Era Winners
22:03:02 Aug 3rd 07 - Dark Lord Finwe:

Thats right i think the award should go to PKS for actually not being killed

22:05:29 Aug 3rd 07 - Sir Gaius Septim:

I was killed about five times, is there an award for that?

22:06:13 Aug 3rd 07 - Mr. Dakarius:

*pins looser awar on Septim*

22:39:44 Aug 3rd 07 - Sir Grim Darkhammer:

We appreciate that Lord Finwe. Only one of our members actually got killed off this era. With a kingdom of players that most have not played more that 2 era they did great. Kudos to Carnage without them we would have all had to respawn & probably respawn again.

05:42:23 Aug 4th 07 - Sir Bruto Cikayson:

PKS would have died long, long ago if Carnage hadn't NAPd them.  Honestly, they probably would have been better off taking their cities for themselves.

23:04:25 Aug 4th 07 - Sir Grim Darkhammer:

"Kudos to Carnage without them we would have all had to respawn & probably respawn again."

Wow Bruto you can really state the obvious. I believe thats exactly what I put in my post.

00:46:07 Aug 5th 07 - Mr. Enyalius:

ZEON would have died long, long ago if Abydos hadn't NAP'd them. Honestly, they probably would have been better off taking thier cities for themselves.

03:05:56 Aug 5th 07 - Mr. Soccer:

Every kingdom would die if they didnt make a single peace agreement :)

06:22:55 Aug 5th 07 - Mr. Enyalius:

Soccer that is true, and not the point I was making. The point I was making is Bruto is a complete *beep* who would be on Starta right now if it wasn't for Abydos. If Abydos wasn't there ZEON would be exterminated.......and i've talked with several of Abydos and they agree. Why bash PKS when PKS hasn't sad a bad (atleast none that i've seen) word about ZEON.......

08:29:05 Aug 5th 07 - Sir Grim Darkhammer:

Thanks Enyalius. I respect Zeon they are a great bunch of players. I've enjoyed playing this era because they have been great opponents. There has been little bickering this era but a lot of war, makes for a fun game.

Of course there are the little children that play, as noted by the previous post.

16:59:26 Aug 5th 07 - Mr. Soccer:

someitmes little kingdoms need to hide behind the bigger ones

*remembers jester's first era :)*

*and then remembers all the other eras jester has been around ;)*

02:09:41 Aug 6th 07 - Sir Bruto Cikayson:

Yes, Abydos would also have been better off attacking Zeon.  Not that hard to admit.

If it sounded as though I were trying to start a flame war, I apologize, such was not my intent.

Even though there is a "super nap" between Abydos, Zeon, Jester, and Phi, it doesn't apply every way around.  So Phi attacked and are beating Jester, because they never NAPd them, and can grow stronger without farming or needing to invade Legacy's cities.  NAPs can be disadvantageous in the long run.  Carnage knows this well, hence their lack of them unless in times of need.

07:51:44 Aug 6th 07 - Ms. Tori:

i want the award for best traitor award

11:24:32 Aug 6th 07 - Mr. Nieander:

what did you do Tori?
did you and a few others farm the whole era in the core of some big kingdom, and when all armies were away, you left your kingdom, created a new one and destroyed the other guys?
no? then it's nothing.... :D

12:40:09 Aug 6th 07 - Mr. Sloth:

Even though there is a "super nap" between Abydos, Zeon, Jester, and Phi

lol. This is the second funniest thing I've read lately. Somehow, I think Jester and Phi would disagree with your statement.

18:31:06 Aug 6th 07 - Sir Bruto Cikayson:

That's why I mentioned it does not extend in every way...

14:56:01 Aug 7th 07 - Mr. Soccer:

super nap?!?!?!? i havent been able to have a good nights sleep (let alone a nap!) since the phi war started!

16:43:46 Aug 7th 07 - Mr. Nub:

lol phi is hurting abydos and zeon (sort of) by attacking jester

14:50:04 Aug 8th 07 - Mr. Justanius Fontainius:

i want the award for pissing off the most kingdoms and ther r bigger traitiors tori

20:33:31 Aug 9th 07 - Sir Bruto Cikayson:

I want the award for making a fool out of myself in this thread :)

Grim, I sent an apology a while back to your kd leader.

22:11:19 Aug 9th 07 - Mr. Romulus:

I think the biggest traitor award would definitly go to condinho.

22:38:10 Aug 9th 07 - Mr. Justanius Fontainius:

ye i guess it will

02:32:22 Aug 10th 07 - Sir Razios Demonium:

I betrayed my small kd this era why can't I get traitor.

03:06:20 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Dudewhostolemynamecondinho:

wooohooo i won i won... og yeah... you mean the fake one, damn i never win anything...

05:22:24 Aug 10th 07 - Sir Falazar:

Congrats Abydos, on a narrow win :}

If ya had longer ya coulda taken em all on.

05:49:06 Aug 10th 07 - Ms. Persephone:

narrow win? they like dominated the hoh:P

(Dark Orion is my new Hero)

(yes i know he is second right now, but i have known him for awhile now and he's a standup chap;)

05:50:03 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Strike Zakira:

carnage for the top powerhouse!
Abydos for top defense and tactic!
Falcon for baddest defense!
Red hand for most Pride!
Jester for funniest!
Zeon for best name!
legacy for best comeback!
Heavens Vengeance for smallest powerhouse!

08:24:39 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Goldmeister:

Merchants of Death for most Abandoned by allies!

13:38:09 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Messiah:

Actually Abydos would be dead if they hadnt NAPed Zeon. Not by our hand, but by LGC. And they know it. From our point of view, we probobly shouldnt have NAPPED jester, they restricted our growth.. And the small starting map really screwed it up for us stuck in the middle. All-in-all it was a funny era, I think its safe to say we've all made mistakes(for instance Zeons unmerge when we where attacking Carnage, really really really stupid. First people where slow to unmerge thus leaving the attack moving at snail-speed after we took down first blocker, then when Carnage moved large armies to the front becouse of this ppl where slow to merge in again and we where all destroyed). Hard to pick a winner, but I think Abydos deserves the era. I dont understand what carnage has been up to.....

14:01:28 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Dudewhostolemynamecondinho:

Actually Zeon would be dead if they hadnt NAPed Abydos. Not by our hands, but by Carnage. And they know it.

14:24:49 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Mijamoto Mushashi:

nobody should've napped jesters ... they're still ending up as food, and they took too much space :-p

17:23:14 Aug 10th 07 - Ms. Persephone:

< I dont understand what carnage has been up to.....>

Duh? Trying to get 200 men into our kingdom, hello???

Seriously, i am tired of trying to argue rationally with some in these forums so i am not going to even bother pointing out what we have done as far as zeon is concerned.....( a failed invasion into our core, taking most of pks southern core only to lose most of the cities back to us....) Now Mijamoto is doing a damn fine job of guerrilla warfare with his large nazzie force in our core....good job mate....

See, I consider myelf a mature enough player to be able to pat the opposition on the back and and say well done and good job (Only times i wont is if they choose to act like total asses in the forums about it...seriously is it that hard to have a good clean war?) Clearly Abydos has proven to be the most dominant kingdom this era, well done and good job^^

And imo, zeon would have been wiped out if it wasnt for their map with abydos, because abydos started 3 weeks ago massing literally millions of men at our doorstep, we had to do the same, thus taking alot of attention off of zeon and our other enemies.

Of course this isnt aimed at most of the zeon players, alot of them are proving to be fun in combat (I'm in love with Bruto:)

And jesters are proving to be a good kingdom themselves, they had some very nice armies moving against us early on in the era....

But if some of you get your jollies by randomy flaming based on subjective opinions then flame on!

17:33:29 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Mijamoto Mushashi:

yeah, thanks, too bad crom forgot his mages  ;-)

18:01:04 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Dark Orion:

Messiah..by MAPing both kds had advantages..dunno who had most to gain from the other this, dunno if this really matters and dunno if i can agree with you:P

lol Perse darling..u make me blush:P

<3

18:03:42 Aug 10th 07 - Dark Lord Finwe:

well the map was made before the era started so talking about if they didnt bla bla is kinda lame :D

18:29:54 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Anatoliy Grushkov:

hhehe perseph seems your kds pretty bollocksed up.

18:37:53 Aug 10th 07 - Ms. Persephone:

Uhmmm....not really......well we are in the sense that we're all egomaniacal insane evil monkeys who have a fetish for barnyard animals.....

but as far as the map, not really, most of our core is still intact, and our north and center will remain so for the remainder of the era at least, even if those abydos armies spank us in the south^^

uhmmm....are you on fant? because if not then you really have no idea what you are speaking about dearie^^

20:05:36 Aug 10th 07 - Sir Helios:

Even if Abydos or that Zeon army skiped everything in the south they still would not get to the bulk of our Core(s). (yes i said CoreS) When you get enough space i believe you can have more then 1. =P

Very true that Abydos has been a huge drain on our military that could be used to slaughter on other fronts. Last check had them at 3.6m troops i think and that was over a week ago? (very likley over 5-6m now) Keeping up with the troops to keep them out is the easy part. Dealing with a KD in the east and west with very nice size armies just makes it a very interesting and fun war. =) Counted well over 700k "fighting" troops from Zeon just this past week. Thats not counting MU's. The nice 350k or so axemen army with 150k or so MU's being the newest addition.

Red Hand has had some fairly nice size also with some good merges to. Few nice moves on their part and lack of reenforcements on our part gave them the edge for a bit but nothing that hasn't or won't be delt with. Still nice job to these guys for putting up a nice fight. =)

Now anyone that says we are a pushover or can't even defend a blocker clearly don't understand what is going on.

For all those in Carnage, Big pat on the back for the teamwork on keeping our enemies out or pushing them back for most of the era. Great job guys, I'm glad to be part of an awesome KD! (Stupid filter!)

20:08:22 Aug 10th 07 - Dark Lord Finwe:

i suppose when you have 40+ members a lot of people will attack you thinking you have enough spare for a war :D

20:12:11 Aug 10th 07 - Sir Bruto Cikayson:

"(I'm in love with Bruto:)"

I'm telling Hades on you!

-jumps down a deep ravine-

-but splats on the bottom... oops... wrong ravine... I meant to jump down 376 Ravine Row, Greece-

In all seriousness, though, what combat?  I think Dionysus wiped out my only independant army down there when I was offline... most of the era I've been putting my men into merges or putting them into the meatgrinder against the evil Legacian Empire oO

Oh, and about Zeon and Abydos, I think it's easy to say who would have been better off without the other without actually knowing... lately we've been holding off a Legacian outbreak while Abydos keeps Carnage sweating and pumping their blocker cities, thus keeping the stalemate alive.  But it is more evident that Abydos has saved our asses than the other way around, really.

20:50:33 Aug 10th 07 - Sir Bruto Cikayson:

"but as far as the map, not really, most of our core is still intact, and our north and center will remain so for the remainder of the era at least, even if those abydos armies spank us in the south^^"

I see all your blocker cities to the north.  And I haven't heard of any wars going on up there, so presumably it's owned by one kingdom, or two with an nap.  So basically, I believe you oO

21:10:59 Aug 10th 07 - Mr. Stelios:

i vote or abydos for having a big army

21:43:57 Aug 10th 07 - Wolflord Karac:

Helios, i thank you for all of Red Hand for the kind words. It has been a fun fight.

23:16:23 Aug 10th 07 - Lord Hermes:

"-jumps down a deep ravine-

-but splats on the bottom... oops... wrong ravine... I meant to jump down 376 Ravine Row, Greece-"

*Sighs as he goes towards Bruto*

Foolish people always killing themselves. Follow me, Bruto. I'm the fool who needs to bring you to the Underworld.

09:31:03 Aug 11th 07 - Sir Bruto Cikayson:

I'm... not... quite... dead!

Dying...

Okay, all ready :)

Wait, isn't this the guy who'se supposed to be taking me away?

10:48:59 Aug 11th 07 - Lord Hermes:

No. He is just made up to scare little kids.

06:52:44 Aug 12th 07 - Mr. Epyon:

07:42:12 Aug 12th 07 - Mr. Anatoliy Grushkov:

SCENE I. The Main Forum. Topic: Era Winners.

Enter Anatoliy, Persephone, Helios, and certain Commoners

Persephone

Hence! home, you idle creatures get you home:
Is this a holiday? what! know you not,
Being mechanical, you ought not walk
Upon a labouring day without the sign
Of your profession? Speak, what trade art thou?

First Commoner
Why, sir, a carpenter.
Anatoliy
Where is thy leather apron and thy rule?
What dost thou with thy best apparel on?
You, sir, what trade are you?
Second Commoner
Truly, sir, in respect of a fine workman, I am but,
as you would say, a cobbler.
Persephone
But what trade art thou? answer me directly.
Second Commoner
A trade, sir, that, I hope, I may use with a safe
conscience; which is, indeed, sir, a mender of bad soles.

Helios

What trade, thou knave? thou naughty knave, what trade?
Second Commoner
Nay, I beseech you, sir, be not out with me: yet,
if you be out, sir, I can mend you.
Persephone
What meanest thou by that? mend me, thou saucy fellow!
Second Commoner
Why, sir, cobble you.
Anatoliy
Thou art a cobbler, art thou?
Second Commoner
Truly, sir, all that I live by is with the awl: I
meddle with no tradesman's matters, nor women's
matters, but with awl. I am, indeed, sir, a surgeon
to old shoes; when they are in great danger, I
recover them. As proper men as ever trod upon
neat's leather have gone upon my handiwork.
Persephone
But wherefore art not in thy shop today?
Why dost thou lead these men about the streets?
Second Commoner
Truly, sir, to wear out their shoes, to get myself
into more work. But, indeed, sir, we make holiday,
to see Great Caesar and to rejoice in his triumph.
