abound that she was in some mysterious way related to a famous human from another era, but that is only rumour - and we all know how trustworthy rumour is, don't we children?

Spooky was an exceptional pie-maker. People came from far and wide to buy her pies - meat pies, fruit pies, even vegetable pies. Once Spooky found out that she could sell her pies in the farmers' market she soon started to change from being a poor downtrodden, unwanted, modest little hobbit to being a hobbit of consequence.

Finally one day Spooky was admitted, after much supplication and not a little whining, to the hallowed portals of the Kingdom of ARRSE. Now she knows the secret signs and symbols of the tie and the dreaded number 4 sock and there will be no turning back on the path to conquest, pursuit of treasure and really, really good pies.

Well once Spooky had built up a few modest little pie-making towns she began to turn her attention to other things. It seemed that there were a few thoughtless people - mostly humans - who had built silly little cities that were now restricting the expansion of Spooky's pie-making empire. This could not be tolerated and so Spooky raised an army of brave hobbits, named in honour of a distant relative - the famous hobbit Scary - and she went forth to war.

At first Spooky was a bit afraid because the cities looked quite frightening from outside and she is just a small hobbit, though very brave. However she soon realised they were just like armadillos - a bit hard on the outside but all soft and squishy once you get the shell off. In no time at all she had stomped one city to dust and taken over the other two. Soon the smell of freshly-baked pies was spreading through the deserted streets and the frightened peasants came flocking back.

It was a great day for Spooky and it was even greater when the Mighty King Sumo (may he live forever) of the ARRSE Empire recognised her efforts and she was knighted for services to conquest and pie-making. Why, Spooky even bought a new dress in honour of the day - and she doesn't wear dresses very often I can assure you.

Many battles followed - too many to write about here - and in all of these Spooky learned a little more about tactics and adventuring. The funniest of these battles was the one in which there was a great deal of running around although not by Spooky because halflings only have little legs. Together with her good friend Nicolai she played a fun game of back and forth and round and round, but we won't give too much detail here because we all know that tactics should stay secret - don't we?

And so as Arma approached, Spooky built up her resources and her skills for the approaching doom. Then she retired to her biggest city to wait the end of era destruction. But fear not gentle reader, Spooky will ride again, although she may not look quite the same next time......

Viceroy Spooky

Spooky nearly got caught out by the suddeness of Arma and forgot to write anything this era - but she remembered just in time.

Well as many of you will know after era 12 ended Spooky found herself in a rather comfortable tree. It was such a large tree that it has a special big area known as the naughty corner. This was where all the bad boys who said rude things were made to go and it was surprising just how many bad boys there were. In fact it got pretty crowded in there quite a few times. Some people who behaved properly were allowed into the tree proper, where the wine was flowing and the conversation was much more grown up.

Then the tree disappeared with a bang and we were all back in the mystical land of Fantasia.

When the dust settled Spooky re-appeared from the rubble and found that she’d mysteriously turned into a dwarf. Well I know that sounds weird but not being one to wonder about such things she immediately set about building a nice city and getting on with life.

Era 13 turned out not to be unlucky at all for Spooky despite her worries and her adventures in a tree in between eras turned out for the best (you see Abacus – I told you it would be worth it) as lots of her very good friends turned up in all sorts of unexpected places and stopped her brand new dwarf armies and cities from being crushed.

It would take too long here to write about all the exciting things that happened to Spooky in era 13 but here are a few of the highlights.

She made lots of new friends by having jolly conversations with them. Some of the others in Arrseonia thought she was being a bit soft – but you know what Spooky is like – she always wants to be everyone’s friend. In fact some of the KDs she wanted to be friends with turned out to be excellent allies in the end. Mind you some of the other allies turned out to be about as much use as a chocolate teapot and the less said about them the better.

She build lots of jolly cities including an unlimited after lots of frustrating building attempts and not a little swearing and cursing.

She took lots of lovely cities away from other people who weren’t looking after them properly or who were rude to her when she tried to have a jolly conversation with her. Don’t be rude to Spooky or she will get very cross with you – I think some naughty boys know that now.

The NARRSE stripey banner flew proudly all over the lands and NARRSE was a friend to many small KDs and players but a strong enemy to those who upset us or who attacked us first. All for one and one for all, which was a bit confusing to some Kingdoms who just don’t know that there is no “I” in team :)

Just as things were getting interesting and alliances were beginning to crumble, some very naughty elf did a very sneaky thing and arma came upon the world suddenly. Like the rest of the VU community Spooky was not prepared for this and many of her armies were caught in the open and suffered horrible deaths. As we wait for the dust to settle once more, who knows whether Spooky will survive this time and if she does who knows what she might come back as in era 14….
