We came to this land to join the established rulers and make a name for ourselves. The age started golden and full of prosperity. We expanded rapidly from the lands our Kingdom had laid out for us. This became our blessing and our curse. We spread our resources out too freely and did not exercise necessary caution. When the enemies came they struck fast, hard, and unforgiving. We rallied strong and pushed back hard, winning many but losing many more. The fortitude of our strong-willed countrymen won back our cities each time they fell, until we finally were overwhelmed. We have retreated to our final stronghold. It was a good era for our men, and if this is our last stand we will go out together, sword in hand.
